I was thinking they should do like when Randy Orton first hurt his shoulder back in the day and have weekly Eva News Network updates.
-
It seems like they have pretty much given up on last gen consoles, since they never really fixed the 360 version either. The PS4/X1 versions seem to work pretty well though.
-
Surely he could use the Bret Hart defense and say it was hardway? Anyone sponsoring wrestling should know shit happens sometimes.
-
I know anything said by a luchador should be taken with the largest of grains of salt, but Rush said CMLL kept him off the Anniversary show because of the Park brawl. Keeping one of your top acts off the top show over something petty does seem like a pretty CMLL thing to do though,
-
They should have had Eva's voice over guy announce her suspension.
-
Well this is about to get hilarious.
-
They did those in NXT when was in Paris filming Total Divas and it was great.

ADR = all time GOAT if true,
-
They debuted him in front of a hot LA crowd eager to cheer him, only to pair him up with Zeb the same night, Pretty sure he got the memo right there they weren't going to do anything meaningful with him.
-
So CMLL announced they are finally starting to work with ROH, which everyone was waiting for since both of them have talent exchanges with New Japan, This seems like a win-win for both sides. CMLL has like a billion guys they don't ever seem to use much, ROH needs some new faces to spice things up, and CMLL ownership is so hands off they likely won't give a shit if their guys job as long as they get their cut so ROH guys don't have to be cannon fodder like they are to New Japan.

I don't think anyone's overrating Del Rio's ability to point out he could have been used better in WWE, especially right after we saw him being used better in ROH/AAA/LU right before. He's clearly a guy who has some talent but can also mail it in like nobody's business when not motivated, and I'd gather it was hard to find much motivation in recent times.

Dean always sounds like that in interviews, he reminds me a lot of a guy I worked with that everyone was convinced was a stoner but was just unfortunate to be born with a voice that sounded like Shaggy from Scooby-doo. I just remember her excuse was that she was just excited to be talking with Stone Cold, which...yeah. Maybe excited like Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell.
-
Inb4 everyone goes back to Zapruder the Stone Cold Podcast Paige did where she was talking faster than an 80s Roddy Piper promo.
-
If ADR leaves, Paige will certainly follow if they stay together. The last thing you want to be is in a relationship with someone who leaves the company on less than the best terms. Especially if he goes somewhere else and has any level of success. They won't be able to help themselves from taking it out on her.

It's a very Vince thing to want to get guys who left with "upper hand" to come back to WWE so he can claim victory.
-
I kind of get them debuting the Demon on Raw, in their minds it's more important to have it happen where more people are watching. I don't see any reason to give away Rusev vs Roman though.
-
Man, all I gotta say is Johnny's gonna be so pissed when he finds out ya'll got into his stash.
-
On a happier note, Xavier Woods' UpUpDownDown video game show got its own section on the network today. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea here but you gotta respect dude's hustle.
-
I went back and watched Hardcore Heaven 95 since I've been thinking that perhaps I'm too harsh on ECW by saying it doesn't hold up. It was actually a little better than I remembered, but man is it depressing as fuck to watch knowing how most of the people involved turn out.
-
I wonder if Vince staying home means he has complete trust in Triple H to run things.

The only time people are "ageist" is when the older generation makes an ass of itself on social media. Otherwise, pro wrestling is by far the most accepting to older folks than any other form of sports or entertainment. Like El-P mentioned, sometimes it goes both ways watching everyone in WWE but old pro Jericho get worked into a froth by a fighter doing an 80s Ric Flair cosplay.
-
...and I think that creates a lot of the resentment towards the old guys as well. Fans who don't like how the company treats their favorites get upset they rely on draws from a bygone era, the older guys not used to the post-Internet Twitter banter world end up snapping back at them and looking like they're shaking their canes at all the whippersnappers in their yard,

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
sek69 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
It's like every time you think TNA finally ran out of lives, Dixie manages to put in the Konami Code. -
Wrestling is such a different beast that people never leave the business unless they die or get too injured to compete. That leads to a lot of old timers feeling their opinions carry more weight than the youngsters, and maybe sometimes there's merit to that. The problem is that a lot of old timers don't handle getting their ideas challenged very well and usually end up coming off very poorly in the process. There's also the very real issue of not every great booking idea from the past being able to work today, and some people who either were fans of the past territories or worked for them take it to heart too much.
