I love "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan Vs. The Rock because of how surreal it was hearing that crowd. The work of the match wasn't great but the emotion and drama was off-the-charts. The crowd and nostalgia totally made that match. I genuinely teared up when watching it live when Hogan hulked up. It was like the culmination of all of my years of watching pro-wrestling to that point. Starting with Hogan in the 80's in WWF. Switched to Hogan as a bad guy in WCW in the 90's. Then we got that match with that crowd. It was just awesome. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Vs. Bret "Hitman" Hart in a Submission match, of course. I always forget that Ken Shamrock is the referee of that match too. The Wrestlemania X Intercontinental Ladder Match between Shawn Michaels & Razor Ramon definitely deserves a mention. So does the Wrestlemania X-Seven TLC match with Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys & Edge/Christian. I honestly don't feel like Savage/Steamboat holds up that well and George Steele actually takes away from the match to me. I also never liked Bret/Owen and found it boring but I need to rewatch it, for sure. See it with my eyes of today. Also, honorable mention to Tito Santana Vs. The Barbarian from Wrestlemania VI. Not a great match but The Barbarian takes Tito's head off with that top rope clothesline! There's also a match between Akeem/Big Boss Man Vs. The Rockers where Akeem kills Shawn Michaels with a clothesline. Good stuff!

My top three would be Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe & Nigel McGuinness, so the results weren't really far off of what I had envisioned in my mind. I didn't submit a ballot, I had started one & jotted down the names that I thought were worthy. I got to about twenty names - there was no way I could get to fifty, let alone one-hundred. That being said, reading through all of the names was fun and even a little nostalgic. I'm not sure if others feel the same way but reading the list made me genuinely realize how much great talent has come from Ring of Honor. They have had some very strong years over the course of their existence.

Rick Rude is a long time coming & one of the main names that I've been championing for a few years now. Should have been in awhile ago but I'm glad he'll get his due now. One of my all-time favorite wrestlers & a helluva worker. When I put on WWE Network nowadays, even if it's just for background noise, I usually find myself choosing shows from either WCW or WWE from the 1988-1993 time frame and almost always it's a card that involves Rick Rude. I love his 30-minute Iron Man match with Ricky Steamboat.

I remember really liking the blood feud match when Beer Money broke up. James Storm Vs. Bobby Roode. That was a good match too. I don't remember the date but I remember it involved a beer bottle being broken over Storm's head & I think Roode won even though I think everyone wanted Storm to win.

Saw him team with Shinsuke vs Roode and Patrick Clark tonight. Thought he looked good and at least is not wearing that tight shirt he wore in the Roode title match that airs this week. I don't want to spoil it but that match was disappointing. Every Roode match is going to be disappointing. For some reason NXT picking him up and having a meme song suddenly made people think he's this 5 star talent instead of a baseline average TV match worker. Maybe 4-5 years ago he could be great with the right opponent, but he's basically the Terry Taylor of his generation if TT got taken seriously in WWE/WCW. A very solid, dependable worker, but not someone you should be expecting great matches from. Yeah, it's weird in that people think he's even above-average as a solo guy. His best stuff was always tag stuff when teaming with James Storm IMO. He's really boring on his own.

People's perception of wrestler's sizes.

EDIT: My reply here was terrible & unwarranted. I am embarrassed & ashamed of it and an apology has been issued. -
That Snuka Splash attempt by Strowman was unreal. Awesome.
-
That was a whole lot of filler.

Even from a kayfabe perspective, why is Beth Phoenix being inducted? She might be the least credible inductee ever, including the Celebrity Wing.
-
I don't think that I've ever seen Samoa Joe do that leg sweep before! That was pretty cool.
-
Why? I don't think people want to see long Goldberg matches. It's all about his aura of being a destroyer. I don't care if he wins the title tonight or not but I don't want to see him wrestle Kevin Owens for twenty minutes nor Brock at Wrestlemania. That's what they tried to do with him his first time around in WWE and it sucked. He's not really made for long matches.
-
What percentage of the time do you think WWE storylines payoff in satisfying fashion? I am afraid to provide my answer to that for fear it will be seen as a troll, but I am genuinely curious. I will provide it at some point after other people provide theirs. Outside of Wrestlemania season, I'd say something like 10-20%. During Wrestlemania season, probably closer to 50-60%.

Reigns/Strowman should be good. Joe/Zayn should be good. Curious if Goldberg wins the title. I don't think Brock/Goldberg or Jericho/Owens either one really needs to be a title match at Wrestlemania. Neville/Gallagher should also be pretty good. I do actually hope that Goldberg squashes Owens. Maybe Jericho distracts Owens which leads to a Spear then Brock can beat down Goldberg after the match?

Strowman/Big Show was awesome. A good hoss on hoss match. Seeing the crowd disappointed that they didn't get a Superplex in 2017 was amazing! Strowman is really good. The Heyman/Lesnar promo was also pretty good to me. Fun stuff.

When The Rock "hosted" Wrestlemania, it was terrible.

Gratz to Bray. That match was fun. I really love the career trajectory of Baron Corbin though. Started in NXT, worked his way up to the main roster. Won the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania last year. This year he'll probably win the Intercontinental Title from Dean Ambrose. Next year he can win the Royal Rumble then the World Title at Wrestlemania. That would be a great three years and really show him climbing the ladder. I would like that.

Orton/Harper was good. That was fun.

I love Becky. She's my favorite female wrestler in WWE by quite a large margin. I like Alexa Bliss too and Nikki Bella occasionally brings it. I have no problem with them. I don't like Mickie James at all. I think Nattie is downright bad. And Naomi, despite having an awesome entrance & being extremely athletic, really needs to slow down because she gets too sloppy. I like the women on Smackdown & enjoyed the Becky/Alexa stuff. I just don't enjoy what they're all doing right now. This doesn't sound that bad to me. It could be fun.

Plan is for Bray to win to set up Bray-Orton for the title. Doesn't feel like a very Wrestlemania like match. What's the plan for Cena then? At least it'd be something different though.
-
No idea what the plan for Wrestlemania is or who is coming out of the Elimination Chamber with the title. I guess Cena retains? Or he could lose the belt & then at Wrestlemania have a chance to break Ric Flair's record? The rest of the card looks really, really, really bad on paper. Could not care less about Crews or Ziggler. I like Kalisto but feel this is an awful spot for him. Surprised Ascension/Vaudevillains are both on the PPV. If they were released, I'm not sure who would even notice. I actually like Viktor but last time I saw Connor on TV, holy shit had he let himself go. Tag Match has too many bodies that don't mean anything. I like Becky Lynch a lot but I have zero desire to see Mickie James wrestle in 2017. Alexa/Naomi will be awful. Don't expect much from Nikki/Nattie. Three women's matches on one brand PPV? Wow. Harper/Orton could maybe be a sleeper but Orton doesn't seem to bring much anymore & Harper feels like damaged goods.

I'm personally waiting for the B-shows. Namely WCW Thunder, Saturday Night, Main Event, Worldwide and old WWF Velocity shows. Mostly WCW Saturday Night though, especially pre-Nitro.
-
Genuinely didn't know that the Rock 'N Roll Express weren't in already.
-
That match was awesome & Meltzer gave it 2 3/4 stars...but on the same PPV gave Styles Vs. Ambrose 4 1/2. Dude is just about as far away from my opinions as can be.
-
It's amazing to me how much more of a star and a threat Joe looks like in street clothes than he does in his wrestling gear.

Misawa/Kobashi Vs. Kawada/Taue is the best wrestling match I've ever watched. If we're talking about impact on pro-wrestling, my answer would be different but bell-to-bell? Nothing is touching that for me. And I'm not even a big Taue guy.
