Jumbo has really impressed me so far. I like his grump character and Fuchi is great as always. Weird seeing Taue and Kawada not teaming.

Averno had a tryout in October along with Sin Cara and some other guys.

Good match and I love the way that Rude sell atomic drops. And nice cameo by Rip Rogers as one of the security guys the DA beat up.

They were lip synching? It sounded like they were talking over the soundtrack. This was kinda sad and embarrassing to watch.

Hammer started out good but seemed lost when they went outside. Probably his best match ever.

[1992-01-21-WCW-Clash of the Champions XVIII] Jesse Ventura and Sting
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
It's a shame that Frey didn't last so long cause he seemed to get the guys motivated. Crowd was going wild for Sting and I guess this was the final days for Luger in WCW. Did he ever show up in person before Superbrawl?- 11 replies

Yeah Bagwell was horrible at times. Looked like Taylor was getting pissed towards the end. OK match but doesn't match up to some other tags on this set.

The Steiners throwing big dudes around never gets old. The finish was a little wonky though but I liked the match

[1992-01-21-AJPW-New Year's Giant Series] Jumbo Tsuruta vs Toshiaki Kawada
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
I haven't seen much of Jumbo but he was just awesome here. I liked the moves he did to the outside like the Piledriver and throwing Kawada into the ring barrier. He's like the less crazy Japanese version of Hansen.- 14 replies

They still had Valentine and Flair beat each other up for about 5 minutes. Valentine giving Flair the figure 4 is one of my favorite spots in the match. Besides Heenan and Flair were had career making performances, my favorite thing was probably Jake vs Savage. Jake getting near the ropes everytime the horn blew was great.

Wasn't Slinger Terry Gordy's cousin or something like that? -
[1992-01-19-WWF-Royal Rumble] Roddy Piper vs The Mountie
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
The thing with the shockstick is just so corny it's funny. -
This was really fun. Caras and Wagner work great together and the cowboys are just so in sync as a team. My favorite part of the match though was Kid seemed to piss of Dos Caras who came in and gave him a stiff clothesline and dropkick that landed right on the chin. Good match from a underrated promotion.

I kind liked the Santo/Benoit section even though it was very short. Santo and Casas like Loss said were incredible in this match. Just so fluid and fast and Santo's dives were amazing. Benoit was in CMLL in 94 as I got a Benoit in Mexico comp a couple years ago. He was with Rayo, Vampiro, Haku and I think King and Texano. He wasn't horrible but yeah he kinda looked like he didn't want to hurt anyone.

Good match but in how many 6 man matches did they do the "eaton does a leg drop on the guy doing the pin" finish? This is the second time on the set so far.

I don't think he mentioned Piper or Paul Orndorff either did he?

This was when Bret was rumored to go to WCW so they took the title off him right? I remember seeing this on the Royal Rumble VHS tape.

[1992-01-17-USWA-Kennett, MO] Jeff Jarrett & Jerry Lawler vs The Moondogs
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
This is just a crazy brawl. Jarrett gets bloodied up in the shoulder area and back. Buddy Wayne kept trying to get the fans back but it didn't work. Lawler almost takes out a dad and kid with a garbage can.- 19 replies

OK match but it didn't feel very exciting. Some nice kicks by Flynn and ground work by Sano though.

[1992-01-12-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Barber Shop: The Rockers

Pretty hardcore angle for 92. Michaels was just great here and it's a shame a real feud never happened. -
This was a good preview of what's to come. I was really impressed with Larry Z here. Madusa in a man's suit was weird.

[1992-01-11-WWF-Superstars] Funeral Parlor: Ric Flair & Mr Perfect
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in January 1992
Flair seemed a lot more crazed in his WWF interviews than WCW/NWA. I also like Perfect as Flair's consultant or whatever he was. Flair didn't need it but it helped. -
Lawler was probably my favorite wrestler in 92 watching USWA but this was awful. Most of that is thanks to my dislike for Backlund. Just so boring and had no fire at all. Lawler tried but way too many armlocks and the crowd chanting "boring" didn't help much.

Very Memphis style angle. When was Gary Young in the First Family? That had to have been 88 right?

I really liked Jumbo and Fuchi being total heels to Kobashi and attacking the knee. Good match but not something that really stand out.
