Weird to give Riddle a loss here. Felt like they were building him up to be a big deal & I don't think this win helps Balor any. I assume it'll continue but that took a lot of wind out of the Riddle sails. I mean, he just beat him clean in the middle with his finish. Didn't cheat or anything. Very odd.

The Spear/Jackhammer should have been the finish. Especially if Riddle winds up going over anyway.

This match is doing nothing for me so far yet either. I think the women just set the bar too high from the jump. And I like Matt Riddle.

A lot harder to take Finn seriously now with those goofy as fuck tattoos.

Match was at least five if not ten minutes too long but whatever.

Damian Priest using the Razor's Edge as a near fall is almost as wack as Okada using a Tombstone to set-up the Rainmaker.

The craziest thing about that women's match to me is that Toni Storm & all the main roster people like Sasha, Becky, Charlotte, etc. weren't in it. The women's division in WWE/NXT is super deep with talent. Rhea Ripley is going to main event Wrestlemania some day. It wouldn't surprise me. It's crazy that she's only 23 years old.

Man, the women should have been the main event. I can't imagine anything is going to follow that. That match did a great job of making Rhea. Also showcased Io & Candice. Plus Dakota. That's just good pro-wrestling. Great match, great story & leaves you with question marks going forward. That's how you're supposed to do it.

I don't like that they have the metal in-between the two rings instead of the gap. The gap has made for really interesting spots in the past!

It's a weird dichotomy for myself. On the one hand, it feels like a lot of the women's firsts that WWE are doing are forced & thus, inorganic. On the other hand, I care more about women in WWE now than I ever have, so it must be working on some level. Like, Becky Lynch feels like the biggest star in the company right now. Her showing up in NXT again felt like a big deal. I have more interest in the women's War Games than anything else. But at the same time, much like Hell in a Cell or Royal Rumble, we're to the point now where the gimmick match shows have to have one for each sex & that feels awkward, forced & like Survivor Series "brands," not needed. I just miss having blow off gimmick matches that make sense in the story instead of a gimmick match happening because it is that time of year.

There's not a thread for it yet as the show isn't until tomorrow but Survivor Series sounds like a shit show this year. The matches, especially the brand supremacy elimination matches, feel absolutely pointless. Half of those motherfuckers have only been on their "brand" for a couple of weeks anyway. Why would they give a shit to make Smackdown look better than NXT or whatever? It doesn't make any sense. It's horrible booking where the fans are supposed to care about the brands, which feels more like what the rich, white billionaire owner fantasizing about than what reality is. This shit never works because the damn brands don't work & I don't understand why WWE keeps going back to that well. It sucks. At least with the NXT roster being involved we get some fresh matchups. There's some intrigue there with things like Shayna Vs. Becky or Keith Lee mixing it up with main roster guys but there's so many elimination multiperson matches & 3-way matches it just feels like a clusterfuck.

I mentioned something about this on Twitter the other day just thinking out loud. People love Jay Lethal. Everyone was on ACH's side until he made a negative remark about Jay Lethal. Then they turned on ACH. Taeler Hendrix made those claims against Jay Lethal & they were largely ignored except by those people that verbally attacked her & the story just went away. Now you have people like Joey Mercury & BJ Whitmer talking about ROH & alluding to sexual allegations & misconduct. I can't help but think back to Taeler again. Maybe where there's smoke there's fire & Jay Lethal - among others - should be questioned?

I'm not positive about this, someone like Rovert can correct me, but I think leaked messages were posted that were shown that showed ROH brass calling Hikuleo a waste of money or something. The sad thing for me about ROH is that whenever you see this thread bumped now, you know it's always bad news.

Becky Vs. Rhea, Revival showing up then Ricochet Vs. Riddle. Def. not fucking around tonight. And AEW opened hot with Fenix/Jackson but now they have Britt on.

Opening with Becky Lynch felt like a big deal. Rhea coming out was also an "oh shit" moment. That was pretty cool.
