  1. I don't even know what to say to that, Loss. I like Triple H more than most people. I think he's a good worker that harshly gets shit on. I think that he has a passion and a great love for the business. That being said, I've heard about Punk coming into WWE as well. I just don't know how it's going to work. Last I heard, Punk was trying to bulk up. He won't be able to use the majority of his moves, especially the Pepsi Plunge. I don't know how well his tattooes will go over. I doubt WWE will let him keep the "Straight Edge" gimmick. I just don't know what to think. I guess if Triple H likes him, politically, it'll play out good for Punk. Of course, if Punk is stuck with some Simon Dean type shit, it's not going to matter anyway.
  2. I've actually had a conversation with someone that didn't like Samoa Joe. His argument was that Joe was stiff and that wasn't what wrestling should be all about. I tried to counter-argue that it was just a different style. He also didn't like Low Ki. So, then we moved from Joe's stiff style to his look. He didn't like his look because he said he was flabby and only looked big when next to indy workers. I couldn't very well argue that. He does look small when next to someone like Billy Gunn. Of course, he has great stamina and is samoan, so his physical appearance shouldn't matter when he brings the workrate.
  3. Well, I think the biggest problem is that everyone looks at wrestling as a phony sport. So, if they were to legitimize it, in a Ring of Honor sort of way, that could be a good step. Of course, Vince doesn't want to have to pay sports taxes, thus we get "sports entertainment." Instead of it being portrayed like boxing, it's portrayed like a circus. Instead of press conferences and number one contenders, we get soap operas and "divas." I think if it were to become a statistical sport, that could help. People love to crunch numbers for other sports such as baseball but none of that shit matters in wrestling because it's worked. I mean, we don't have anything in wrestling, at least in WWE. No number one contenders or tale of the tape or any of that shit. We get whomever is getting the big push. You either like them or you don't. If you don't like them, you hate the product. If you do like them it's "OK." The redneck, white trash stereotypes and all of that shit could easily be erased. It'd just take making the product be displayed as more of a sporting exhibition. Of course, we know that's not going to happen. We get Big Vis ditching the ring announcer for hoes. We get Diva Boot Camp with staged wardrobe malfunctions.
  4. I'm really curious. I don't really know how much love people like Austin Aries or Alex Shelley would get. I'm not sure where Samoa Joe or CM Punk or Low Ki would rank, if at all. How about American Dragon, Christopher Daniels or Homicide? It'll be interesting to see. Without Puro or Lucha or WWE, who's names sprout to the top?

  6. I just want to point out that Trish acting like a dog wasn't distasteful to me and, in fact, I found it hot. Not because she was barking like a dog but because she was scantily clad and crawling on all fours.
  7. If the Dudleyz lose to the Heavenly fuckin' Bodies, I'm not voting anymore.
  8. I don't even know what to think, if Cornette gets fired. What will WWE do with OVW? Where will Cornette go? Truthfully, it doesn't seem to have that big of an impact on me, personally, as a fan. I never get to watch OVW, so it seems like Cornette's mind for the business is, basically, being wasted. Maybe him getting fired from OVW would be a blessing in disguise? I don't think he'd fit in too well over at TNA. Truth be told, I haven't seen him in ROH either. Of course, if you guys say he's made an impact there in the past, I'm sure it's true. I can fantasize about Cornette and Heyman starting a new wrestling promotion that drives WWE down the tubes. Cornette could bring the southern, old-school feel and Heyman could bring the modern day entertainment. Of course, the two could never work together. I bet that company would have some grade A fucking tag team action though!
  9. The Hart Foundation I don't think this vote is a tough call. I grew up with the Hart Foundation and Bret could work circles around both Hardy Boyz. Neidhart played his powerhouse role well. The Hardy Boyz had memorable matches but they all involved gimmicks and Jeff killing himself. That's not wrestling. The Fabulous Freebirds Harlem Heat had a lot of success in WCW but I was never really fond of them. I loved the Freebirds though. They're my favorite tag team of all-time, so obviously this one is a no brainer. The Dudley Boyz My second favorite tag team of all-time. The best tag team finisher of all time. Terrific as heels. The Heaven Bodies were forgettable at best. The Brainbusters I love me some Nikita but he can't compete with two of the original Four Horsemen.
  10. I was under the impression that she asked for her release. She didn't want to be on the road and whatnot while she's pregnant. So, she's going to go home and start a family. WWE bought her contract out, so I'm sure she'll be well off. It doesn't seem cold to me at all. I mean, especially when you look at her character. There's not a lot she can do while pregnant. It makes sense.
  11. Yeah but professional wrestling isn't like other professions. It's full of shady characters and douches. Seriously, when backstage pranks and whatnot are the norm, what can you expect? It's a sleezy business. Finding shit in your bag is a common occurance!
  12. I've been on the JBL bandwagon for a couple of months now. I like the character. I think he's an underrated worker too. He's a real good brawler.
  13. Rockers Steiners MVC Midnight Express
  14. The more I think about this, the more I want Brock back. I don't know if I really want to see Brock/Batista collide though. I mean, Brock can wrestle and "Big Dave", well, he really can't. I mean, I like :krakken: don't get me wrong, but...he gets blown up. I liked him for his little manuerisms. Now that he's got the Big Gold Belt? I feel that all the little things that I liked about him are being exploited. I feel like a bandwagon jumper because everyone notices all the little things that I used to mark out for. Like his "guns" during his entrance or the way that he climbs the stairs. Brock, on the other hand, he's a hoss with workrate. That's a rare breed in itself. I'll just be glad to see him back. Smackdown sure could use him. Of course, I wish 'Taker wasn't still around. I never feel that Smackdown can have a real "top dog" as long as 'Taker's in the yard. Both kayfabe and not. No matter who you are, you still have to be scared of the Deadman.
  15. I think so. Especially since the Jarretts are seemingly being pushed out of TNA and it's being funded by Panda Energy. Is WWE and Vince going to randomly contact Panda Energy and say they want to help "for the better of the business." Seems a bit too far fetched for me. With ECW, they seemed to at least have been able to deal with Heyman, right? I want to see fucking Bob Holly on this list before it's all said and done with. Especially with Brock Lesnar coming back.
  16. I can't believe that The Dudley Boys are gone. If TNA gets on Spike TV, their tag team division is going to be sick. The Dudleys Vs. The Hardys to pull in viewers. Then The Naturals, Team Canada and AMW can get involved in the mix. There's a lot of cats that can help the X-Division too. I'm curious if TNA can afford this many people at once. Obviously they'll want the Dudleys.
  17. Yeah, that's what I meant. I got the names confused.
  18. Jesse Ventura would still be doing color commentary. Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan wouldn't talk funny. Hogan wouldn't show up for pops. Kayfabe would still be alive and well.
  19. Midnight Express Demolition Road Warriors Rock & Roll Express I think these are all pretty straight-forward picks. Seemed to be an easy round for me.
  20. I think it's interesting that as soon as Kevin Dunn leaves the writing team Triple H gets taken off of TV.
  21. Damnit, I don't give a shit what anyone says, Maven was good! Just look at what he has done in the four years that he's been in WWE. I mean, physique wise and wrestling wise. He had got a lot better. In fact, he was even my most improved wrestler. This really disappoints me. Moreso because I don't think any Indy fed will be interested in him, so he'll probably get out of the business. He even played his role with Simon Dean well, and that was a dead end gimmick. He started using the Lung Blower as a finisher but no one watches Heat so no one got to see it. It even seemed as if he was improving on the microphone. He never really got a fair chance. He could've been something. He had a good look.
  22. Ah, I see where you're coming from now. Isn't Smackdown the hip-hop show? Afterall, it's on UPN. Seriously though, what could they possible do? WWE is ran by a bunch of crusty, old, white dudes. The company is out of touch with it because they are out of touch with it. Just like congress. I remember rolling my eyes when everyone got all up in arms because Kevin Garnett called himself a soldier. *slaps head*
  23. I'm saying that they can still have it, and still seem trendy for having it, but have the other shit too, so they can reach out and relate to more people. I know that wrestling seems to have a big, redneck stigma attached to it. Where's the country music? Why doesn't a wrestler from Texas come out to some Conway Twitty or Kenny Chesney?
  24. Please, no. If anything, they need MORE music genres, not less. Keep the hip-hop, like Trish's theme and keep the generic Nu-Metal like what they use for PPV's. Add in more stuff too though. Get some Techno, some straight, hard, rap...not Cena rap. They've used everything from Rob Zombie to Lil' Kim to Alter Bridge, so they should either branch out more or just go back to WWE produced music only. Whoa. I wish I would've thought of that. That's tremendous.
  25. I don't know what to think of it. I mean, it does seem to go against what his character has been preaching all this time. He's trying to hammer home that he's discriminated against simply because he's an arab-american and everyone thinks he's a terrorist. Now he does this, so.... Oh well, I'm all for UT catchin' a beat down.
