Yeah this was very mat based but man was it awesome. Santo is just lightning quick and Casas is just as fast. The end was a little weird but finished with a nice Tope.

It's not a great match or even good but I think Dennis Rodman vs Curt Hennig from the i-Generation Wrestling July 30th ppv should be on. If for anything because of the mini riot that breaks out.

I would think Hogan vs Curt Hennig w/ Bobby Hennan as Manager might go on. Maybe Kid Kash vs AJ Styles? Did Lawler vs Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger ever air?

[1992-01-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Arn Anderson vs Dustin Rhodes
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
Awesome match and a great performance from both guys. The nearfalls worked real well. The only thing I didn't like was JR's commentary. He got better towards the end.- 19 replies

[1992-01-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Interview: Rick Rude & Paul E. Dangerously
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
Yeah Loss is right about this being a great interview. Did this ever lead to a Rude/Sting match with Paul E handcuffed to Magnum? And what's the deal with Rude's right cheek? Looks like his mouth got cut open.- 12 replies

[1992-01-04-USWA-TV] The Moondogs vs Jeff Jarrett & Robert Fuller
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
I really like Richard Lee. He's the best of the Paul E style manager Memphis had. Some of the shots the Moondogs take are nuts. No wonder they had to change Moondogs every couple months. And I love the Fuller/Jarrett team. The 1991 Yearbook should include some of that team.- 17 replies

[1992-01-05-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Interview: Randy Savage & Elizabeth
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
Elizabeth always looked so uncomfortable out there during interviews. I guess I can see why though.- 15 replies

Decent match but it felt like just when it was getting good, it was over. Felt like both guys were going through the motions.

This was an alright match but it bothered me for a number of reasons. The first was Rick doing a top rope bulldog 5 minutes in and sting was fine. Wasn't that his finish? And speaking of finish, the one in this match was just the worst. That was a lame double pin. Crowd seemed confused and so did the wrestler. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Loved Rick's suplexes and Sting being motivated.

Wasn't it that Vince wanted a cut in the GI Joe money but Sarge said no so he left? -

I gotta go with Liger vs Steven Dunn of Well Dunn fame. Or maybe Liger vs Jimmy Jam Garvin -

I liked Mason in FCW but he's awful in WWE. Like worse than Jackson Andrews bad. -
I'd put Lawler as a better tag wrestler over Dundee. He was great with Idol, Jarrett in 92 and even Brian Christopher in 93/94. Some more to include: Ultimo Guerrero: Really liked his tag team with Rey Bucanero. He's also done good with Atlantis and the useless Dragon Rojo Jr. Danny Davis: Had a good run with Ken Wayne as the Nightmares. Also teamed with RVD in USWA 91 and didn't he team with one of the Armstrongs in SMW?

Working fine for me. -
I know for a fact they worked with some local High school football teams and had them sit in the front row.

WWE has offered Roode a contract in the past but he's turned it down. I'm sure he would go there if TNA was gone. -
Interesting notes/tidbits/BS found in the PWT Wrestling Observer scans

Carl Styles had a pretty big run in the final days of Portland Wrestling as a lackey to the Grappler. He also had a run in Memphis in the early 90's teaming with Tom Prichard and Eric Embry vs guys like Lawler and Dirty White Boy. Didn't he also wrestle with a glass Eye? I remember reading in the old John Mcadam lists about how he did a angle with some heel where he got his eye taken out as heel heat. -
Goldust for sure. He complained so much, he was basically banned from twitter.

The Harts worked good doing the Southern Style when they feuded with Lawler in 93 USWA. I haven't seen Owen's SMW match though.
-
CWA was just Memphis. USWA was when Memphis merged with the old World Class Promotion. After that folded, they just kept the name till the end.

The pre Memphis Savage obit in today's Observer was really well done. It's a shame that none of the Savage vs Bobby Eaton 60 minute draws were never taped.
