  1. I'll say this about Joey Janella: I'd take him over damn near everyone that wrestled in XPW & I watched more XPW shows than I should probably admit. Compared to people like Supreme, Joey Janella looks like Terry Funk.
  2. Are the Midnight Express even in yet? They need to put the Steiners in too. Would love to see Scott Norton get acknowledged with the nWo but that's probably a pipe dream.
  3. Don't worry about gaps, TTK. You can only judge what you've seen/experienced. Just like the PWO Top 100. I didn't have like any Lucha guys on my list. I think Cody/Dustin is the top of my list right now but I think the women's Wargames from NXT TakeOver is in my top 5. I guess I'm a mark for storytelling. There's quite a few New Japan matches on my list, some of which I'll have to re-watch: Omega/Tanahashi, Ospreay/Shingo, Ospreay/Okada. I didn't love the Starr/Devlin match, wasn't blown away by WALTER/Bate & actively disliked Cole/Gargano. Gallagher/Gable felt like just an above average TV match to me. I just watched Omega/Dragon Lee yesterday & the camera shit killed the match.
  4. Koko B. Ware was at an unfair disadvantage! President Jack Tunney knew that it was impossible to get Yokozuna into the Ghostbuster! Tunney was in cahoots with Mr. Fuji! Years later, in an attempt to right their wrong, WWE were forced to induct Koko B. Ware into the WWE Hall of Fame to make amends for their wrongdoings.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if the Acension broke-up with Viktor going solo & Connor being on the outside looking in. He's just not very good.
  6. Great news for professional wrestling fans. Get to see two talented individuals take their abilities elsewhere with a chance to show what WWE wouldn't allow them to show. I actually didn't mind Hunico during his NXT run when he had Camacho as his bodyguard. I haven't ever really gotten into him as the next Sin Cara though. Would be cool to see him show up in MLW. Luke Harper, going back to Brodie Lee, and working non-WWE promotions is just going to be all sorts of fun. I don't know where he'll go, maybe Japan, or AEW... hell maybe even Impact, but there's a lot of fresh match-ups that he could do that would be super fun. Lancer Archer Vs. Brodie Lee would be sweet. So would Ishii/Lee. I imagine he'll end up with the same sort of deal that Moxley has where he's doing both Japan and more. Obviously he's not going to get Moxley money but I do hope to see him pop-up a lot more now. He has size about him which is sorely lacking elsewhere too. Especially with WWE signing up Keith Lee, Walter & Dijakovic.
  7. Truth be told, kind of glad. Always thought he was bland & don't really have any interest in watching him in MLW. And the last thing the industry needs is another nutcase. LOL @ the internet tough guy routine though. "You wouldn't say it to muh face!" OK, dude...
  8. I think that I am over the Wednesday Night Wars already. This past Wednesday, for the first time, I didn't watch either shows. I had other things going on... and I didn't feel like I missed anything. I got caught up on anything that happened thanks to social media & none of it jumped out at me as something that I needed to go out of my way to watch. AEW is the new thing but they're not doing a lot of wrestling that grabs my attention. I don't think it's for me, as a fan. I like a lot of the stuff they do that's non-wrestling, I think Cody & Jericho are both really good as entertainers & storytellers, but I don't care about hardly anything AEW does in-ring. NXT is the opposite. They're pretty good about the in-ring but it's all the storytelling & non-wrestling segments that they struggle with. A lot of their characters feel bland & lifeless & just have matches that blend together. Adam Cole is a perfect example of this. So Wednesday night TV to me is no longer can't miss. And I gave up on RAW & Smackdown awhile ago. I'll still catch PPVs but I don't think I care about any televised wrestling right now. Anything important will be clipped & posted on Twitter & I don't have to watch 4-hours of TV each week. It's just... so much easier. I hope AEW catches fire soon because it feels like their buzz is going in the wrong direction. At least NXT feels like it's gaining some momentum... I just don't know if they'll keep it with Survivor Series over. I highly doubt WWE will continue to use RAW or Smackdown to talk about, let alone put over, NXT.
  9. Just put him on your ignore list & move on with your life. Not worth the time.

    WWE Hidden Gems

Personally, I'm waiting for all of WCW Saturday Night. Including during the Monday Night Wars era, when it was no longer the A-Show. I've seen very few of those shows from that era. I would be down for WCW Worldwide as well. That's not really "Hidden Gems" related but now I'm worried about all classic content.
  11. So tonight is apparently not only the season finale, but also the last episode of Power before the Into the Fire PPV. So we probably find out the rest of the card for that show tonight. Here's my question: I've seen multiple people refer to Into the Fire as "sold out" - how many tickets sold? How big of an audience are we talking about? Are they just talking about the like 200 tickets for that studio? Where is the PPV even being held at?
  12. It's not a match but just for the comedic aspect, I would put his segment with William Regal reading Hamlet
  13. How about ex-wife & new black boyfriend file a restraining order against ex-husband & cops arrest the black guy instead? That happened last night. "We do things differently in Tennessee, pal!"

    WWE Hidden Gems

Well, if the run is indeed over, I'm thankful for what we did get. Specifically, the Last Battle of Atlanta.
  15. There's no way anyone backstage thought that Lana segment was successful, right?
  16. I marked hard as fuck for the Sheamus return promo. Old look & everything. Please come back & start booting these geeks in the damn head.
  17. JR can make good moments great but he can't make mediocre moments good. His disinterest comes through. Which, I mean, that's fair. He's seen a lot of shit. Going from calling Stone Cold at Wrestlemania to calling an undercard Joey Janella match isn't going to spark a lot of motivation. Sometimes he comes off aloof & ignorant of the product though, which that is definitely on him. I mean there's a big difference between not knowing who a debuting tag team are & messing up the names of people that have been there the whole time. When Ross channels his old WCW announcing & starts talking about motivations for main eventers & their credentials he's still really damn good. But sometimes he gets hung up on things like Jungle Jack or Riho weighing 98 lbs and he just beats a dead horse.
  18. Watching this MLW on Thanksgiving show & it's very unremarkable so far. Injustice are not good. The Priscilla Kelly beatdown was not good. This King Mo promo is not good. Not a great start, for sure. And the main event is Fatu against the other Von Erich that didn't get the pipe to the knee. The heel turn in the main event, although telegraphed, was fun. Will make Fusion more interesting going forward. Also, this is the best moment of 2019:
  19. They should put it on Keith Lee & have him run through anyone that weighs 225 or under.
  20. Jim Ross on commentary reminds me of a Bill Burr stand-up comedy bit. Just waiting on his box full of stuff from his desk moment.
  21. She doesn't let her gender get in her way. God bless her!
  22. I hope MJF puts the ring on before punching people to knock them out. Like Regal used to do with the Brass Knuckles. Could be a cool little heel thing.
  23. I like that AEW is introducing me to people I'm not familiar with. It's weird they do it in a way where they think the crowd is going to react with a big pop. They definitely need to explain who some of these people are more. Especially if Excalibur on commentary is pretending he already knows everyone. I dig the look of The Blade & The Butcher. So I hope we learn more & soon. Hope that Suplex into Lungblower isn't their finish though. That was... not impressive. It's weird how AEW feels like it's more my speed when I don't love a lot of the wrestling style they try to push. But like all the Jericho stuff has been great to me. They do entertaining, non-wrestling stuff a lot. That's where NXT really fails.
  24. I hope they at least try to explain who the fuck The Butcher & The Blade are at some point...
  25. ...wow. "Freddie Mercury never looked so oriental. Asian. Female!" Thanks, Jim. Ross this time, not Cornette.
