  1. It could be good if they booked it as the undeserving heels who keep failing upward and/or cheat to win.
  2. To be fair, he's trying to restart the Hunterverse here
  3. So do you think they'll announce Sasha and Naomi for the women's tag title tournament, or have them come out at the Castle show to challenge the winners? Dave was talking about it, and I think it comes down to what's more important to Paul. If he feels important to send the message that Vince's reign of terror is over, you should have them open Raw tonight. Those two were the embodiment of a whole company's worth of frustrations with Vince and that would be H's ultimate "drop your dick on the table and mark your territory" move. Conversely, having them return in front of a legit 70,000 people losing their shit would be pretty damn good for business. It would set them up as top stars who are a really big deal, and the story books itself. You don't have to do anything but stand there and it's 100% clear what everyone's motivations are. Not only would it be cathartic for everyone involved, you could have an actual money angle on your hands with a minimal amount of effort. Weirdly enough I could see points for either way. I can't say Paul would be wrong choosing option 1, as building confidence with the roster is an essential part of not only righting the ship now, but to mend any ill will when it comes to chasing folks from AEW. If they can clear all doubts that it's a new day in WWE (yes it is!), it'd probably be a better thing for them business wise in the long term.
  4. Funny how Vince getting booted will almost certainly cause WWE to put out a better product can (and probably will when AEW signs their new TV deal) gets us back to having two national companies both putting out their best possible efforts to outdo each other. You wanna know why both Raw and Nitro were getting millions of people watching every week? That was it right there. Yeah, TV habits certainly changed but that's why it wasn't fair to compare that to the people watching now when you have an upstart company getting itself established as a legit competitor and building name recognition vs the de facto wrestling company that has been in a creative rut for 2 decades.
  5. Wow, Okada putting over Jonah like Inoki put over Vader. The crowd forgetting the no cheering rules and going nuts when they started realizing this might actually be happening was a legit star making moment.
  6. Not really much to add other than when it comes to getting to the heart of the matter, no one comes close to Australians
  7. Carlos Colon was still actively getting involved in angles up until very recently (I got out of the habit of watching WWC regularly when the hurricanes basically shut them down for a long time), and as bad as he looked doing it he might as well be Bryan Danielson when compared to Flair.
  8. Jamie Hayter got her nose broken in the match it seems, no doubt by a stray sandbag
  9. Interesting "worlds colliding" moment for me right now: watching the local soccer boys Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC against the Indy Eleven, and the announcers used the mid game hydration break to discuss Pat McAfee beating Happy Corbin. The connection being Pat is apparently a Hounds fan and of course is a hero in Indy.
  10. Not that a hot woman would have had a hard time in 90s WWF, but Mero absolutely got Sable over as a sympathetic figure by being the overprotective asshole husband.
  11. The biggest problem with Kross is his whole deal is being a monster, and he's not going to look impressive physically in WWE. Dave pointed out that even Logan Paul is taller than Kross on WOR last night/this morning, so it's going to be tough for him. I 100% this is the message Hunter is trying to send to talent. Between this and bringing Dakota Kai and Io (excuse me, IYO) to the main roster, he seems to be wanting to show folks he's going to try to give a shot to people who got screwed by the prior regime.
  12. They did, but man would I "that doesn't work for me brother" any spot that resulted in me being smushed by Keith Lee
  13. If Kross and Scarlett get the entrance deal they had in NXT, they'll be fine on the main roster. That act was so tailor made for WWE proper which made it all the more puzzling that they repackaged him as a member of Demolition. Dude got a raw deal (no pun intended) so I don't mind the guy getting a do-over to prove himself. If he can't, I can live with him being the price needed to pay so we could finally change the fossilized booking.
  14. Jade vs Madison should bang, can't wait to see Jade against someone with experience
  15. Man, QT without a beard looks like a discount Alex Jones.
  16. Mox vs Mancer is a hoot and a half.
  17. Hunter turning the main roster into Black and Gold era NXT will be quite the fitting result of his redemption arc.
  18. Daddy Paul gonna take us to a new boom period bubbas.
  19. SCARLETT IS BACK MOTHERFUCKERS! (also Kross)
  20. In a business that is famous for exaggerating weights, a combined 590 for the Viking Raiders seems a bit low. Also lol at the jobbers named Gibson and Mulkey.
  21. Gauntlet was fine, but it was kinda hurt by none of the women having done anything meaningful in months.
  22. lol Liv being the guinea pig for WWE folks being able to drop S bombs like they do on Dynamite.
  23. Samantha Irvin really puts some stank on the GUUUUUUNTAAAA, I like it.
  24. Pat is the greatest
