  1. Jarrett absolutely could get a watchable match out of Jericho, dude knows all the tricks and has been a master of the carny arts for like 40 years.
  2. Why would they not put the best British wrestler on what might end up being the biggest show ever in the UK? He's even been on Dynamite several times so it wouldn't even be out of place.
  3. I'm sure word got back to him that he's Eddie's idol and did him a solid. Plus it's probably just fans going to his shop that annoy him.
  4. Swerve/AR Fox vs Darby/Nick Wayne is going to be nuts
  5. Another hot crowd for Dynamite. After feeling cold for a while AEW is feeling like it's picking up some steam. AR Fox getting a major program on national TV is great to see. "You deserve it" is a cliche nowadays but Fox really does deserve it. Also as someone who watches lucha regularly, I've never seen someone throw their body at someone on a dive as hard as Darby does.
  6. I get they have to try so I don't blame them, but I just don't buy Roxanne can ever be angry enough to attack someone in a convenience store.
  7. Jesus, Dana and Cora really laying their shit in
  8. Also lol at the camera catching Cora laughing at Booker taking a bump off his chair after she got tossed over the announce table.
  9. Having Baron Corbin be Gable's first opponent is certainly a choice, but I guess he's just there to get tossed around so it doesn't matter too much.
  10. NXT so much more compelling than Raw as a show, Tiff vs Rhea the best booked womens' program in WWE right now.
  11. Raw wasn't bad or anything, but it just seems like nothing on it matters. Like no one really thinks Finn is going to beat Seth, or that Sami was going to beat Dom when he has a match already booked for GAB.

    Odd Couples

Eddie Gilbert and fresh off the Blade Runners Sting was an odd pairing at the time.
  13. Everything about this is great, both that they are fans of his and that you know Bryan has tapes of Glamour Girls vs Jumping Bomb Angels matches.
  14. Interesting how WWE seems to think the reason long term characters work is the gimmick itself not the performer. They tried to make Lex Luger the new Hulk Hogan, They tried to make Wyatt the new Undertaker, and they've tried to make tons of folks the new Rey Mysterio. It never seems to occur to them it was the charisma of the people doing those characters/gimmicks that made it work in the first place.
  15. Sounds like Athena and Willow went out there and had a banger worthy of the main event spot. Looks like I need to track it down and watch it.
  16. I don't know if it would have been much different otherwise, but once AEW made that deal with WBD that their programming would only air on TNT/TBS it seemed pretty obvious ROH was going to be the new Dark. They clearly want (and need) a throwaway show to give folks matches to do so they don't get pissed about sitting around too long doing nothing. It's like if WCW had actually done what some folks were suggesting and booked Saturday Night as its own universe once NItro took over as the A show.
  17. I saw Aussie Open won the ROH tag titles and I suppose it's pretty telling my first reaction was "shit, I didn't know Mark Davis was back from injury"
  18. He peaked as the idiot son of the Wrestling Family
  19. I noticed that, but they are in Orlando....
  20. Boo not giving LA the win there
  21. Is it me or is it weird that Roman still carries the separate WWE/Universal belts *and* the new one?
  22. If he had a different name but was still Latino, he'd have a chance since WWE is on a never-ending quest to find the new superstar for that demographic.
  23. Fuck, that sucks. Rick was one of the first people I read to find out about pro wrestling. A lot of the wrestling writers at the time were always doing gimmicks which sometimes got a little too overwhelming, and he was one of the few that just told you what you wanted to know. He was only 49, that's like an extra kick in the balls.
  24. Honestly think the answer here is both. He 100% should be in developmental all things considered, but they caught lightning in a bottle with him getting "drown out the promo" heat so why not run with it. The only people in the business getting that are him and Don Callis, and Don had to stab a motherfucker to get it.
