  1. Man the crowd REALLY wanted Wardlow to splatter MJF there, that was an awesome tease.
  2. lol at Cody getting triggered by the dude setting himself on fire on the Go Big Show
  3. BAH GAWD BRITT BAKER HAS JOINED THE UNDISPUTED ERA
  4. MJF gets Wardlow disqualified to play off MJF "losing" to Shawn Dean the same way thanks to Punk? I think somehow he's gonna mess it up for Wardlow and that's going to fuel the split.
  5. WWE gets criticism because instead of having the soon to be champ lose to a few key people, they tend to job them to everyone so the new champ looks like a geek right out of the box. Then once they are champs, they beat them constantly in non title matches and then seem surprised when no one gives a shit about titles. (obviously this doesn't apply to made guys like Roman)
  6. Corey was an indy wrestler of some repute around here in his pre NXT days, he never really got to show much once he got there though.
  7. I'm fairly certain the next thing for Wardlow when he turns (after murdering Spears with a million powerbombs) is beating MJF. Just seems like the best way to cement Wardlow as an important guy and give MJF a challenger if/when he gets a run.
  8. Something I realized is that one thing that hurts this version of NXT is because of how sudden the switchover came, everything seems so forced. I know you guys all love ol' Tony Baggadonuts but he has no business beating Pete Dunne. Just seemed like a fait accompli he was winning because Pete's a holdover from the old guard and didn't sell me on Tony being the better guy.
  9. Rey would probably be shorter than the average height where I grew up, but he looks like a child on WWE TV.
  10. TBH I think Trick will end up being the bigger star in WWE. He still needs more time in the oven for sure but he checks all the boxes WWE goes for (ie: he's taller) and is charismatic as hell. Carmelo seems like a guy who WWE will not see the upside in, and he ends up being the fucking STAR he can be somewhere else.
  11. Reminds me of Su Yung/Susie in terms of "how can those two gimmicks be the same person"
  12. I don't believe so, but that doesn't make what WWE (allegedly) did any less illegal because it didn't work. Plus it still creates the impression to Vice that continuing to work with MLW will be a headache-by proxy if that's what they have to put up with which is bullshit. It's just WWE clumsily trying to do old school carny ass nonsense and the only reason they haven't been bopped for it is most of the companies they do it to are to afraid/can't file a lawsuit.
  13. Also its alleged that WWE pressured Fox to cancel the deal that was made for MLW to stream on Tubi (which is owned by Fox) the day before it was scheduled to be announced. You would think if MLW has any semblance of proof here they'd have WWE dead to rights, but we all know Jerry Mac works best when it seems his client's a goner.
  14. From what's claimed in the lawsuit, a (now former) WWE Executive went to one of the higher ups at Vice and told them Vince McMahon would be pissed if they kept airing MLW programming, and the Vice exec's reply was "why should I care if Vince McMahon gets pissed and also that's pretty illegal what you just did". This is not the first time WWE/Vince has been accused of doing this, just the first time the company that was targeted by it actually did something about it. Makes me wonder how much of the uphill battle other companies have to get TV clearance comes down to "the bosses at the station don't want to field psycho calls from WWE if we carry some other wrestling TV program".
  15. I guess wrestling twitter owes Court an apology, everyone dunked on him for promising stuff that never pans out and now it looks like at least on two major occasions it was because WWE actively fucked with it.
  16. MLW just filed suit against WWE for among other things, trying to get Vice to stop airing MLW programming. Apparently they've been messing with MLW's plans on several fronts including a streaming deal that supposedly was going to be "transformative" for them had it gone down.
  17. NFTs are demonstrably worse, since it's the most obvious scam since the MLMs your former high school classmates push on Facebook. 90% of the people pushing them don't even understand what they are (you're literally just buying a receipt saying you spent money on something and nothing else) and the ones who do are just trying to get their cut before the masses get fleeced.
  18. I will say at least the idea of "Commander Azeez" as a gimmick makes me realize I miss when managers would suddenly become military officers like General Skandor Akbar.
  19. I also don't want to see anyone lose their jobs or anything, but I have no idea why Commander Azeez still exists. It's not even the usual "well duh, he's tall" when OMOS is on the same show as him
  20. On one hand, this split personality gimmick for Damien Priest is kinda dumb.....yet anything is better than that Archer of Infamy nonsense and that silly entrance he had to do for it.
  21. Missed opportunity there in Philly to not have Damien Priest be the dude with the deep voice from Boyz II Men
  22. I love how MOMENTUM is somehow both the most powerful force in WWE and at the same time it doesn't mean jack shit.
  23. This version of Brock is so great
  24. After spending all this time in a place that pretty much let him do whatever, I wonder if he even wants to go back to WWE and their weird obsessive quirks. You have to think Vince is just itching to sign someone who is a star in AEW just to show they can't hang with the "real" stars of WWE like he did with all the former WCW guys
  25. ....and if we're being really fair, he keeps getting these comments because Cornette constantly implies he had a sexual relationship with Riho and therefore he's a pedo. Now any time Kenny mentions her he gets tons of Corny creeps in his mentions making the same implications.
