  1. I didn't hate it, but I was surprised to see people comparing it to the Dark Order when it was like the Straight Edge Society with Brandi and Kong as Punk and Gallows.
  2. I dunno, Kairi still looks like the little sister that mom made the big sister take along with her when she goes out. Io on the other hand is amazing in her role so props to them for figuring out that she's awesome and letting her be awesome.

    NWA Powerrr

I guess one good thing to come out of the whole mess was that it exposed how clown shoes the whole thing was run, so there's that.

    NWA Powerrr

I dunno, I was on the fence about giving up on the NWA but the Cornette tribute sealed the deal for me. Not so much for the tribute itself, but for how the company very clearly feels nothing wrong happened and only cut bait with him because he was getting too much negative pub for them. Then you had Marquez white knighting for him on Twitter (when your defense is "it's not racism, just a joke about starvation" you really should rethink saying anything) which just made it clear they are just like Corny's other cultists who will excuse anything that shits out of his mouth because they watched him om TBS as a kid. There's too much better wrestling out there to waste time on them to be honest.
  5. Good lord, Brandi.
  6. LOL at "Moxley" being the new "ARM-bar"
  7. Shanna makes the save (well tries to anyway), AEW is booking for PWO tonight!
  8. I guess Nyla just turned face for The Thread Killer after squashing the Librarians.
  9. Cody is like the perfect mix of Dusty and Flair. I could see babyface Ric do this promo in 1984 Mid Atlantic.
  10. It seems to be going up and down in terms of volume, but I'm streaming via my cable provider.
  11. Dustin in a Bucks outfit is somehow stranger looking than anything Goldust ever wore.
  12. Lawler's an interesting case. His work in Memphis was usually anywhere from good to outstanding depending on who he was facing, and you can't deny anyone who could draw the numbers he did in the same towns every week. My first experience of him was the title unification feud with Kerry Von Erich where he had to do pretty much all the work both on promos and in the ring, and as someone who grew up watching WCCW he did his job getting over with me as a villain. The problem is Commentator Jerry is only going to be what Vince wants him to be. He was 100% heel when he came in and was feuding with Jake and Bret. He was horny Uncle Jerry during the Attitude Era when it was all about bra and panty matches and Playboy shoots. Now Vince wants him to go heel again and that's what he's doing now being Seth's cheerleader on Raw. It's been the running joke that Lawler pays zero attention to anything WWE when he's not on the job, so he pretty much runs on a combination of his own quick wit and whatever's being fed through his headset.
  13. I guess it depends on what he wants at this stage in his career. Get more money to stay in a promotion going nowhere, or a lesser offer (that probably would still be pretty good) to get in on something that actually has a direction in mind.

    WWE Hidden Gems

I have a feeling you're both going to end up right. Most likely the $9.95 tier will focus on current shows, PPVs, and those "Network Special" shows like Starrcade, and whatever the higher priced tier ends up being will be that + old stuff.

I wonder how much of the "classic content will be reduced" is due to most of the territories they focused on being finished up recently. WCCW was said to be complete (as much as they could at least) and the last Mid-Atlantic dump was said to complete that category as well. Since they don't seem to have any interest in putting up the AWA or Florida stuff, I'd expect them to maybe fill out the Mid South/UWF stuff and that's it.

    WWE Hidden Gems

I suppose this is how WWE is planning to fix their problem of having an older audience, just get rid of anything that appeals to them. It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off.
  17. Lashley shoulder checked the cop on the way past, so there was cause for the cops to arrest him. Problem is none of the announcers mentioned it so it looked like the cops were doing some Southern justice (non Godwinns version).
  18. They definitely seem to have the same kind of issues re: women. The only difference is Heyman could actually book wrestling at one point.
  19. Saw it mentioned elsewhere that it's kind of fucked up when you stop to think that one of their main angles is "woman files restraining order against her soon to be ex husband, but she's the heel and he's the babyface" considering how often that happens IRL and results in violence against the woman. Like, yeah it's just wacky WWE nonsense, but that's the kind of stuff that probably drives away more people than you'd think since it hits home to a lot of people in ways people in charge of WWE would most likely never even think of.
  20. Very glad they didn't do the "singles wrestler beats the tag champs singlehandedly" trope, even if it was DA QUEEN out there.
  21. It's totally going to be the sheep mask in Rowan's cage isn't it?
  22. When they came back to commercial to show Eric Young I legit thought for a second Bob Holly was making a comeback.
  23. The phrase "you're just mad because I'm taller than you" would only exist in a Vince McMahon created world.
  24. Props to the WWE costuming department, I didn't think there would be enough double sided tape in the world to keep Lana inside that dress but they managed to do it.
  25. Joe, on the other hand had me rolling with his "this is just like Thanksgiving" while Kevin and Lana were bickering.
