It's quite the irony that by the time he was finally getting the chance to have good matches with better opponents, Taker was already breaking down physically (Dave famously mentioning he had people telling him in 97-98 that they didn't think Taker would last another year).
Randy Orton going on Pat McAfee's show and dumping all over NXT for not teaching people how to protect their opponents was not something I expected to happen. I mean he's not wrong, but it was hilarious to hear him talk about how instead of selling he has to keep his guard up because "I don't wan my fuckin jaw broken".
This kinda makes me want to see Darby in an AAA clusterfuck match just to see how insane it would end up, but also kinda not since someone would probably die.
Honestly, that was a legit answer, wasn't trying to be a smartass or anything
AAA doesn't put that much emphasis on titles, but FTR is set to defend them at the next big AAA show.
To be fair, you could ask that about pretty much any champion in AAA. The only one that seems to happen on any sort of regular basis is the trios titles.
I have a feeling that Lethal is going to (at least at the start) be the link between old ROH and new ROH so that is probably why he's been booked that way.
Yeah my first thought was the amount of bad faith takes who think AEW not renewing guys is the exact same thing as firing people will be absolutely exhausting.
The Angle deal did end up providing one of the best "sit the fuck down" moments that I can recall, when Gerald Brisco asked Hunter who'd he think would win a shoot (in response to the idea Kurt was too small to believably beat him).
