  1. It looked like Miz took a top rope brainbuster off the cage. That was nuts looking and he's lucky he didn't break his neck. Del Rio was the MVP of this show with his bumps on that ladder.
  2. He was there March 1988 with his father and Brother. He also booked Alabama in 88 too.
  3. Mooney also returned on one of those Raw specials. I think it was the return to USA. Watching the Angle/Jarrett match from Lockdown and Angle is just fucking nuts. He almost landed on his head on a Top rope Powerbomb. Then he did a top of the cage moonsalt to nowhere. Even if he wanted to go to WWE, I doubt they would accept him now.
  4. If this was best character, I'd give it to Hogan easily. My pick is Tenyru. The matches with Takada were just great. If Savage had stayed around longer, I would have picked him probably.
  5. Is this the first time Luger racked the Giant? I know he did like a fireman's carry at WW3.
  6. Gotta agree this was disappointing. Rey looked injured early in the match and Liger just wasn't into it it seems. Shame they never had a match in Japan.
  7. I got this higher than the GAB match but lower than the WW3 match. Thought Malenko looked better here than he has on the set. This didn't have as much down time as the GAB match did and Ultimo did some good stuff here.
  8. Mason Ryan uses it in FCW.
  9. The ref here is almost as bad as Tirantes Jr. getting involved in matches. Some good punches and like Loss said, great to see face Finlay in Germany.
  10. They were at the Big one at this time after getting kicked out of the Coliseum. It is kinda sad that the only footage avaiable is clipped or features Randy Hales wrestling. Really liked this match and the babyface turn after it. Phil, have you seen the match they had in 98 in Power Pro? If not, I"ll upload it for ya.
  11. You would think the announcers could tell the difference by now? Still love this but I agree it got overdone too much like a lot of things in the NWO era.
  12. Yeah this was really great. You would have though they would have a styles clash but they work perfectly.
  13. I like 10/10 more but this is just an awesome match. I was really impressed with Delphin here as he looked extra motivated. As already said, Togo/Yakushiji is outstanding. Did they ever have any singles matches?
  14. Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Didn't like it as much as the UWFI match but it's still a good brutal match. Tenyru following a kick with a Lariat was awesome. Really looking forward to Good Helmet's Tenyru set.
  15. Is anyone really going to remember that slip? Primo did ok trying to cover for it. I doubt Cara will do the move again though. And Sin cara's offense looked better than John Morrison's.
  16. I really enjoyed this. Funk/Onita was great and Onita might be the best emotional wrestler ever. He just lets it all out and his post match crying is always good. Loved the stuff with Pogo.
  17. This was kinda dull compared to the other Joshi matches. No heat or emotion.
  18. Didn't Trish retire was World Diva's champion?
  19. Superstars had angles. Like the Trent Barretta/Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks/Chris Masters feud. Some of those Masters/Reks matches felt like squashes. So did the Masters/Hawkins matches. It's probably the closest WWE will ever get to a "squash-oriented" show.
  20. I thought Shawn was going to deck that fan. Nice to see Arturo Rivera at ringside as this was during the WWF/AAA partnership.
  21. Yeah a Jim Ross/Mike Tenay team back in 96 would have been great. The match was alright but I never really liked Snow as a heel in WWF. Just didn't seem right. Vince's "dancing" needs to be made into a GIF.
  22. It's kinda sad that Piper says he will never take a dive yet did it with Buff Bagwell 3 years later.
  23. I don't get how it's meaningless .1's. They had a show with basically squash matches and look what happened? It got canceled in the states.
  24. Didn't he bypass the English classes along with developmental? The only people backstage who could understand him would be Rey and I'm guessing probably Chavo/Vickie. Also isn't it likely if he is talking about taking masks/hair it's because only someone booked as a top guy like he was would have taken as many as he did. It's kind of a "shoot accomplishment" in a way since it's a sign of how big a draw someone is in Mexico. I'm pretty sure he's living in Tampa and probably goes to FCW to study english/WWE style on his off days. I saw him at a FCW house show a couple weeks ago.
