  1. I didn't see a topic about this. Anyone get this set? I know Loss and company did. I hope to have the money in sometime next week. Looking very forward to this as I hope it's not as hard to watch and rank as the Mid South set was, I don't mean that as a bad thing, it's just that there were so many matches and they blended together. The response over at DVDVR seems to be positve. What do you guys think? Feel free to use this as a discussion topic.
  2. I thought it was Hijo Del Rey Misterio, Sr.'s son? I know they go around the country selling the guy like he's Rey Jr.
  3. Who exactly is Martin Karadagian?

  5. Never seen this before but it's awesome. What a defense.
  6. He had a shot at winning it but like Jeff Hardy, Screwed himself by failing a drug test.
  7. He wrote his own TV series Freddie that lasted about a season on ABC.
  8. He probably knows no casual fan in West Virginia knows what ROH is so why mention it?
  9. Mexico: You can add Blue Panther, Negro Casas and Pirata Morgan to the list. Especially Negro who I think got better in the 90's. Granted I haven't seen a lot of his 80's stuff. Same thing goes with Santo. How is his 80's wrestling compared to the great stuff he did in AAA and CMLL in the 90's? As for guys that didn't adapt so well, Perro Sr. should top the list.
  10. Thanks for this Loss. God that is gold. Paul E was so awesome back then.
  11. Rikishi running over Austin Austin dropping HHH's Car NWO running into Rock's Limo Vince's car blowing up (Would that count?) Cena's car thing from Monday Night That's all I can remember off hand.
  12. Safer Styles in IWA MS? Like that will ever happen.

  14. How is Foley's title win a waste? I mean how many thousands of viewers did that moment gain when Schivonie said Foley was going to win and all those people went from WCW to Raw? I still remember it to this day. I can't say that about a lot of "ppv title changes". And Punk looked like a huge star tonight vs JBL. Very good Raw now that HHH and the Mcmahons aren't on it all the time.
  15. I'm kinda surprised his book is not named "Mama always says, It be that way sometimes." I guess I think this because I"ve been watching a lot of Memphis lately and he always says that.
  16. Thanks to GH's listings on the Guerrero set, Villano IV worked New Japan in 96 along with AAA and I would guess he was working WCW around the time. Didn't Rey Jr. do a tour around this time in New Japan?
  17. Until it gets more ratings than Raw, it's still be B show. I mean it's still going to be on Friday's right?
  18. Cole is better now that he was back then. If this sticks with Cole staying on Raw, I think it could be good. I think JR is not going to last long on Smackdown. Especially from reading his blog about not wanting to go to Connecticut for post production. And I won't believe HHH is going to Smackdown till he wrestles in a Smackdown ring.
  19. What happened to DVDVR? Someone forget to pay the bills or something?
  20. So is this the next step to Alvarez inheriting the Observer once Meltzer goes MMA full time for Yahoo? Makes sense I guess.
  21. Negro Navarro vs Solar 6/1/08 Arena Coliseo de Monterrey CMLLVIP So I finally remembered what time Arena Coliseo airs on Multimedios. This is a independent organization that uses CMLL talent. Last month they had a deal with AAA but reverted back to CMLL. If you've seen matches between these two, you know what to expect. Lots of Mat work, no strikes and no flying. Navarro has to be close to 60 and is still better than most wrestlers. Solar also is great. Solar is the Salvador Champ coming in. Both men are fairly even throughout the match. Solar wins the first fall with a submission and Navarro wins the second fall with a nice cradle pin. Of course if you know Monterrey, it's famous for shitty finishes and this was no exception. Dusty Rhodes would be proud. Negro hits the ref on accident and the ref goes down. He gets up and Navarro is pinning Solar. Navarro thought he won but the ref raises Solar's hand. Great match with a shitty finish.
  22. It's not the match that makes it awesome. The whole angle leading to the match with Flair kissing up to Marlin and Russell, Lawler baiting Flair to change the match from facing a jobber to facing him for the title. And then after the match with Flair and Jimmy Hart. Just great stuff.
  23. Good review Bix. Although, I could have lived without the last paragraph.
  24. Is he talking about Corey Maclin?
  25. So who is this Matthew Randazzo? Just asking cause I've never heard of him except the link that Bix has been spreading everywhere. As for the people that should read this book that won't, Fuck them. If Benoit killing his kid didn't change them, nothing will.
