  1. A huge difference in ages, especially when the man is older, is a red flag for grooming behavior. Also the whole deal with the company just recently having an issue with at least two known cases of talent reaching out to teenagers online and do this kind of angle right now is extra gross because it comes off as the company endorsing those folks' behavior.
  2. Honestly I think at first she was just trying to help with the storyline since it's public knowledge she used to date Murphy and they seem to still be friends. Then she saw the reaction was less "boo this heel" and more "holy shit is WWE really pushing a storyline with a 19 year old and a 32 year old" and had to backtrack quickly. Plus it seems like "blame the fans" is a terminal condition for anyone who works for WWE.
  3. Changes afoot per the NJPW english site, Harold Meij is out as CEO to be replaced by NJPW America CEO Takami Ohbari.
  4. Reports at the time made it sound like it was 100% going to be a relationship angle, and all known info on Vince would suggest people's reaction to this is going to make him want to push it even more in that direction.
  5. Considering WWE's real life issues it's an even worse look to position the 19 year old as the instigator.
  6. Yeah they had NXT trainees and extras around the ring on Underground. They most likely all got quarantined at least.
  7. I'm sure he'd gladly do it but WWE doesn't want anyone over a certain age taking bumps after Lawler almost died on live TV.
  8. Man this story is like Shane fighting Test to defend the honor of Steph's hoo-ha or something.
  9. Not to mention if you want to avoid the creepy connotation of Murphy macking on a 19 year old, the last fucking person you want to put in this story is Jerry Lawler.
  10. Didn't they have to replace all the CFO$ themes? I would assume his old one was one of those.
  11. Randy saying he doesn't have to beg anyone and that he'll get another title match because he's Randy Orton was refreshing (if not unintentional) honesty in WWE booking at least.
  12. Man, I didn't see any bad acting in that whole segment. Roman was legit scary at times, especially when he was yelling at Lil Naitch to back off because he's handling family business. Jimmy coming out on his busted knee because his brother wouldn't give up despite getting mauled is classic pro wrestling emotional engagement. I can grant you that perhaps they drew it out too long, after all WWE is gonna WWE and they have proven they can't help themselves when it comes to sledgehammering the plot points over people's heads. It was still some of the best business they've done in a long long time though.
  13. I mean, the tribal chief stuff is part of their actual culture so calling it cringy comes off as not understanding it.
  14. Dave's update was Nikki/Shayna/Nia was more of a situation where they may have been exposed to someone with covid and being held out to be safe rather than being sick themselves. Also confirmed that Garza is believed to have a torn quad.
  15. Bryan mentioned on the post ppv Bryan and Vinny Show that the word backstage was Angel injured his quad.
  16. They mighta just fucked around and made Jey a big star with him going out on his shield (no pun intended).
  17. This is like current era version of Ric Flair vs Ricky Morton. Top star vs guy from one of the best tag teams.
  18. HBK getting his revenge for Orton exposing his bald spot on national TV.
  19. Think Garza blew out a knee there, he looked hurt tagging out. I guess the ref called an audible there.
  20. I love how Sami's new look is like if Jim Henson made a wrong turn in life and ended up living in the woods somewhere.
  21. Agreed. I thought he was a good wrestler but I just didn't see "top guy" material. I suppose it was a matter of finding the right gimmick to unlock his personality, or Gedo has a magic potion to give guys charisma. Either way, dude went from 0 to 100 seemingly overnight.
  22. It has been awesome but it was still pretty weaksauce for Roman to pull a Seth and blame the fans for not having patience with the company's shit booking. I know it's the company line but I expected better from the Large Canine.
  23. Waltman may have the record for most names based on a prior one: 1-2-3 Kid became Syxx, which evolved into Syxx-Pac, which became X-Pac when he came back to the WWF. It's like the Pokemon of rasslin' names.
  24. I will say T-BAR is killing it on Twitter, Jericho made a comment lol'ing at the group and he responded with a photo of all the news stories about the Fozzy concert becomng a covid spreading event.
