  1. I will say there probably is something to that, being bipolar is a bitch and I don't doubt he was a bear to work with especially before he got his meds situated. Having said that, it would be kind of weaksauce to blame mental illness for asshole behavior. I can understand giving someone a little wider berth in that situation but at the end of the day a jerk is a jerk.
  2. I started following IMPACT more closely since I realized you can watch the most recent episode of their TV without having to sign up for their streaming service, and it really is amazing how much better Matthews is now. He still comes off kind of like a douche at times, but Callis out there to needle him tends to keep his worse tendencies in check. It helps that Callis is my favorite kind of announcer, the ex wrestler who's kinda heelish but also calls things more or less down the middle. It's like the wrestling equivalent to having someone like Tony Romo calling an NFL game.
  3. I love how that person in the tweet was all "one show in and they're turning on Mauro" when people have been down on him for a while. Or is PWO just ahead of the curve? Nice to see that he's taking a page from Seth's playbook and play the "check the bank account" card though.

    WWE Hidden Gems

Early Scott Steiner should be fun to see.
  5. I'm spitballing here, but I would assume an insurance company would feel more comfortable with their guy doing a match with the billion dollar industry leader than an indy they probably haven't heard of. Also I'm not sure that Big Dave would want to risk messing up that Marvel money at this point. He ended his wrestling career on the biggest stage, it wouldn't make sense for him to do a Bloodsport type show no matter how cool it would be.
  6. I just want Brock and Big E to do the ultimate hoss match, just one time.
  7. He was good doing the Beast in the East show and on the Mae Young Classic, practically everything he does that annoys people is by design since it's what Vince wants. Just go back to the 80s and 90s when Vince was lead announcer, that's what he wants everyone to sound like but the problem is no one can do Vince like Vince does.
  8. The scary part is the police took him to the hospital apparently based on things he was saying when they arrived on the scene. That normally only happens if they think the person is at risk of harming themselves. Oddly enough, Enzo and Janela were on another indy show the day before with no incident so Cass was fighting a battle he didn't need to.
  9. I'd be pretty confident Heyman already knows what that is. To think Corey was somehow going into business for himself by outwardly stating what was being implied all through this storyline so far is kind of naive. As far as Corey's drop in quality goes I'd think there's two factors at play: Main roster announcers get overproduced to death, almost all of them start out pretty good (or at least you can see potential), but within a few months everything that made them unique gets replaced by WWE drone speak. Secondly, there seems to be a lot of evidence that Corey's let being put on both shows go to his head. He's had some Seth-worthy levels of cringe inducing interactions with randoms on Twitter, and he's basically admitted he goes out partying and Renee ends up being his babysitter keeping him out of trouble.
  10. Wow, Harper last night and Rusev and AOP today. It's like Vince remembered he had a bunch of guys he wasn't using.
  11. Lol at Kane's ref being named "Burns".
  12. It really should be mentioned how great Bray has been as both the Fiend and the host of the Funhouse.
  13. The Street Profits are hosting Maria's gender reveal party tonight, so that should be something.
  14. LOL the crowd goes wild for Seth getting Fiend'ed. I almost feel sorry for the poor bastard.
  15. The Spanish announce guy leaping into the crowd will never not amuse me.
  16. I'm guessing this match is just window dressing to lead up to the Fiend making an appearance.
  17. Sasha must have been binge watching Memphis tapes during her time off, this is quite the brawl.
  18. I'm thinking Roode-Dolph wins so they can be sacrificial lambs to the Viking Raiders on Raw.
  19. I was wondering why they bothered making a doc. It's not like they would actually say that the company made promises to her and then pulled the rug out.
  20. Wasn't there something about being on drink cups at 7-11 too? There was a promotion going on when he was unarguably one of the top stars in the company and he was left off.
  21. Yes, when the original Mistico left, CMLL made a new one with the first Dragon Lee. The Dragon Lee we know today is the brother of the original (and Rush). When the original Mistico came back to CMLL they combined the Sin Cara name with Mistico and created Caristico. It wasn't clear why AAA suddenly gave Angelikal the Mysteziz Jr gimmick out of nowhere, and it probably wasn't to do this angle, but at least it kind of makes sense now.
  22. ....and that the promoter gets a management fee, so they do get a cut of anything their "contractors" do.
  23. Yeah lets not start with personal attacks. It's not going to do your argument any favors.
