WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
sek69 replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Like I know if I somehow made it to WWE I'd never last in that environment just because if I was in that meeting and had to listen to Seth say that, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from asking if that means he's going to stop crying like an embarrassing little bitch on social media too. -

Apparently the team meeting before RAW amounted to Seth telling folks to not put their gripes on social media and talent relations (wouldn't that be HHH?) sticking to the "mechanical issues" line. Imagine being one of those guys pissed off and stuck in KSA, then the company's reaction is to push the same story that doesn't hold water and having Mr. Crying Babyface Twitter Baby tell you to not say stuff on social media. -

To be fair Bret told anyone who said they were quitting to not do so. -

They want to be able to claim stuff like having the largest Rumble ever, so in order to do that you need to fly over a ton of jobbers. -

You would think a third generation wrestler who's decent in the ring would be a no brainer, but instead we got Michael McGullicutty and the B-Team. -

The issue is that Vince is an all time great bullshitter. Anyone going to him complaining will end up leaving the office convinced they'll main event the next 10 Wrestlemanias. -

No matter what the real story ends up being, it's clear folks are pissed that the top guys got to go home (the "Top 20" referenced) while the rest of the crew was left behind. Luke Harper made a similar "I'm not in the Top 20" post on Instagram. -

Being nice to the Saudis until they were sure everyone was clear might end up being the only smart thing they did in the whole ordeal. -
Depending on what comes out between now and Monday, Raw could be a hell of a show.

Xavier Woods has long been the rare fun wrestling Twitter follow, but he's been ramping it up since he has so much time on his hands since tearing his Achilles. He was talking about getting ready for another convention despite his injury and I literally lol'ed at him ending up going as Professor X complete with his hover-wheelchair gimmick.

A billion dollar company in a country with basically infinite money at their disposal, and no one can find another plane for nearly a whole day? Especially when the upper echelon folks were able to? The current official explanation doesn't hold up to even the smallest amount of scrutiny. -

They mentioned at the Q3 investor conference deal that they expected to have a Middle East TV deal in place by now, and there was a story that came out a few days ago on how the Saudi government was dragging their feet on a deal they had with Canada to pay them for military equipment. So it kind of lines up that perhaps Vince was pissed they didn't have a TV deal and got into a dick waving contest with the Prince. If any of that turns out to be close to what happened, the talent should be furious to be left behind stuck in a potentially hostile foreign country when Vince and his crew got themselves their own plane and bounced. -
Funny thing is what should have exposed him to the world was when the Young Bucks put him on blast for sliding in their DMs offering to work a program with them after bashing them saying it's the only program people would believe. It's why I believe he does it to try to stay relevant. He may actually believe the shit he says, but he would put that aside to work with them in a heartbeat.

He doesn't block when it works for the gimmick.

He doesn't deserve to be "cancelled" but he needs to learn that there's things that don't fly in 2019 and doing a misogynist gimmick on Twitter (even against someone he feels has ulterior motives) is not going to look good to his employers. Also it's pretty funny that woman was snitch tagging the NWA and Billy on all of Cornette's potentially problematic tweets when his own fanboys snitch tag him on anyone's tweet that mentions any topic that would get him riled up.

Figured it was a WWE deal since he was still running the school when he was doing stuff for Impact a few months ago. Plus you'd think AEW has a light enough schedule he would have been able to keep the school open.

Shit luck in this case meaning they did a show on the other side of the world the day before Smackdown. This isn't like that time they got stranded by a blizzard and they had to do Raw from the WWE studio, that was a shit happens moment. This was scheduling shows as far apart as the planet allows in the span of 24 hours allowing for virtually no margin of error. It sucks that the Saudi government is using WWE to whitewash their treatment of women with the implication that having that match means they are somehow loosening restrictions. It does seem to be a big deal to young girls there so I suppose that's a silver lining, but it's hard to square it being a world changing moment when they still require women to be accompanied in public.

Speaking of, we know Bryan's deal but how did Miz manage to not have to go?
-
You're not wrong but I'm guessing the show was written with the idea the crowd might try to What Chant an NXT person so they have Uncle Paul cut the go home promo.
-
So the key to a good Adam Cole match is to have Daniel twist him into a pretzel.

I suppose Rhea vs Shayna is the women's equivalent to a hoss match, and I can't wait for it.
