  1. Shawn's doing the administrative work and carrying out the creative, but I thought the actual planning/direction was being handled by Vince and/or his minions in the 2.0 era.
  2. They keep dropping the "genetic freak" for Bron to the point where if this was any other company that didn't have weird hang ups, I'd think Scotty was gonna show up.
  3. Bubba, that wasn't just any gladiator, that was KRATOS
  4. I mean come on, Vince is running this show. Of course the over babyface everyone wants to win the title does the job!
  5. I love that they clearly lean into his family history, have him basically be a modern day version of his dad, and yet any actual mention of that family is forbidden on WWE TV.
  6. LOL, my man was spittin' that hot fire like he was the king shit and tweeted himself out of a job.
  7. Pairing her up with Io made sense on paper, pair her up with someone talented to be an in ring coach, but man has it just exposed her as a charisma vacuum by comparison.
  8. Bron Breakker getting the belt seems like such a forgone conclusion, but it seems super early to do it now.
  9. They event wanted to split up AJ and Omos but that was the only one that was able to be lobbied against. I can't even imagine how badly Omos would struggle on his own at this point, why would they even consider doing that?
  10. It worked for me because it was Mox doing it. Anyone else and I'd agree with you 100% but he's the guy who just wants to provide for his family and this is how he does it. It was kind of weird when he dropped the "I don't care about the title" line since AEW is so protective of their titles. so that was a bit of a "wait, what?" moment.
  11. I guess he flew out and back just to do that promo so there's a pretty decent chance those were his actual feelings at the moment.
  12. Apparently a lot of the teams split up in the draft didn't even find out about it until they saw it on social media. Another sign of a completely normal company that is a cool place to work for.
  13. With AEW proving non WWE wrestling can be viable, this is probably the best time for Impact to land an actual decent US TV deal for the first time since the Spike days.
  14. He looks like a guy who's completely run out of fucks to give. You want me to take a crazy ladder bump on a Raw everyone will forget ever existed the second it ends? Sure boss, whatever you want!
  15. KO's just trying to get the rest of his contract to end as fast as possible.
  16. I hope someone has an intervention for Graves to let him know the molester 'stache isn't working for him.
  17. Yes, he was a huge fan and they even did the bit where he passed the Shotei on to him.
  18. The Moose stuff is what it is, but the team fka as the IIconics winning the titles on their first night in is some classic TNA "former midrange WWE talent gets positioned ahead of everyone in the company" move. AEW has shown the way to take those folks and rehab them in a way it doesn't come off as looking like also rans in WWE can walk in and beat your existing folks.
  19. I distinctly remember when Rob Black was threatening to kill a dog live on the internet, and at first everyone was like "yeah ok whatever dude" until it looked like he was actually going to do it and there was a mad scramble among the community of the time to find out where he was and contact authorities. IIRC cops were able to locate him and his response was basically "it's just a prank, bro" before that was a meme.
  20. Funny, after learning about the history of all this I went to NJPW World and watched some matches there of WWF guys in Japan from like 83-85 and stumbled upon an Inoki/Sakaguchi vs The Machines match. It was hilarious to me how the announcers were like "Yeah that's Andre and the Masked Superstar there" when the whole angle in the WWF was supposed to be all wink-and-nod "who could this giant in a mask who's built and moves exactly like Andre be". I remember there being a WWF Machines match where either Gorilla or Bruno supposed it could be Giant Baba under the mask so maybe this was New Japan giving them a receipt.
  21. Bryan vs Dustin is a match I would have assumed would have already taken place by now but somehow tonight was the first time. That kind of blew my mind.
  22. Apparently this all started with Becky calling her "plastic" in a promo a few weeks back and Charlotte went all Michael Jordan over it (as in "....and I took that personally")
  23. Who's enjoying life more at this point, Bryan or Mox?
  24. I know how everyone here just loves themselves some Good Brothers, but it looks like the AEW/Impact agreement is up after Bound For Glory.
  25. Pre 1985 WONs were an interesting process in Dave finding what style and frequency of publishing worked for him. Also apparently he's kind of sensitive about those years since that was one of the reasons Todd Martin fell out with the crew over there. Him and Alvarez were doing a bit where Todd would revisit 80s Observers and (allegedly) Dave put the kibosh on that.
