Omega's matches everywhere he goes have been nothing short of spectacular so I don't really mind the wacky stuff.
-
If Bryan had any doubts he made the right choice, those should be squashed now. Never heard an opening bell get a pop like that.
-
Not fucking around, starting off with Danielson/Omega.

One thing that is getting tiresome already is how everyone has to mention NXT TWO POINT OH like 10 times a promo now. It's just so WWE to make branding your top priority but do it in such an obvious, non-natural, "how do you do fellow kids?" way.

It's like the Matrix glitched and somehow we got a second Scott Steiner in our timeline. I'm 100% on the BRON TRAIN.
-
Someone posted a pic taken by someone in the crowd that showed Bron was wearing what looked like his dad's "BITE ME" boots.

*has no idea what Fort Boyard is* *looks it up* Ya'll French are crazy

Also Dave really needs to stop blindly trusting these reports he gets from the arenas, this may be the most egregious example but it's hardly the first time.
-
In other news, SRS is reporting NXT 2.0 is gonna get more "edgy" in terms of aggression and language, and also in terms of the costuming of the women all per Vince's directive. ATTITUDE ERA IS BACK, BABY!
-
If the report was wrong then it was wrong, but the idea fucking DAVE MELTZER needs to get clout off of a shitty women's segment on RAW has me rolling.

I would submit to @cm funk that folks have been treating you the way they have because you have been very dismissive of folks saying they were victims of sexual assault. You seem to think it's ludicrous that Flair would force an unwilling participant to touch his junk when the man's own book has stories of him tapping women on the head with it.

Let's not forget the stories of Shawn banging Tammy Sytch while her and Candido were working things out, and making sure he rubbed Chris' nose in it. Also allegedly copious amounts of nose candy were involved as well. He then tossed her aside when he was done with her like a sack of garbage, which I'm sure did wonders for her considering how she turned out. Also that was the reason Bret got so upset at the "Sunny Days" comment. Not only was it an attempt at fucking up his personal life, he was accusing Bret of doing what he did IRL.

That's why the squashing was so bad. There was no reason to Bob Backlund the guy. If you want to belt Brock, that's fine, but there was zero need to geek Kofi out on the way. Plus there's always DISCOURSE on WWE wanting to break up the New Day since that's what WWE always does. Tag teams exist in the WWE Universe to either turn on each other or one guy gets Marty Jannetty'd into obscurity. Sometimes both!. The New Day escaping that fate is probably the most underrated aspect of their legacy.

Not really, the Lions are usually a .500 or below team. Aaron Rodgers completely shit the bed last week so there could be interest in if it was just a bad week or a sign he's washed.

KawadaSmile is about to ascend into nirvana with the main event kicking off.

CHARLY is over apparently.

lol the Ric Flair CarShield commercial just aired, right when Wrestling Twitter is abuzz over Ric's decision to tweet through his latest scandal.
-
The best part of the BIG MEATY MEN promo is how everyone around him is absolutely losing their shit and E just keeps on trucking. Like he needs the world to know he wants to see these men slapping meat and goddamnit nothing is going to stop him.

Bruce as Lumberg got a legit lol out of me.

Especially since WWE has spent decades low key smearing Martha Hart by making her out as this evil witch who hates wrestling and is trying to keep his fans from celebrating his legacy because she kept telling them to fuck off. She never wanted to deny the fans their chance to celebrate Owen, she just didn't want the company responsible for his death to be able to babyface themselves over it. Now she gets to be able to honor Owen's legacy, get eyes on her charity, and make sure the company that killed him can't use it for their bullshit PR purposes. Martha's awesome.

Looking forward to Hunter ending up in an Office Space scenario where he has to explain what it is he actually does for the company now that NXT is seemingly out of his control and Johnny Ace seems to be the Talent Relations guy.

Someone dismissing abusive behavior and questioning the motives of the abused party speaking out is just as much of a shitbag as the abuser IMO because their behavior emboldens abusers to keep doing what they do. I won't feel any sorrow about Tommy getting dragged for putting his entire ass on display.
-
Honestly, people bringing up Brock are just engaging in whataboutism and it's annoying. Of course showing your peen to co workers is not acceptable but that doesn't invalidate holding other sexual abusers to task. You can be mad at one abuser without having to be expected to be equally mad at every abuser that ever existed. It's exhausting and comes off as a way of getting people to stop talking entirely.

Right, but the way he said it clearly communicated he didn't think what happened was that big of a deal, and by extension calling her character into question at the same time. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he realized he fucked up now, but don't give me this "I never intended to..." bullshit when in the moment you 100% intended to do the thing you're releasing a solemn JPEG apology about. To be fair, this is rubbing me the wrong way partly because as a video game fan it's becoming commonplace for game companies to do these solemn JPEG apologies when they get caught acting poorly and it never comes off as sincere. It just comes off more as "I'm sorry I upset people to the point it affected my livelihood, and I would really like it for that to not be the case so I will release a statement saying I never intended to say or do the things I clearly was intending at the time". If that's enough to satisfy you, that's fine. Perhaps my cynical bastard-ness has gone terminal and there's no hope for me. I've just seen this movie too many times to just accept on face value.
-
I mean, Im sure he's sorry he said it since it presumably hit his wallet getting suspended, however... "It was never my intention to offend, hurt, or victim shame" Well then what was your intention then Thomas, when you said shit like "if it was really that bad she shouldn't have taken the settlement and Ric would be in jail"? You can't say you don't condone sexual misconduct when you were just shown on nation wide TV doing exactly that. Like, I suppose him realizing he said fucked up things and showing some kind of remorse is a good thing, better than we get in most of these situations. His wording is just so gaslight-y though, as if he thinks we'll believe he didn't do or say the things we saw him do if he just says he would never do that.
