So in the latest Observer, Dave mentioned a video package WWC put together as part of their 40th Anniversary featuring all the guys who worked for them who've passed away. He makes a point of mentioning they didn't include Brody, but I'm not sure what he wanted them to do. Including him in a video promoting a show with Invader #1 in a top match seems like it would be worse, and as Dave mentioned it's not like they never mention him in other instances.

He seems like such a cuddly car spa manager....

If they let him do what he's capable of, that's not even a matter of debate. I was surprised the crowd seemed into the Matadores, I thought they would instantly shit on the gimmick. I don't know if Epico and Primo have the chops to pull it off or not, but seeing it in action makes me think it has Dusty-in-polka-dots potential in terms of a lame gimmick getting over.

re: JBL, I liked how they were doing a modern day Ventura with him being a heel announcer who "tells it like it is". Now with the Locker Room vs HHH angle, he's become Hunter's white knight which seems jarring to me.

GAB 88 always seemed like the prototypical "Flair broomstick" match. To me it wasn't that Lex needed carried, but more that Flair was just on another level at that point.

So ROH CEO Joe Koff was on the show today, and it really shows where the company's problems are. He's obviously passionate about wrestling, but it's also just as clear he's entirely out of touch in terms of technology. He admitted he doesn't know shit about how streaming video works, and it's clear the biggest reason the ROH iPPVs keep shitting the bed is due to them going with bargain bin providers. The moment they start gaining any level of traffic the feeds die. It was kind of embarrassing to see him bring up running shows in old buildings as part of the problem when CMLL (a company infamous for being way more behind the times than any other in the world) streams shows from old ass buildings every week with nary a hitch because they partnered up with Terra instead of Bob's Bait Shop and iPPV Emporium.

Yeah, the question was asked "Is Cena the best big match wrestler of all time". Of course the answer would be no. If anything, Dave was being dismissive of the person asking the question for even thinking such a thing. Another funny thing about polls is Bryan mentioned on a non-Dave show that he has nothing to do with the polls ever since putting a joke poll up years ago after a Bryan and Vinny show debate only to have Dave take it down in seconds. The implication that these polls are SERIOUS BUSINESS for Dave make these "who's the bigger star" ones even more hilarious.

Funny moment during the RAW review, Bryan pokes fun at Dave for taking the time to mention JBL referenced the wrong "Welcome Back Kotter" character in a joke he made. All the while I'm thinking Dave probably did that since he knows he has to explain any TV/movie/sports reference to Bryan.

Also what are the chances they end up having AJ join the forces against the Corporation so someone can give Steph her comeuppance? They did do that thing where they had a confrontation so there'd be some storyline logic to it.
-
I was reminded of Dusty's HOF speech where he mentioned getting yelled at by Steph for not reading emails despite him barely knowing how to operate a computer.
-
It warmed my heart to hear the loud Dusty chants considering the WWE audience doesn't seem to know anyone pre Attitude Era (nor should they since WWE usually acts like history began in 1996).
-
Taking the belt off Bryan makes me think more of how Bischoff would overturn every time the Outsiders lost the WCW tag titles. As Will mentioned, I don't think people have the patience for a long term "face gets unfairly removed as champ" angle. Too many people expect instant gratification.

I know it's been long known Dave and/or Bryan seemingly post things on the front page without reading them, but the latest ROH TV report is just insane. Not only is it a wall of text, it switches to micro sized font for the majority of the review before going back to normal size. I don't expect proof reading, but don't they even bother looking at what's posted?

So I guess they honor Dusty being in the house tomorrow by doing his finish on RAW.

Konnan made a good point on his show with Dave and Bryan, he mentioned that people in WWE have told him the main reason JR's let Vince treat him like a battered wife all this time is so he can keep their medical insurance to cover his Bell's Palsy treatments. What I've never figured out is why does Vince seem to have such a boner for humiliating the guy? If he doesn't like Southern rasslin' type guys, why'd he hire him in the first place? It's not like he suddenly turned into an Okie after he joined the company. -
Wrestling legend, GI Joe character, lifetime WWE legends gig, and now this. I think it's pretty safe to say Sarge wins at life.
-
I know Dusty's a polarizing figure, but a "Hard Times 2013" style promo would be a great addition to the angle.
-
About Dave going to WWE shows, I think he said he'd go to Wrestlemania if the new 49ers stadium gets it. Makes sense since it's going to be in a suburb of San Jose which makes it almost literally in Dave's backyard.

Also it finally hit me tonight, ever since Miz grew out his fauxhawk he looks like a buffed up Steve Buschemi.

Cesaro doing the giant swing until the crowd stopped doing their stupid chant and realizing something awesome was going on was magnificent.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

First they just had Velvet casually mention she and Sabin have been dating for a while (as if that was something everyone already knew), and here we are two weeks later watching them have a fight. Actually it wasn't even a fight, it was just Sabin being the most whiny, petulant douchebag possible while Velvet just stood there being annoying. -
Possibly because the Facebook page that posted the news listed his wrestling name as "Ian Rotton".

There's been many times where someone completely buries a show based on tapings results posted somewhere, and when the actual show airs it's nowhere as bad as the writeup made it seem. Sure, perhaps editing cleaned some things up, but the whole "base your opinion on someone else's opinion" is often not the best way to go about things.

HHH is just so great as the scumbag boss everyone hates. He's like a jacked version of Lumberg from Office Space. The moment Big Show finally snaps and knocks him the fuck out is going to be a monster pop. Also how great would it be if Dusty showed up to give a "motivate the troops" speech like Fred Blassie did during the invasion angle? A fired up Dusty promo about how the evil McMahons fired his boy would be the cherry on top of an awesome angle so far.

Wasn't there something on how either Richards or Edwards (I forget which one) might have problems passing the WWE concussion test if they were offered a job?
