Yeah WWE socials were sharing their talking heads having an earnest discussion about someone losing their vision tonight, and I'm just like "fuck, this is actually happening, isn't it?'

Basically they did a storyline a while back where he inherited the mantle of hardcore from Dreamer, but ended up going crazy. They ended up doing a redemption arc but he still kept the gear he wore during them. It was a way to give him a new look/gimmick and they just kept it.

Which also means WWE gave them stupid money not to leave, then used said stupid money as reason to fire them during a pandemic.

So Maria tweeted a bunch of things WWE told her (and Mike presumably) and it was all similar to what the Good Brothers told them when they were being offered deals, things like "think about your family" etc. Really makes them somehow seem even more slimy when they say stuff like that to entice people to sign, yet cut basically everyone who tried to play hardball in negotiations.

Imagine wanting to keep that guy covered up in battle armor.

Eddie Edwards wins the title, gets beat up by Ace Austin and Madman Fulton afterwards leading to the Good Brothers making the save. Show ends with a shot of EC3 revealing himself as the guy with the drink glass.
