There's still a fairly large section of fans online who still think Cornette can do no wrong because he managed the Midnights and booked SMW. NXT has been flat, there doesn't seem to be any firm plans for a weekly UK show yet, so putting the UK guys on NXT for now seems like the best thing for all involved. Also I guess this means the UK championship is an actual defended title and not just the prize for winning a tournament?

There was a time around 1999 or so where they let Jimmy Hart book Saturday Night more or less in it's own universe which was pretty good.

The only thing about WWECW is that they were pushing You Know Who right up to the week of everything hitting the fan, and that might make them reluctant to put that up.

Purazzo appeared on NXT, Impact, and ROH within weeks of each other, which is kind of amazing when you think about it.

I could see them fleshing out the PTWs and Saturday Nights, and I believe they just started doing the late era Worldwides right before 24/7 was shut down. Still don't know why they can't do a mass dump of the AWA/WCCW/Florida stuff that was already digitized.

The only thing that really changed is that Vince is more willing to give smaller guys more than just a courtesy run with the belt. Rey only won because it was capping off the Eddie Guerrero Death Exploitation Bonanza, and Vince couldn't wait to have all the bigger guys squash him. Now it doesn't seem like a major issue having smaller guys actually carry the ball for a bit.

Not exactly an answer to your question but someone asked Dave if we'd ever see Florida footage on the network and his reply was pretty much that they don't seem to think it's worth the time and money needed to make them network worthy. Which made me the saddest of pandas.
