Is it me or did it seem like Nattie came back awful fast from rolling her ankle so bad it needed surgery? LIke it seems like she was only out a couple weeks and was back in the ring.

I'm sure old NXT wasn't all roses either, but if you were a talented wrestler who didn't have the tools necessary to be included in Vince's spank bank, it was the best place you could hope to be .

Having been in the crowd twice now, it's an amazing experience live. As great as it is to watch on TV, being in the building when Britt makes her entrance in Pittsburgh and being able to *feel* the Road Warrior pop as well as being able to hear it was an unforgettable moment. Plus it's such a different vibe before and after the show. Even the fans seem happier to be there and leaving the show with a "fuck yeah that was awesome" feeling instead of "oh my god, that show lasted forever I just want to go home and go to sleep".

They'll probably keep Kairi on that neverending "we're adding time on your deal because you were injured" contract. IIRC she never officially left the company, she just moved into an "ambassador" type role so they could keep her quiet about getting concussed (then slapped around) on their TV.
-
I get the vibe that Asuka is getting to the "fuck it, I don't care anymore" stage of her WWE career. I can easily see her being the next "we forgot when her contract expired and now she's on Dynamite" contestant.
-
I could see them wanting to bring in Bryan since he would certainly be a draw for the tourist audience they go for. Especially if Casas pushed for it since he's someone politically connected enough that they would at least hear him out if he asked.
-
I'm sure morale is at an all time high, what with half the roster openly living vicariously through their friends and SO's working for the other company and their only safe space from Vince's bullshit being shut down.

There really isn't a more damning indictment of WWE than Ruby's post show presser where she s clearly enjoying being in a place where everyone around her is happy to be there. It's been pointed out how AEW's been able to attract all these free agents not by going the WCW route of outspending Vince, but by being a not insane place to work where everyone's not walking on eggshells 24/7.

I love that Suzuki is such a fan of Ayumi Nakamura that he's in the video for the song too.
-
Which is why the segment was so great. All you needed to know is that Murder Grandpa has arrived to fuck shit up. Wrestling doesn't need to be complex.
-
Of all the things that happened last night, seeing a 10,000 people singing along to Suzuki's theme on a US PPV was the most mind blowing. That's the moment the show went from "this is a good show" to "oh fuck, this might be an all timer" to me. The best part was even if you didn't know a thing about Suzuki, you saw everything you needed to know: here comes a guy with badass theme music and swag for days who really enjoys murdering people. As the Baron would say, that's all the people need to know.

It would be funny if AEW made it canon that Bryan, Punk, and Cole all disappeared from wrestling after they left ROH and are returning to pro wrestling after "X amount of years since they left ROH". Like when comic book writers retcon the dumb shit the previous writer did.

Love how Bryan in the post show presser is putting over how great he got along with Vince while also saying how he doesn't feel soul crushing despair and loves wrestling again is hilarious. Dude is trying so hard to be diplomatic but my man just is incapable of not speaking the truth.
-
Bryan is just so lovable, like a cute forest creature who can also kick your head off your goddamn shoulders. Also isn't it just so refreshing to watch a wrestling show where everyone is so happy to be doing what they are doing instead of looking like they are mentally checked out or being held at gunpoint?
-
Put Bryan on Dynamite and have him do that exact same promo and watch the ratings pour in.
-
I would say Ced just set himself up for a humiliation angle, but since it's Vince he'll probably end up having Xavier Woods do it.
-
I've also legit been seeing several people on my Twitter TL who just either outed themselves as wrestling fans or were just discovering it being all "YO THIS AEW SHIT IS AMAZING".
-
This was such an amazing show, and not just for the matches. This came off as them pushing in their chips and dropping the mic on WWE. Them saying they not only got the guy you knew was coming but they snatched your chain and debuted the guy who main evented for you just like a week ago.
-
Yes, the crowd gives me such "ECW at it's most fervent" feels and not just because of the AC DUB chants. They seem invested in their guys and everyone just feels something big is gonna happen.

Just two shooters enjoying their mutual GOAT status

More like Tony out here tryin to make his company feel like WCW when it was the cool place to be
-
THIS HAS SUCH A TUNE IN TO NITRO TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS FEEL AND I LOVE IT!!!
-
HAHAHA FUCK YEAH TONY TROLL THOSE MOTHERFUCKERS, RIDE THOSE VALKYRIES
-
I had a feeling they were going to do this when Alvarez tweeted about paying attention to Britt doing the Panama Sunrise because AEW doesn't do stuff like that for no reason.
