  1. I think it's not so much Matt Hardy's status as the issue as much as Taker, one of the few guys who could probably tell Vince to go fuck himself and get away with it, getting his panties in a wad over anything Matt Hardy does.
  2. To be fair, at least he's an equal-opportunity douche, since he's the guy who threatened to beat the shit out of HBK when he refused to to a job.
  3. It looks like it was taken when Andre had his last All Japan run after he left the WWF right before he died.
  4. Also, did anyone find out what Vito did to warrant getting a worm salad at the PPV?
  5. I know Taker's a big mark for his character, but wasn't part of him not being on the wrestler or 9/11 tribute shows WWE not wanting a character who's whole deal is based on being an undead zombie on a show meant to pay respect to the recently deceased?
  6. I thought the Ole song for Joe was funny when I first heard it, but I'm sure it gets annoying on a constant basis. The ROH fans chanting "Arigato" at Kobashi just struck me as pretentious for some reason, even Kenta had a sort of "wtf?" look on his face. "You fucked up" chants always pissed me off, since it's always the kind of fans Rick Rude would rip on (fat, out of shape...) who seem to start it. Plus it's disrespectful to the workers, when you fuck up at your job people don't gather around your desk and yell "YOU FUCKED UP, YOU FUCKED UP!"
  7. Vince is the Mr. Magoo of wrestling, just when you think he's going to walk off the ledge, another beam magically lands under his feet.
  8. Well he finally did it, after years of watching RAW and SD through all the crap, Vince lost me. I'm tapping out. I don't plan to watch this week, and perhaps further if they keep up with this suicide/Boogeyman kind of bullshit.
  9. That was my first thought, what did Vito do to warrant Worm Chow?
  10. I always think back to the Taker-HBK hell in a cell, and how everything was booked for a reason. There was reason that the cell was opened to let them brawl up to the roof, there was a reason for the match playing out the way it did. Then I realize there was probably more planning put into that match than in the last 6 months of WWE TV.
  11. Nice to see just who WWE thinks the stars are in that Rumble commercial.
  12. Wow. I know I want some good old fashioned suicides in my wrestling PPVs.
  13. Jeez, it's like people join this board just to prove me wrong.
  14. I got what he meant by saying HHH jobs to much, but the "too giving" part confused me too.
  15. It looks good on paper, but besides HIAC the card got zero promotion so why should the fans give a shit about this show when WWE couldn't make it more apparent that they don't.
  16. The only match that's got any promotion is Taker/Orton and even there WWE has conditioned fans to only pop for the Stupidly Dangerous Bump ™ in every HIAC.
  17. Not to mention SK's habit of tossing in "did ya know" tidbits in his writing that not only end up being reliably wrong, but get turned into "fact" by people who read his writings as Gospel.
  18. Taken from one of those posts on WO that's just a shill for some internet radio show: Wow, I never heard anyone say HHH jobs too much before. What happened betweeen him and Muta, anyone know the story there? Much like the HHH comment, the Sting remark is the polar opposite of what most people's opinons are.
  19. Considering the WWF was running up to three different touring groups at a time, I would think that would play a role on why Hogan didn't face certain people. I'm sure he vetoed programs against people, but Hogan's all about making money and I don't think he'd veto a program he thinks could make some money. That's why he wanted to have more than one match with Shawn. Paul himself said the arm/neck injury that ended up causing his retirement happened during the Hogan program and it ended up as bad as it was because he was afraid to take the time off to get it treated during such a hot feud. I'd wager that played a role in things ending when they did as much as any Hogan egoness did. Don't get me wrong, Hogan certainly deserves most if not all of the shit he gets from smart fans, but there were other forces in the universe that caused things to play out the way they did.
  20. I think the big knock on Hogan is that he did just enough to not embarrass himself in the ring, but even he could have done more in a lot of the matches he was in. Look at WM 3, Hogan had to pretty much wrestle himself since Andre could barely move at that point. It's actually an amazing display from a guy who most consider one of the worst workers of all time. He's no Ric Flair, but he goes out there and bumps probably more than he did for anyone else in the 80s and salvages something watchable out of what had no right getting out of the negative star range. When you look at it, Hogan had a similar problem to what Taker had in the 90s: Both guys spent their prime years matched up against some of the most untalented lumps of all time.
  21. Val and Vis could be a good team if WWE gave a shit about tag wrestling. I know I'm pretty much alone on this but I think Vis is an excellent worker for a guy hovering around 500 pounds. It's a shame he's really never been given a serious gimmick to go with his size and ability.
  22. Says the guy who thinks Vince is a creative genius.....
  23. Wow, savagerulz must work for WWE. I've never seen anyone make such a spirited attempt at turd-polishing.
  24. History has shown the one thing Vince has talent for is taking advantage of his competitor's stupidness.
  25. You lost me there.
