1. Continue to go to the same amount of shows as I did this year. By my count, I went to about 30(NXT, Evolve, Local indies). I'd like to travel more like to Tampa and the Georgia indies that are red hot these days. 2. See Jimmy Rave live at least once. He's one of the best guys out there today and I hope he wrestles in Florida sometime. 3. Branch out of my comfort zone for the GWE. I've watched a lot of lucha and US styles. I kinda want to try and get into more British wrestling and Puro. 4. Cut down on my WWE main roster watching. I went a week during Christmas not watching anything at all. I didn't really miss it all that much. I hardly watch SD anymore and Raw is background noise these days.

Phil, I don't know if you know this but Damien is now working small Puerto Rico indie EWO with guys like Chase Stevens, Chris Michales and Savio Vega. I guess they are doing some kind of invasion angle with Wayne's local promotion AIWF.

Anyone watch the go home show for Takeover? Thought they did a real good job hyping up the women's matches and the tag title match. Serious Enzo Amore is really good. They did a better job hyping those 3 matches than the main event which should be good but it's one of the lesser main events of these shows. January 2016 should be pretty big for NXT in Orlando. They are running 3 tapings in January, 2 at full sail and one at UCF for the Rumble weekend. According to HHH, the UCF show is not a Takeover. If they tape 3 shows a night, that should have shows up to March. Apparently they are making a big announcement after the Holidays which I guess will be a regular touring schedule.

Been watching more Memphis 1999 now that I finished the 99 yearbook. I'm up to the end of October 1999. Power Pro is being carried by the Doug Gilbert vs Brian Christopher feud. I think Brian was out of the WWF with a knee injury so he did his rehab in Memphis. Just a total prick heel to everyone between hitting Randy hales with a lighttube, bringing in his own cheering section and bringing back the Spellbinder to play Tommy Rich. Watching the feud continue, I can understand why Doug did what he did. Brian was so witty on the mic and Doug had nothing to say back. Other feuds include Jim Cornette and his group vs Brandon Baxter and his charge, Ali who is this big 6'6 black guy that had a great finisher. I"m surprised Vince didn't sign him really. Cornette ran out Vic Grimes as he left to go to ECW and Bradley beat Angle out of town who went to WWF. Meanwhile in KAW, they were still running strip clubs and small flea markets. The big feud was Terry Golden and BIll Dundee. Dundee kept ducking Golden's challenges so Golden went to Dundee's "other job" which was a strip club/sex toy shop to confront him. This got Dundee pissed and he agreed to the match. They replayed this for weeks but it was hilarious. Dundee in his zubaz doing strip club DJ voice while yelling at Golden and the camera crew. The "wrestling" part of the show was pretty much non extant. The promotion would turn into WWF's Memphis Championship Wrestling in about 3 months and they only had a handful of guys. Looking forward to seeing when Lawler shows up after all the shit talking Terry Golden did. Best part of the show was Brickhouse Brown and Danny B coming out to a Kirk Franklin song.

Seeing Joe and Storm being motivated in NXT makes me sad that Bobby Roode is stuck in TNA. I would pay a lot of money to see Beer Money vs Gable/Jordan. I could also watch Emma squash enhancement talent women all day. Probably the best squash match wrestler on the roster today . Just a fun hour of wrestling.

Guys hanging round in tag gear after split
Tim Evans replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
I think Jamie Dundee still wrestles in his PG-13 gear even after Wolfie D changed his name to Slash and got a new look. Bradshaw is another good choice after the Blackjacks broke up. -
[1999-12-31-ECW-TNN] Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
This match is pretty played out by this time but they still do enough to make it entertaining. That finish was insane for Tanaka to take. The fan that Awesome takes out was I think Spike's girlfriend that was a student at the ECW school who only lasted a few weeks. Good finish to 1999.- 12 replies

Serious Rock here which is nice. He still does some of his catchphrases but he actually seems pissed and concerned for once about someone other than himself.

[1999-12-30-WWF-Smackdown] Chris Jericho vs Chyna
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
I'm trying to think of a worst time for the IC belt but I can't think of one. I remember hating this as a kid and it's even worse now. Why didn't they restart the match at least? -
[1999-12-27-WCW-Nitro] Kevin Nash vs Sid & The Wall (Handicap)
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
So wait, they let a concussed Bret Hart drive a monster truck and not some stunt driver? God that's so WCW. Scott turns heel in something a blind man could see happen. -
[1999-12-27-WCW-Nitro] The Revolution at the White House

This is like something about of 2015 Fox News. WCW was ahead of its time.- 2 replies

I marked out for the old Steiner brothers theme. Scott did a good job but it's all for moot given what happens later. NWO talk segment was pretty boring except for Nash calling out Bill Busch.

I guess this was no DQ? Good ending to the match with mankind running out and the crowd going crazy. However, man Show looks awful here. Just plain as hell and Billy Gunn looks almost the same size as him. Weird booking of the champ.

[1999-12-27-WWF-Raw] Mark Henry and Harvey Whippleman Double Date
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
Harvey's poem was great. As was Moolah and Mae beating down those guys. Harvey's reaction at the end was funny too. Love Mae/Mark. -
[1999-12-27-WWF-Raw] The Rock vs Mankind (Pink Slip on a Pole)
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
Both guys do a real good job with this stip. Lots of emotion and even the Al Snow's interference made sense. Foley takes a sick bump during the finish. -
So this is what happened to Vic Grimes after he lost the cage match with Steve Bradley in Memphis? He sure did have one weird year in 1999. As for the segment, it was typical Impact players. Why is Credible wearing a towel while wearing jorts?

[1999-12-24-ECW-TNN] Steve Corino, Rhino and Balls Mahoney

So Rhino has replaced the dudleys in bloodying up Balls Mahoney? I can believe that.- 2 replies

I wonder if Goldberg thought the windows were gimmicked before he did this? Very WWE like switching to black and white when the blood comes on. I'm not saying this was the end for WCW but it was one of the reasons.

[1999-12-23-WCW-Thunder] David Flair and Crowbar vignette
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
Crowbar doesn't do oil changes. Imagine stopping by a gas station and seeing the Misfits of all people beating someone up. Was this Daffney's first appearance? What happened with David and Symphony? -
[1999-12-23-WWF-Smackdown] WWF Wrestler's meeting
Tim Evans replied to Loss's topic in December 1999
Second wrestler meeting in a row. It's funny that WCW was doing a union gimmick with Piper and then WWF is basically doing one here. Poor Mean Street Posse tho. -
Interesting match that would be in the style of 2000s US indie wrestling. I've always heard about Flesch but never seen him wrestle. He's almost like a more accurate Ric Blade but still careless. Big fan of Curry Man and that finish with the springboard Rock bottom ruled. Fun match.
