Yeah like someone said earlier, that's how it always seems to work in wrestling. People fear the crazy dives and whatnot and most injuries end up being freak accidents
When Danielson was making jokes about Garcia being his son (because that's the Bella's shoot name) I thought for sure he was planting the seeds for something like this.
That match was better than I expected tbh, and the right person went over. She's green but she's a star in the making so give her the Lex Luger Florida Push.
The worst part about it is that Jericho didn't even need to be there, just send out 2.0 to be annoying until Eddie comes out to beat their asses. Jericho's bit seemed shoehorned in a way I don't ever think I recall seeing them do before.
Honestly, Punk seems like a guy who would be down for whatever as long as it did business, but I dunno if Colt would be or not. He doesn't deserve to catch strays in the interest of getting heat.
The judges were obviously going to be a red herring since they didn't even bother to announce them until right before the match started, yet the internet will be mad because they won't get the Terry Funk scenarios everyone fantasy booked in their minds.
Not to mention if they fire Shawn Hickenbottom: NXT Producer from his deal, WWE Legend Shawn Michaels is gonna want a Taker sized legends deal to stay put.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they are keeping Shawn around (who would be the most obvious guy to cut if you want to remove all traces of HHH) just because Vince is afraid he would show up in AEW.
That might sound crazy but remember Shawn spent the whole Attitude Era threatening to quit and go to WCW to make sure he got his way so that's probably where Vince's brain is at.
I would be down for a weekly "Bryan Danielson wrestles someone released by NXT for no reason" challenge. Even the writers/creative people, since you know even those would be good.
Part of me really wants AEW to continue with their "what if WCW wasn't run into the ground by idiots" vibe and give us Lord Steven Regal one more time.
Rush's brothers have been working in AAA so there's an in to AEW there, I would love to see the whole Familia show up (ok maybe not Bestia but if he's the tax you pay to get the other three it's worth it).
Yeah they've been doing skits with him. Funny thing, Fightful reported that the initial plan for the "shaman" of MSK was for it to be Jeff Hardy until, well... you know.
