  1. If Eva Marie was in the indies for almost 4 years and sucked at the level she does now, she wouldn't get backlash because nobody would know about her existance. Indy wrestling is flooded with women that are extremely attractive and extremely awful in the ring and it is barely a blip on the radar After seeing the statement, I would be shocked if Charlotte still has the title by the end of Survivor Series unless she comes out and admits that it was her idea even if it wasn't She would be Velvet Sky. As for the Flair thing, I think the outrage is just getting ridiculous. If this was another diva whose brother had died like that, I don't think it would get have the hate this is getting. It was in bad taste and shouldn't have happened but the hate is getting annoying.
  2. I'm more offended by ADR/Kalisto than the diva thing. You make this big deal about Kalisto beating Ryback and then he has that match on Raw where ADR gets all the offense and that painful looking finish. Just totally useless and makes Kalisto look even more weak than he already was. Also doesn't do much for Ryback either. Charlotte is the worst divas champion since probably Kaitlyn. She can't talk, can't really wrestle except when she's in the ring with a really good worker like Sasha or Natalya and can't get a pop worth a damn.
  3. That Bret line was great. Why did PIper come out when he said he left the building? Poor Goldberg, his heat is taken from Nash and the NWO again. Not even the announcers can sell this. I wonder how long this version would have gone if Bret stayed healthy?
  4. This stuff is so confusing and so Russo. Piper's kid comes out and seems even more confused then me Goldberg says things and then Bret drops the S bomb again. Finally the censors catch it at the end. Awful stuff.
  5. Man this was hilarious. Nash is cutting this serious promo and no one gives a shit or believes it. Oh Russo. I wonder what Bret was thinking during this?
  6. I thought this was going to be a comedy match until the Outlaws show up. Road dogg doing the dance while dressed like Santa claus was funny. Then HHH shows up and hits mankind with a mirror. That had to hurt. LIked the Christmas music playing after the match.
  7. It's amazing to see how good Angle was in his rookie year. After watching his Memphis run, he really hit his stride during the feud with Wolfie D when he turned heel. Loved the three I's.
  8. I went to 52. It was a fun show for the most part. I agree with Krisz that Gargano had a break out weekend it seems. I like the guy mostly and he has good theme music. Nice to see him work on the mat and not do his usual spotty moves. Thatcher/Galloway was amazing live and the best match of the night. Only match I didn't like was Page/Rush. I don't think Rush was that impressive compared to Stich Orsiris and Black Baron on the FIP card or even Jason Cade. Page is ok but his "Ole Anderson 1980" gimmick is not over at all. As for the Florida crowds, Yeah they are shitty but Gabe brings it on himself. At least in Orlando, They have been in 4 different buildings since running Florida. All are in bad parts of towns or way in the back from a major highway. The building they ran last week, Barnett Park had a hindu street festival running in the parking lot and a paintball place right next door. Evolve does little to no advertising around town. You have to follow Gabe on Twitter or Facebook to know when the shows are happening. The only FIP/Evolve guys that are truly over are Gargano and Maxwell Chicago. PAB and Val get heat but sometimes it's go away heat. The building they are running the tag tourney in is right downtown so they should get more people. Plus it's Rumble weekend.
  9. What a great way to the end last ppv of the 90's for WCW. A Montreal finish. I'm trying to figure out where Bret gets concussed. If I remember correctly, it's from a Goldberg spinkick and not the spear. It seems like they were piping in Goldberg chants as you can hear a loud "goldberg sucks" chant aftewards. OK match I guess but the finish felt flat.
  10. Of course Benoit does a flying headbutt from the top of the ladder. It's been a while since I've seen this in full but I remember it being real good. Benoit was probably the best wrestler in the country at the time and he seemed to have good chemistry with Jarrett.
  11. While this had plenty of hard bumps and weapons shots, this was easier to watch than the Awesome matches. I wish this was Team No Respect version of Kanemura but it wasn't meant to be. Another good ECW house show match. They were on a roll at the time.
  12. Super Calo is one of the more random names to come to ECW. He could still go and worked well with Crazy as a team. Tajiri was the one that held this together with his heel work and kicks. I liked his reaction when someone in the crowd mentioned Muta. He had this bewildered look on his face. Good house show match.
  13. Scotty tells Dreamer to get out of the way as he's blocking his feud and then the camera pans around and shows it's a snowing tv screen. If it wasn't for the Nash/Savage and Brickhouse Brown/Danny B feuds, I think this was the worst feud of 1999.
  14. You can't get more sterotypical southern tag team than Trailer Park Trash and Jebediah. I'm surprised they weren't in KAW. Sorta surprised that Cornette booked a title change on tv but I guess he did that sometimes in SMW so of course it happens in OVW.
  15. Man Tanaka takes some punishment in this match. Even more than usual. Multiple powerbombs to the outside. His elbow is bleeding from the DDT through the table and the final powerbomb to the outside where his head bounces off the concrete. Just brutal. Yeah the crowd was annoying with the "we want tables" chant. Not sure why Paul E and the whole roster were out watching. Did only the finish air on tv? I remember seeing it but not the whole match.
  16. Nice house show match. Smothers did a few of these after his FBI run. I think he had one with RVD too. Rich is so great at ringside. Especially when the fans start chanting boring.
  17. Francine says she understand Raven. I guess this is the beginning of her short run as Raven's valet.
  18. Sandman's music lasts longer than the beatdown. I wonder if he ever got in trouble pouring beer down fans throats like that? Sandman hits Jason with the cane and the sound was sickening.
  19. About as safe of a brawl as you were going to get in those days. I always liked Al Snow's bowling ball stunt. Finish was nice too. You can tell Mankind was really hurting. Good blow off match.
  20. He might make the bottom of my list. I mean he was probably Mexico's biggest heel since Art Barr/Eddie Guerrero and had one of the true alternatives to AAA/CMLL even though it didn't last long. Had some real good feud with Park, Hector Garza, Mistico, Wagner and others. I like him better than his dad although his dad had better brawls. To prove how important Perro Jr was even in 2014, look what AAA is going through just to replace him as top heel.
  21. Big Show looks like Biker Taker here. This was the beginning of the end of the Vince era and the being of the Steph reign of terror.
  22. I remember when they did this in Memphis with 5 on 5. That made sense. This does not. Why isn't anyone helping Goldberg/Bret? Why is Jarrett in whiteface? So many questions.
  23. Out of all the WWF rejects WCW brought in, Clarence Mason is a weird one. His commentary with Juvi is something else. RIP the Triad.
  24. Sting had a rough time putting Luger in the rack. I wonder how many heels dressed up like Sting in his career? The only ones I can think of are Barry Windham, NWO Sting, Luger and Jeff Jarrett.
  25. THE JUICE IS LOOSE!!! God bless Juvi. He was gold with this gimmick.
