    I don't see what they saw in Ogawa as he's just so awkward looking. Even more than Takayama. Hashimoto carries this was his selling and the crowd going nuts. Inoki strutting in with his tux calling off the match was just manly. Better than 1/4 that's for sure.

    If you aren't a student, the tickets are $10. $20 if you sit ringside which most of the non students do. I say the crowds about about 20/30 percent students these days.

    They need an established indie guy to lead the brand so Balor is it. I think he'll be on the main roster after Mania though. They have some guys that haven't even debuted yet like Uhaa Nation who can take the place of guys that get called it. It will be harder to replace the women but divas like KC, Jesse and even Lina are already over with the crowd.

    Pretty sure Seth won by Dq. If only people watched raw, they wouldn't have booked Taker/Lesnar.

    Good match with the crowd getting behind them in the dome. It seemed more fast paced than usual. Otani is awesome and I loved the missle dropkick party toward the end

    Wasn't Liger pretty much done by 97/98 anyways? I guess the Ka Shin expererment is over since he lost the title.

    Jake has clearly hit the casino bar by the time this promo was shot. This ppv is legendary and I remember watching it live. Sad you guys didn't include Yokozuna getting molested during his entrance and everything Iron Sheik.

    George Steele dressed in normal clothes is just wrong. Sherri strips for some reason in a hotel and goes with George into a hotel room. Then cuts a drunk promo with Michael St. John.

    This is from the pre show so it was taped before Jake got really hammered. Talking about gambling.

    Sound was pretty bad so I couldn't understand what they were saying. Madusa interviewing Regal/Taylor/Finlay while dressed like slutty Apollo Creed is interesting. Its strange WCW brought back Regal after his disastrous WWF run but it's WCW so I shouldn't be too surprised.

    Fatu pre Rikishi's run in Memphis in 1999 as JR. Smooth. He had this stable of guys called the BDK with guys like Ekmo(Umaga), Mattie Smalls(Rosey), Glen Kulka( A former Canadian football player who was signed to WWF but never made it) and he feuded with Post TL Hopper Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony. JR Smooth was a way better gimmick than Rikishi I think. To put a big 2 fed choice, I'll mention British Bulldog's 1999. This was before he became the jeans wearing partner of the Mean Street Posse. Remember when he gave Stephanie amnesia right before her wedding to Test in Britain?

    Flash cuts a passionate but stumbling heel promo. Talks about getting screwed in the HITC by the ref and Cornette. Bashes the ref including his family and the ref wants to fight. Of course, this being Jim Cornette, he has to get a shot in at the heel. It was ridiculous in 1995 and its even more in 1999.

    I have no idea who any of these people are but its so cheesy and Memphis like, I gotta love it. So this would be like the 3rd or 4th Scott Casey in wrestling right? These women make DWG look like 1996 Sunny.

    The Brian Christopher southern tour 99 makes its way to Louisville. He's still wearing his Too Sexy gear and cheats to win. Dinsmore has to join Bolin for 60 days. Good Southern finish right there.

    Lots of crazy things happening here. Brian rolls out on a gurney. Doug attacks one of the EMTs. Brian hogties Doug and the tries to wheel him in traffic. Just what the hell Randy Hales? Brian dancing with his kneebrace while wearing a WWF shirt is GIF worthy. Good stuff all around.

    I think it's actually Lance Jade that attacks Blade not Cade. Might be wrong on that part. Doug is getting more and more nuts and it's entertaining as hell.

    I wouldn't say this was fantastic but it was decent. Liked the Kobashi/Takayama and southern heel Omori parts the best.

    I can't wait for Liger/Breeze. Glad Breeze is on the show as he's been lost in the shuffle for a while. If we can get a Cheeseburger/Liger segment in ROH, I'm hoping HHH books Liger to do Enzo's spiel on NXT. That would make my year.

    You really can't get more exploitative than this. I think this was around the time Tammy and Chris were headed out of ECW after getting fired. Tammy just looked worn out from the hard life. She started looking better towards the beginning of the 2010s but soon went off the wagon again. Really sad whats happened to her. How did Heyman get the rights to air the WWF/SMW footage? Vince?

    I can see why they got themselves in trouble. I'm stunned this was allowed on network TV.. Lawler was hilarious during all this though.

    Implied incest on WWF tv. What a time to be alive. Mark Henry had a rough 1999 that's for sure.

    You can tell this hurt Vince alot. Even called him Gino. Not as sad as Heenan's tribute on Nitro though.

    Lots of weird things happen in this match. Curtis Hughes interferes very liberally but everytime seems to miss his cue. Even during the beginning when he's kicking Rock, he's waiting for Jericho to run in. Then mid way through the match, the lights go out. I'm guessing the power really went out and it wasn't an angle? Reminds me of the Raw from the mid 2000s when they had to have a couple matches in the dark cause the power went out. After the match, Vince runs in and throws Bulldog back into the ring for Rock. Interesting match and you can see why Jericho had problems. He was way over his head here.

    I had no idea Curtis Hughes lasted longer than a week as Jericho's bodyguard. Mankind just hugging the fan that ran in out of the ring was nice. Ok segment but way too long even though Rock was insanely over. After the segment, the Dudleys attack Mankind and the dude. I had no idea they feuded either.

    Kinda ironic that Droz's last tv appearance before his injury was him puking. Oh man I remember G vs E. The Tech wars of the late 90's.
