    NXT talk

More boring: Roderick Strong or Bobby Roode? I could not care less about this Roderick Strong Vs. Eric Young match. Dude just has zero charisma.
  2. The Andrews/Bate UK Title match on the WWE UK show on the Network today was pretty good. I'm a big fan of both Bate and Pete Dunne. Looking forward to Saturday.
  3. Ugh. That stinks.
  4. He has the best entrance/theme, I guess.

    Edge

Better worker: Triple H or Edge? Alberto Del Rio or Edge? Randy Orton or Edge? (holy shit Rated-RKO was boring) Cody Rhodes or Edge? Edge always sort of reminded me of seeing guys like Dino Bravo when watching old wrestling shows. Like he's always there and I never really care. Never struck me as a main eventer, despite how much they used him. Good for him that he's in the Hall of Fame but the credibility of that will always be questioned anyway. Speaking of Hall of Fame: Koko B. Ware or Edge? I liken Edge a lot to how I see Kane, actually. Not a great worker, continually around the top of the card but you never really care about him all that much. He's just kinda there. Kane or Edge?
  6. The card for Dominion is shaping up very nicely & I'm already pretty excited. IWGP Title: Okada© Vs. Omega rematch IWGP IC: Naito© Vs. Tanahashi rematch NEVER: Minoru© Vs. Goto - Lumberjack Deathmatch IWGP Tag: War Machine© Vs. GoD Jr. Tag: Roppongi Vice© Vs. Young Bucks Cody Vs. Elgin - which is about the worst match I can think of as it's two of my least liked wrestlers in the world right now but whatever. Naito/Tanahashi was my fav match from Wrestle Kingdom & I'm looking forward to it again. I think Naito is my favorite wrestler in the world right now. Good chance Omega could take the title from Okada this time so that Okada. Minoru Suzuki is really good but Goto is hit or miss (and sometimes lazy) so maybe the stipulation can help some? Dunno what to expect from that one. I do really like Goto's new finish. I'm sure Hiromu Takahashi will defend the Jr. Belt on the card too. All the stables in New Japan are full of people that suck. Hard to take the stables seriously when they're full of dudes like Yujiro Takahashi, Toru Yano,Taichi Ishikari or fucking EVIL with his K-Mart Halloween clearance rank outfit. It's like the nWo b-team when we were supposed to take Vincent & Horace Hogan seriously. Damn shame about Shibata. He was one of my favorites. Curious to watch Katsuya Kitamura develop & see if he turns out any good. I need to seek out Tiger Mask/Okada and the NEVER title switch between Suzuki/Goto.

Surprised there's not a thread on this already. So, Rip Rogers on Twitter posted this: Now a bunch of "controversy" has spread on Twitter (and other wrestling related websites). Randy Orton has gotten involved & started trolling people, The Young Bucks, Ricochet, several wrestlers have said shit. We've sort of talked about similar things around PWO for awhile but I thought this deserved it's own thread. From what I gather it's turning into a conversation about how less is more & the bar is being pushed too high.
  10. Sorry, I meant me with the angry part. My writing isn't the best.
  11. We've all been there. Not responding to stro, but just posting when we should probably already be in bed.

    WWE Payback

I thought this was the blowoff. It was quite awhile ago though so I probably forgot a lot of it. Did this happen before the Rumble? I do remember Bryan losing that match.

He won last night and won the feud I guess I didn't see it that way. He won the match due to Jinder, after Orton had him beat... and Bray is still not the champ. So all his feud with Orton did was lose him the world title.

    WWE Payback

I don't know if I can think of another wrestler that has lost more big matches than Bray Wyatt. He did win the Elimination Chamber and title there but then he immediately lost it to Orton and then just lost the Orton rematch. Has he ever won a feud?

    Still better than Kevin Owens.

Really liked the show. Well, the Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton shit was straight Wrestlecrap (but even that, I popped for the Mahal run-in) but the rest of the card was at least fun. Was surprised Bliss won the Women's title but I'm not against it. I feel Bayley has been a lot worse on the main roster than she was in NXT & she can't talk for shit. Bliss, since being called-up, has excelled. Especially as far as character work & talking goes. Preshow tag was nothing, really, but I think the goal was to get the crowd going with the Enzo sing-a-long entrance more than anything. Balor on MizTV was good. Aries/Neville was pretty good. Tag match was pretty good. Jericho/Owens I didn't really like. Felt like they were moving in slow motion, especially the first half of the match. Also felt like it went a little too long. Seth/Joe underachieved IMO. It was forgettable. Braun Strowman/Roman Reigns was awesome. Both of those dudes are money. Also Corey Graves has turned into quite the good color commentator. Good show.

Seth Rollins Vs. Samoa Joe Roman Reigns Vs. Braun Strowman Neville Vs. Austin Aries Those three matches should be hype!
  18. PPV is Sunday so we're going to have all the cliffhanger stuff, so I expect Roman to stand tall tonight.

To be fair, when you do listen to him first hand, he's terribly hard to understand. He's all over the place with trying to get his thoughts into words. Horrible speaker.
  20. I'm saying YES to both Shibata/Okada & Suzuki/Okada. That being said, I definitely have some gripes: Firstly, it's hard for me to get into Okada. Mostly because he keeps working matches & going over wrestlers that I think are a lot better than him. Tanahashi, Suzuki, Naito, Shibata I would all easily have above him still, even if he's only 29-years-old. A lot of his offense, especially his strikes, are really weak looking. And he completely blows off a lot of required selling to get his shit in. Case in point, his match with Minoru. Minoru kills Okada's leg... forever. Like, for so long it was overkill. And it didn't lead to a submission or even play into the finish. Okada still just hits his dropkicks and top rope bullshit and the Rainmaker. It kills the psychology of the match for me. It's one of the same criticisms that I always had about Shawn Michaels. Call it "fighting spirit" or adrenaline or whatever but it still makes a lot of the work of the match feel like it's pointless. I feel like both matches (Shibata & Suzuki) were trying to get over the toughness of Okada but I don't necessarily know if either did that because it felt unbelievable when watching it. How long was Okada in the kneebar trying to get to the ropes in the Suzuki match? Or when he tried to go toe-to-toe with Shibata in striking exchanges, throwing out some bad forearms like a Rob Van Dam or Trish Stratus. He won both matches but I think Okada himself was the worst part in those matches. Like it made me want to see Shibata/Suzuki more than Okada have another match with someone else. They're still both good matches and worthy of a yes but I'm giving the credit to Shibata and Minoru Suzuki, not to Okada. Regardless of how much Dave Meltzer tries to pimp Okada as the next coming of Ric Flair, I'm not seeing it. I see a lanky, awkward dude whose style is somewhat confusing. I guess his deal is the dude that won't quit because the title means everything to him. Minoru is 48, we know he can't be a top guy or around too much longer. Shibata is 37 & probably going to have a ton of brain trauma if he keeps doing those headbutts and shit. But I'm questioning why Okada was the new horse to back for them. But he keeps having good matches (where he's the weak link in the matches) so whatever. I think many of his matches would benefit from being 5-10 minutes shorter, for sure. At the end of the year, despite giving both a Yes, I know they won't be at the top for me already. I like Tanahashi/Naito better than both, in example. Shibata & Suzuki themselves are both amazing in those matches by the way. The way Shibata took & didn't drop from the first Rainmaker was fucking gross!
  21. Losing Dean Ambrose is just a net positive for Smackdown anyway you slice it, in my book. Although I really don't want to see The New Day Show up on Smackdown and clog that show up with their tired, unfunny shtick. Alexa Bliss moving will be cancelled out by Smackdown getting another women in return. I think losing Mickie is a positive for Smackdown as well. Plus, of course, Smackdown kept Styles. So this all seems like good stuff to me.

That's called assault and people tend to get arrested for such things, particularly people who are trained fighters and intentionally try to injure someone. What if Bas beat up JBL backstage at a WWE show then said he was just playing a heel?
  23. Junkyard Dog was the shits. Drizzling fucking lazy-ass unworking shits. One of the worst wrestlers I have ever personally tried to watch. Stand by that. Firm. Also, it's fucking hilarious to me when goc tries to act like he's a more knowledgeable or better fan than others. Fuckin' lol. Suck my dick, you prick,
  24. That kinda went out the door when you saw everyone was sitting in a steel chair like it was a $15 Indy show.
  25. Angle actin' a fool up there.
