They should do a segment where Bianca and Cesaro just try to outdo each other doing crazy feats of strength in the ring.
-
Also Becky coming out looking like Mr. Wrestling II wearing one of Demolition's ring jacket is certainly a choice.
-
They should probably give Becky new music that doesn't encourage crow participation if they want this heel turn to stick.

So far the dude sitting by the ramp with signs about video games has been the star of the show.

Kayla vs Paul legit is the most entertaining feud in WWE right now.
-
Great job by the crack WWE production team getting a nice clear shot of the tablet Alexa had in her mouth to do the foaming gimmick.
-
LOL at the "thank you Lilly" chant

It really is amazing in the crushing sameness that is WWE, that the New Day has been able to stay relevant and entertaining all these years.

This show is giving strong "probably technically fine but won't mean a thing" vibes. Like most of the matches have a forgone conclusion and the ones that could possibly go either way could do so because it doesn't really matter who wins.

I'm not particularly married to either side (I think Kenny and the Bucks are great in ring, but I also can see how their antics rub people the wrong way), but I wonder if sometimes we sound like the grizzled vets who complain the young guys are exposing the business and don't know how to work. I tend to agree with Dave when he says that if something draws, even if you personally don't like it, then it works. If you complain about something that works, it makes you look out of touch. I also think a lot of it comes down to everyone, smart fans and casuals alike, having to get used to there being a different style of wrestling in a major US promotion for the first time in decades. We've all been accustomed to things being Done A Certain Way for so long, seeing someone do things differently appear alien even if they are succeeding because there's always that hind part of your brain that is like "that can't be possible, they didn't do it this way".

CMLL is being CMLL and making it next to impossible to view their shows from outside Mexico. I'd keep an eye on cubsfan's YouTube since it might show up there at some point.

Saw it pointed out on Twitter that people in WWE that "come up with their own ideas" do so with the intent of getting noticed by the audience of one, and those are very different ideas than they would come up with if they were doing so for a pro wrestling oriented audience. (also it's sad to see these folks making obvious pre-emptive "please don't get mad at the company for this gimmick I'm doing" tweets)

lol Paul had to get out an EXTREEEEEEEEEME in Philly

A holder of the women's tag titles winning a match is upset of the year material.

I love that becoming wealthy has turned Corbin into a fedora enthusiast.

Granted, it's probably not that difficult to make tiny Zelina fly, but Liv fuckin LAUNCHED her with that corner dropkick, jesus.
-
Man it's really hard for Seth to pull off the "I will beat you in your house in front of your wife" promo when you know Beth Phoenix would wipe the floor with his bony ass.

Christian is one of those sneaky tall people you don't think is that tall. Cole is kind of the opposite, you know he's small but you see him with average (by wrestling standards) sized people and he's basically a dwarf.

Holy shit I never realized how much I want to see that team until right now.
-
I mean, WWE probably has ownership of that as part of buying WCW, right? It won't even cost you a damn penny Vince!

Behold the power of BOOGZ! I'm only half joking too, it seems Nak has really stepped it up since being paired with him and doing the whole King gimmick,

Justin Roberts doesn't bother me, he sometimes does what I guess is the ring announcer equivalent of "getting your shit in" but it's never been enough to actively distract me. Then again everyone pales in comparison to the Fink to me, dude was like a reverse Mike Tyson with the booming voice coming from that body. I know a lot of it is just natural talent, but it seems like no one really teaches ring announcers how to project like he did.
-
He doesn't give star ratings for MMA, no.
-
Yeah, like I can almost see "Curtis Axel" because he really didn't look or wrestle like his dad, but BRON BREKKER's whole deal seems to be designed to put it front and center who he's related to. Having him out there like a wellness-approved Rick Steiner while forbidding the announcers from saying it is just bonkers.

Dave went hard into MMA in the 00s, partly because UFC blew up big and partly because wrestling was kind of in the doldrums at the same time. There probably were way more five star indy matches at that time (in fact I'd be certain of that) but even today if it doesn't happen in PWG he doesn't tend to notice it.
