Original file wasn't mixed properly. So anyone who downloaded it already will need to re-download the fixed file. Sorry about that -

Episode 51 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-51 March 26, 1983 (WCCW 65) Epic show for the boys to discuss this week, one of the best yet, featuring... -Jose Lothario (full retrospective episode on his career next week, fans!) vs Gorgeous Jimmy in a really good match -Bill Mercer going all hard-hitting journalist at the headquarters of Devastation Inc. -A wild, and rarely discussed, showdown between Kevin/Kerry vs Hayes/Gordy Von Erich's vs Freebirds keeps getting hotter and hotter and this territory is officially on FIRE! World Cast: Don't accept inferior substitutes! -
Funny thing about Warrior and Kerry is that when Kerry debuted as the Texas Tornado I can remember a friend of mine telling me that he was really Warrior without makeup. I wasn't watching much wrestling at the time and didn't know he meant Kerry because he just called him "Texas Tornado". When I finally saw him wrestle a few months later I realized my friend had no idea what he was talking about, but he had probably already figured that out anyway

I fell in love with Silver Age Marvel through Lee-Ditko Spidey reprints from Marvel Tales in the 80s and it is really still my favorite era all these years later. Every time I lost interest in what was going on in comics I would go back to Lee-Ditko and Lee-Kirby and continue to dig deeper. So much great stuff

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Ricky Jackson replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I really liked Hogan vs Sting as well. I think it's the last TNA match I ever saw. Kinda underrated as a great moment. I believe it was Hogan's last singles match and it attempted to capture a Hogan vs Rock vibe, while also in a way righted the wrong of Starrcade 97. Hogan getting one last huge pop from the Philly crowd was great -
Check out Lothario vs Bugsy McGraw from ep 13 (3/20/82) of WCCW on the Network. Killer little match

This episode is dedicated to Jose Lothario. RIP Episode 50 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-50 March 19, 1983 (WCCW 64) More fun TV for the boys to review this week, including -Jake Roberts' mysterious trip to Texas wrestling as THE TEXAN -The Iceman cometh...and Buddy Roberts goeth in 4 seconds -Everyone's favorite #7 babyface, Mike Bond! -And a big time main event for the Texas title between David Von Erich and Not Jimmy Jam Garvin -
That's from Stampede and I would guess a classic Bruce Hart line
-
Oney Lorcan is God. Sweet fuck that tag this week was great
-
Yeah, Abby was awesome, one of the most real characters in wrestling history. What was he supposed to do, wrestle like Ric Flair?
-
Sane vs Baszler was great but the ref missing all the interference bugged me as someone who is a bit anal about logic

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4

No clue, but of the two front row PPV uber WWE fans with apparently unlimited travel budgets, I prefer him to green shirt, goatee guy -

David Manning -David/Kevin vs Roberts/Gordy: Wild tag encounter that brings out the Rattlesnake in Kevin -

Episode 48 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-48 March 5, 1983 (WCCW 62) SURELY getting destroyed by the Great Yatsu is finally, totally, without doubt the end for Good Ol' Al. Must be a bitch to pack up all that Elvis memorabilia. Also on the show... -Oh no, a NEW Kabuki music video -"The Kamala" is coming -Iceman Parsons continues to impress, as do Gorgeous Jimmy and Sunshine -And David vs "The Third Bird" Buddy Roberts in the main event! -
Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard
Ricky Jackson replied to Lust Hogan's topic in Publications and Podcasts
I've requested it multiple times. Come on admins, do some admining -
Legendary big man known for great athleticism for someone his size. Mainly forgotten to time, as he last wrestled in 1980 and there isn't a ton of footage. He was a major star 50s-70s. Meltzer gives a brief overview of his career here. I'm sure the bio in the WON will be really good https://www.f4wonline.com/other-wrestling/mormon-giant-don-leo-jonathan-passes-away-267841

Yeah, part of an MSG show that was on 24/7 I think

World Cast What If...?: WWE Hidden Gems 2 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-what-if-wwe-hidden-gems-2 The latest Hidden Gems drop on the Network got the boys excited (well, more Pete and Kelly than Johnny) so they decided to take another brief break from WCCW to talk about it. This drop is all about famous "shooters" in wrestling, looking at... -Karl Gotch/Rene Goulet vs The Rugged Russians 1/22/72 Boston Garden -Danny Hodge/Jos LeDuc vs Pak Song/Toru Tanaka 11/12/74 Florida -Billy Robinson vs Rick Martel 5/19/83 Winnipeg Arena -Nobuhiko Takada vs Athol Foley 8/12/83 Stampede -Lou Thesz vs Wild Bill Longson 6/17/52 Sportatorium, Dallas A great time was had by all, and if you love random history talk about all kinds of wrestling legends and territories, this is basically the only podcast you will need to listen to for the rest of 2018 (excluding more World Cast of course...and eventually the Mount Olympus 1966 special...and all the great shows on ProWrestlingOnly.com...but other than that, nothing else) -
First ep of the second round kicked ass, one of my favorite wrestling shows of the year. Satomura winning made me pop like a kid again. Kacy had a star making performance. Some really good talent on display here
-
Yeah, stairs with rail was unique to the Boston Garden
-
Yeah, they were the tag champs at that point. It was a short reign and I believe it only lasted another week or so, losing to the Baron and Iaukea Edit: Actually, if the date on the MSG show is correct, they dropped the straps the very next day in Philly
-
Pretty sure the MSG match is new. Also excited for Thesz vs Longson and Danny Hodge footage
