Finish didn't go as smooth as they hoped but that was a really good match. Britt's going to end up being one of those cases where getting injured was a blessing since it led to her being able to really nail her character.

That was a neat little battle royal to kick things off. Yes! That would be awesome..... "I got you crazy kids a present" "uhh.......we're good Jake"

This. I'm still amazed we saw someone relevant on main roster WWE. -
Yeah this wedding needs to end with Miro killing Kip.

I've seen it mentioned that perhaps a lot of the feelings about Bad Bunny come from him being a primarily non English star and that causes a lot of English speakers to think he's no one special. Like, "he's not marketed to ME so he can't be a superstar". Kind of reminds me of the people who argue with Dave on Twitter over people like Santo being a bigger star culturally than Hulk Hogan. FWIW I'm officially an Old Man too and I've never heard any of his music other than what's been done on WWE TV, but the guy's a star and a big deal in a demo they've long tried to reach out to. WWE has been amazingly lucky that he also appears to be a big wrestling fan as well and wants to do more things with them. -

Yeah it's just odd to me that after everything you list, they brought him back to push anyway, only for them to give up and totally forget about him. The mind boggles what could have happened for them to finally wash their hands of him after putting up with everything else. -

It's so weird to me that Lars not only got released, it happened last month and word just got out recently. He was such a perfect fit for what WWE likes, I'm shocked that they gave up on him so easily. -
Rock to me is in a class by himself when it comes to unselfish top guys. He would go out of his way to make sure anyone lower on the card with him that did a segment with him would get some kind of shine out of it. I think breaking in when he did and being in the middle of the Bret/Shawn drama made an impression on him to not be a jerk to those below you.

A lot of wrestling fans who love to rail on WWE/Vince for being in a bubble not aware of the outside world kinda got exposed by not knowing who a current popular artist is. Even if you don't follow his music (I don't), he's been in several commercials. In fact I even saw it mentioned how WWE got Bad Bunny, AEW got Snoop, and Corona Beer managed to do a commercial with both of them. -

The high point for me was Morrison working in the Dr. Wagner Jr "BIEN BIEN BIEN" during the segment with Bad Bunny. -
Overall I thought the show was good, if not a very accurate snapshot of WWE In 2021. The preshow match was more or less just angle advancement. They needed to get the titles off Asuka/Charlotte and at least Nia/Shayna is an established tag team. Drew/Goldberg was better than expected, which admittedly wasn't much. RIght guy went over but it did leave me with a feeling of "what was the point of all this?" Sasha earning her pay by continuing to make Carmella look good is always fun to see. Women's Rumble was great, and it was the first women's battle royal that actually seemed like they had enough people on the roster to not have to lean too heavy on stars from the past. I did pop for Bille and JIllie though. Roman/KO was great until the finish, but shit happens sometimes. Hopefully it will lead them to stop doing the handcuff trope which was getting a little overused. Men's Rumble was meh, but it was going to be that way no matter what. There is no hot act that can get the rocket strapped to them with a win, and I suppose at least with Edge there's the story of his return getting derailed by injury you can go with to have the feelgood Mania story. It really is amazing how a company that has spent so much time, money, and effort hoarding talent ended up with the oldest Rumble ever. If that isn't a damning rebuke of their system I don't know what is.

THEY SWERVED US ON THE SWERVE BRO!

I'd pay to see Cesaro and Bianca just doing freakishly impressive feats of strength.

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN

I guess that's why Becky posted a photo of the curtain backstage.

Also wasn't Christian on the "scrambled brains, do not touch" list?
-
I want him and Sonya to have a swag-off on Smackdown.
-
Also he posted pics of a Christmas or New Year's party with Marty Scurll in them, and when people were like "uhhh...bro...." he deleted them and reposted similar pics without Marty in them.

BIG BOB here to do business.
-
Also Ricochet keeps finding himself in the same room as pedos so I'm not too mad he got ousted by Mayor COVID.
-
Kane out there to throw out the trash and put over the new guy, I'm okay with that.
-
Everyone either has TRT exemptions or is using the stuff that doesn't pop on tests these days.
-
It's kind of crazy seeing a legit big star like Bad Bunny doing spots in WWE.
-
Seeing New Day in their Brodie gear after his wife told the story of Big E being one of the people she wanted to be there when she told their kids that dad wasn't going to make it made me a little misty.

Having Nattie win the match to get the 30 spot seems odd to me in the sense she's someone they normally like to get in early to be a player/coach and direct traffic. I'm thinking we have a big return like Becky or Ronda happening and they wanted someone they think of as a ring general in there at the end to make sure things go right.
