To be fair, the Jarrett/Effy match seemed to be setting up a longer program. However, considering he's done this to AAA numerous times now (including the first Triplemania XXX show in April where they teased a Jarrett/Rey Escorpion vs Latin Lover/Vampiro feud) they should have suspected something like this could happen.

Reading the Observer, Two Dimes got fired for failing a drug test. Does the Wellness Policy not apply to NXT folks anymore? I could have sworn I saw people in the Black and Gold Era getting strikes, even the ones that weren't ever publicly mentioned. At any rate, this makes the story even weirder. Serious enough to get fired but not serious enough that they said he could come back in a year if he stays clean.

Edris Enofe has quickly risen in the ranks of "people becoming awesome in NXT"

You'd think, but Roman/Riddle was the real mover. Also just getting to watch NXT after spending the day in NYC, and it's amazing how their women's division runs circles around the main roster. They have women's tag champs who are part of a featured act! And they have challengers!

In before Zeke and Elias's youngest bro Elrod is deep into Scientology

It never fails to crack me up when Becky keeps dressing like a lost third member of Daft Punk even while having an emotional breakdown.

Surprised Vince's quads didn't explode all over the first three rows when he did that little jump off the ring.
-
oh no, Vince is here

Welp..... going from Rhea to Carmella is pretty much the biggest downgrade possible.
-
WWE seems to be snakebit right now when it comes to potentially cool matches getting derailed. Bianca vs Rhea would have been something to see, but alas..

Funny thing is Dave was by far the more famous Hebner for a while since he was the ref in most of the big matches of the 80s in WWF, but once Montreal happened all anyone remembered was Earl.

Tim White was one of those who seemed to be loved by everyone, several wrestlers currently in WWE have mentioned how he was the one who would be the wrangler when people had to do conventions and appearances and formed a bond with everyone he worked with. Of course WWE being WWE, they had him do things like the "Lunchtime Suicide" skits, but what can you do.

It seems from every report I've seen so far, Vince is in full swinging dick alpha mode over this. History has shown when he gets like this we're about to see some completely bonkers shit soon.
-
It looks like Orton was the planned match for Summerslam, and when it became clear he wasn't going to be able to make it that's when they made the Brock call.
-
lololol at Vince pushing the "In case of emergency, pay Brock" button

It would be a Very WWE Thing to have a popular babyface win the world titles on free network TV to give everyone a feelgood moment to get people to forget about *gestures wildly* It's also a Very WWE Thing the person in that position is Matt "Lost My First Name Due to What Comes Up on Google Searches" Riddle.
-
It's largely due in part to Roman being the only person booked as a threat on the whole roster, but I love how his whole entrance is 100% "you about to get your ass kicked by the final boss" energy.

Both her and Charlotte look like entirely different people than they did several years ago. It's not considered proper to comment on anyone's possible plastic surgery, but in some case it's obvious. TBF I think Nattie still looks pretty good, any work she had was done well, but looking at older photos kind of answer the questions.

If/when Orton comes back, it's going to be a "Cena returning at the Rumble" moment..

Man, it really sucks that the moment Randy started having fun and giving a shit on a regular basis, his body gave out.

I wonder how Vince's voice got so scratchy all of a sudden, we all know he's famously anti smoking. Is that a side effect of 50 years of living on a diet solely of steroids and cocaine I've never heard of?
-
That was surreal, felt like Vince was on the verge of announcing he was stepping down or something serious and was just like "WELCOME TO SMACKOWN!"
-
That was dumb, but in context of the match it wasn't as bad as people tried to make it out to be IMO. She's gotten herself over pretty well and seems like a nice enough person (and as stated has been front and center promoting LGBTQ issues in wrestling) people seem to give her a pass for not really being all that great in ring.

That's what any normal (for a billionaire CEO) would do, but.........

I admit i dont follow GCW super closely, but I thought that the Hammerstein was an anomaly due to them not wanting to upset PPV providers by doing any of their usual mega violent gimmicks.
