  1. Well, 'Taker beat Giant Gonzales by DQ in a match where Gonzales basically squashed him & stretcher jobbed him (though he came back after). I don't think they were thinking about an undefeated streak then. That was in '93. I think they kinda lucked into the Streak, honestly.

I feel the RR JTS a long time ago. The back-to-back wins, the double eliminations, Vince winning the whole damn thing, number 1 having as many wins as number 30, etc. RR is fun- but every year I grow less excited as I can pretty much predict the final 4 and winner. I want the RR to be completely random and have someone like Xavier Woods or Kofi or Fandango win. The RR needs a reset. I remember marking out during the 40-man Royal Rumble when the final two was Del Rio & Santino. I genuinely thought Santino might have a shot! I'm such a mark.

I would actually like if WWE got away from the "early guy lasts a real long time in the Rumble" for awhile. Kinda wish late draws were made a bigger deal. #30 winning as often as #1 seems silly to me in the kayfabe universe. Although I guess that universe doesn't exist anymore.

Playing Devil's Advocate, however, if he ends up turning heel, that's some pretty sweet foreshadowing!
  5. Paul Heyman had one of the only genuinely funny moments last year that legit made me laugh out loud at the television. Heyman: "Knock, Knock." Crowd: "Who's there?" Heyman: "Mike." Crowd: "Mike Who?" Heyman: "Mike...lient Brock Lesnar conquered the undefeated... (etc.)" That was gold!

Also when there's not NFL Monday Night football or the NCAA National Title game on.
  7. When did Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase or André the Giant ever win a Royal Rumble?

and now we could have The Shield chasing after Cena & The Authority instead of Cena chasing after The Authority & Rollins. I don't know if that would be better or not but it would certainly be different. I don't think they should have ever split up The Wyatt Family or The Shield anyway.

What was the good reason? To shock people? Or 'cause 'Taker can't really go anymore? I guess it could be both. Either way, if that were the case, there had to have been a better opponent than Brock.
  10. I kind of like the crowd being dark. I don't like when the fans are all about just getting on camera or holding up stupid signs. It should be about what's going on in the ring, not in the stands.

My problem with The Undertaker is that his aura is gone. His Streak was his last hurrah and WWE killed it for no real reason. So now all the matches that otherwise would have had some intrigue (Cena, Sting) don't matter anymore. What's the point? To see who can beat 'Taker second? The mystique is gone. He has nothing left. Ending the Streak before having one of those big money matches was a total waste & completely short-sighted. A 20-year build blown on a whim.

If you only saw the backstage Clique segment (which was funny, IMO) and the last 5-8 minutes of the show, you probably thought this show was awesome. It was everything around those parts that was boring, unfunny or bland. I don't care about Bryan losing. I do care about it being because of more THEDEMONKANE involvement. I wish that dude would just go away already. Take Big Show with him.

That place came unglued at the end. Sting, for sure. Brock was on another level. Holy crap, Brock as a babyface that took no shit would be awesome.

Most of the recent wrestlers & titles reigns weren't needed. Edge is like a 12-time world champion or something silly. John Cena is 16 now I think. Kayfabe tied with Flair for the most of all-time. It's ridiculous. I don't think a MITB cash-in with Rollins leaving with the belt is out of the question.
  16. If someone had The Shield Vs. The Wyatt Family from Elimination Chamber 2014 on their list, I wouldn't bat an eye. That match was, in my opinion, perfect. Great atmosphere, great work, good finish. I just recently watched Mr. Perfect Vs. Bret Hart from King of the Ring '93, after someone here pimped it, and that match is also great. Bret Hart Vs. Steve Austin from Wrestlemania 13 came to mind. I also love Rock/Hogan from WM19 for purely selfish & nostalgic reasons. I was emotionally drained after that match. Shit was a roller coaster for someone that grew up from being an eight-year-old Hulkamaniac.
  17. Worth going out of the way to see? I watched King of the Ring 1993 two days ago, which apparently I had never seen before. I watched it due to someone in the "unapologetically love" thread said it was a great card with a Bret/Perfect match better than their SummerSlam match. So I wanted to see that match (which was good). But what I took away most from the show was the opening Razor/Bret match & how RAW would be better if the matches were worked like that. It wasn't a long match but it told a story and made sense. Yesterday I watched Wrestlemania IX, whereas the Razor/Backlund match didn't make any sense.
  18. Makes me think: a lot of wrestling stuff was taken from the Mad Max movies. Lord Humungus the character, his mask for Demolition (and their gear), The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes trying to make a "Thunderdome," etc. This year a new Mad Max movie, Fury Road comes out. Maybe someone will try to get some inspiration from that film? I have high expectations for it & I'm a Tom Hardy fan, so here's to hoping!

I like The Miz because he seems like someone people genuinely want to hate. There's not a lot of that in pro-wrestling anymore. When Alex Riley turned on the Miz, Riley was super over as a babyface. When Sandow finally does the same, he'll be even bigger than that (and hopefully not squander the opportunity). Should Miz have been in the title match main event of a Wrestlemania? No, probably not...but I remember dumping on WWE all the time for doing the same thing over and over. At least Miz was something different that they tried.

I think it all would have been better if Roman Reigns turned on Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins instead of Seth turning on Dean & Roman. If Roman was the top, hand picked heel for the Authority, he would have The Authority to talk for him & he wouldn't have to cut promos that are supposed to be funny. Plus his somewhat limited moveset could be protected by the constant interference from The Authority. Seth could be the Jeff Hardy babyface with the flashy offense. Like Loss said. Then when he's doing babyface offense, at least it would make sense. I feel like Triple H is trying to make Seth into the new Triple H and it just doesn't fit, for me. He's just going to keep shoving him out there, even if the crowd doesn't accept it.
  21. I'm still waiting on Rick Rude.

Cena Vs. Rusev would be fun. I imagine we'll get Rusev Vs. Ryback though. Triple H Vs. Sting is gonna happen. I still figure it'll be Rollins Vs. Orton. Reigns or Bryan is winning the Rumble, I imagine. Dunno which still. I dunno if Brock will still be Champ come 'Mania. They could easily just put it back on Cena. I don't think 'Taker will wrestle. Even if WWE want to "get their moneys worth." Don't think anyone would care about a hobbled 'Taker beating Bray Wyatt. Daniel Bryan Vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Worldheavyweight Title as the Wrestlemania main event? Maybe. Maybe Roman Reigns instead of Daniel. Maybe John Cena instead of Brock. Reigns Vs. Cena main event? Eh... I don't think even WWE know what they want to do yet.
  23. Worked for Cryme Tyme, I guess.

If Reigns was a top guy that didn't talk at all, he might get more over. I imagine people are tired of opening 15 minute dialogues every week. Of course, if he didn't talk, Triple H would just come out & run him down for 15 minutes every week instead, so nothing would change...
  25. Chris Jericho in WWF is a big one for me too. I loved him in WCW as the Cruiserweight coward, with lame jokes & swarmy rules enforcement. In WWF, he just constantly disappoints me. I never saw him as a top guy. His matches left a lot to be desired for me. I even remember him going off online over people not praising a PPV match of his with, I believe, Rob Van Dam. Plus, his whole babyface run with the awful catchphrases was cringe-worthy. Remember when Planet of the Apes came up and him Stephanie McMahon in the face with pies? That was during a Jericho segment. The only thing that comes to mind that I remember liking Jericho doing in WWE is when he hit Shawn Michaels in the face with his obesely expensive Jeritron 5,000 on The Highlight Reel. Whenever he comes back nowadays, which seems like all the time, I'm more disappointed than excited.
