I'm not seeing the problem. Gibson should be rewarded for his hardwork. This is actually good news to me. I don't think it shines a bad light on ROH. Who cares if Gibson is WWE bound again?

I can't wait to see the match list! Here's to hoping that his Wrestlemania match with Piper and his IC title match at Wimbley with Bulldog both make it. Not to mention the Owen Tribute Match with Benoit in WCW.

I did. My reasoning is because I have more experience with WCW than pre-WCW era wrestling from TBS. I mean, I'm only twenty-three years old. I didn't start watching wresting outside of Hulk Hogan for a few years. I feel I wouldn't be able to partake in the festivities if you were talking about people, like the Fantastics, whom I don't know anything about.

MASTERLOCK CHALLENGE! Chris Masters bets $10,000 that no one can break his Masterlock. Big Show bets $10,000 that he can! Winner pockets $10k of the others money! It's gold!

So, I assume that this means Austin Aries won the internet vote? That's cool. He's who I voted for. I've never liked AMW or the Naturals. So, I don't care about that match. I can't understand Lance Hoyt being popular. I assume it's like the Pounce. The fans get behind it in a sort of sarcastic way so that it catches on. The NAO will probably be back together by the end of the night. They've been teasing it forever. Jerry Lynn is back wrestling again? It's about time. Waltman has been bringing the goods lately too. Too bad I still hate his ass. Shocker does nothing but botch spots. He also has a terrible look. I don't know why he had so much hype for his debut a few months back. He's yet to do anything to impress me. He's just another Amazing Red to me. Styles Vs. Joe? Holy crap, I'm at least downloading this show now. Raven/Sabu Vs. Rhyno/Jarrett? Needs less Sabu & Jarrett. I will agree that it does look like a good show on paper though. Let's hope it hits big and everyone brings their A game. TNA, so far, has been pretty good, well above average, for their PPV's.

I think we'll see the return of both Trish Stratus and Brock Lesnar.
-
I don't know how that would pan out. It could be a blessing in disguise or a disaster waiting to happen. I'd probably not get involved just for fear of something coming up and getting banned. I've lost internet for a week before, in example. No warning. No solutions from my ISP other than "we can send a tech. out next Monday." Actually, I don't know. It might be worth the risk just to be able to see all of the footage and express your opinion. I probably would go for it. DVD's don't cost that much and neither does postage.

Vince McMahon is a former World Champion. I'll leave it at that.

I think for the group of posters that we have here at NMB we should go with best match. Matches can easily be argued...especially if the general consensus rates two matches the same. Anything else, it all comes down to workrate. How could we run an ECW tournament and have people like The Sandman and New Jack in it? They were big deals in ECW, but here, people like Danny Doring and JT Smith would get more votes. No one looks past the workrate. "Name me good matches they were in."

Wouldn't it be wild to see Mysterio be the one to end Undertaker's Wrestlemania winning streak? Of course, that'll probably be saved for Randy Orton, we'll see. I do like the idea of Mysterio being build up by having an Armbar type submission finisher though.

Man, there's SO many matches on there that I either haven't seen or am dying to see. Call me "big jealous."

You know, I've never even cared enough about the "Montreal Screwjob Incident" to even think about how it made me feel. It happened so long ago that I don't even remember all of the details. I watched "Wrestling with Shadows" years ago, but that wasn't a very even look at the situation. It seemed to have a bias towards Bret's side. I don't know which side of the fence I'd favor, and I don't really want to think about it, still, to this day. That shit happened years ago and should've been put to rest at that time too. Bret and WWE are both at fault for fueling the beast this damn long. I get tired of hearing WWE mention the screwjob everytime they go to Canada. I also get tired of reading Bret whining about the shit on the internet. Then, in turn, both of those events feul the e-fans and all the forums blow up with more "I agree with Bret" and "I agree with Vince" posts. I'll be damn glad if they finally did pull out the knife.

That's great. Man, this would've made a great song for Muhammad Hassan. Well, minus the vulgar language on Spike TV.

Here's another random question: Does anyone know what Homicide's entrance music in RoH is?

Alright. Can you provide me with the URL or e-mail address to any of the aforementioned contacts? Perhaps ask for me if you already have an account at either of those places?

If he does, I'm sure it'd be in Japanese....

I remember reading about Lance Storm's diet and workout program. Is there anyway that I could find the same info for Kenta Kobashi?
-
I believe the problem was when he tried to have his insurance cover it. Anyway, I'll be happy to see them both back, although it mean their workrate will have to drop again. Actually, I don't know if this will effect me as a fan because they're going to WWE as much as it will because they're leaving ROH. I might be done with WWE. I couldn't even finish Raw on Monday it was so bad. The GAB sucked the like out of me. Raw poured salt in the open sores.

Chris Jericho is expected to be gone from the WWE within 6 weeks, with SummerSlam being his last show. Jericho has a multitude of gigs booked for his band, Fozzy, including a ten-day tour of the UK in October. -- Wrestling Observer Newsletter (blatantly copy & pasted from TSM) This seems like big news to me. Jericho is still a HUGE name in this business. If he's going to go fulltime with Fozzy, obviously TNA isn't in his cards. Not to mention, after he was done touring or whatever, I'm sure he'd choose to go back to WWE before TNA. Still, "what if?"

Shit, with Smackdown going to Friday's and the UPN deal running out, and UPN telling WWE they can't use Hassan, Brock is too good for fucking Smackdown. I think WWE SHOULD shit on Smackdown. Let the shit end instead of sending Brock there to flounder like everyone else. I do agree that Brock is a better heel than face...but it doesn't really matter. He could be more like a tweener and just decimate everyone. I don't think a whole lot of people care about Benoit being in top programs.
-
You're crazy if you don't think Brock will be coming back as a face. All returning superstars get the return pop. WWE should capitalize on that. Let Lesnar be a face for awhile. Then all the people you said he won't feud with, he could. Also, if he was a face, he could be the one to break the Masterlock. HBK, HHH, Y2J, Angle, & Edge. Hell, he could even throw around The Big Show some more, although Show is kinda face right now.
-
I'd rather he was on Raw. There's nothing for him on Smackdown. They can build to Lesnar/Batista without them being on the same show. We've already seen Lesnar against Undertaker. What else is there? No one cares about JBL/Lesnar or Orton, Christian, Booker T. Vs. Lesnar.
-
I had to stop watching Raw last night. It was just too much to take. I quit watching right around the one hour mark. I got to see HBK come out and talk and the last thing I saw was the announcement of the Eugene Invitational next week. Just when I thought the shitty Angle Invitational was over. I knew that the Diva slop was still to come, I didn't care about another gimmick match between Kane/Edge. Ugh. I think I'm done with Raw. I'll prolly still download Smackdown and catch a "B" show every now and then. It's not like Smackdown is much better though. Especially since they killed off my favorite wrestler. Other than that, I'm sticking to ROH downloads and waiting for TNA to hit Spike TV. Actually, I think I'm more excited for the second season of Ultimate Fighter.

Gimmicks that didn't work you think could work now

Man, I remember watching a Spivey match against Lex Luger in early 90's WCW. They were trying so hard to get Luger over. Spivey hit him with EVERYTHING. A Piledriver, A Tombstone, A DDT...just every damn move he could think of. Luger just kicked out of it all like it was nothing then went on to win the match. That's when I knew that Spivey wasn't going to have a career.
