  1. Cool. Thanks for finally solving that mystery
  2. And yes, based on what I've seen of him around that time he was still pretty good
  3. Yeah, but he was fucking Lou Thesz
  4. I dunno, I found the 9/1/73 card on Wrestlingdata and it lists Thesz vs Valentine https://www.wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=shows&show=158040
  5. WWE dating something wrong is as much a certainty as death and taxes
  6. Oh man, that Valentine vs Thesz match could be awesome
  7. One of the most underrated top stars in wrestling history IMO. He was also huge in California in the 60s. Definitely one of the greatest draws in the history of NYC wrestling. As for matches, the one that dropped on the Network vs Blackjack Mulligan, his first title defense at MSG, is a great representation of how over Pedro was in that city. Just crazy nuclear heat. In the early 80s he had great matches at MSG with Patera, Slaughter and the Texas Death with Muraco, but he also had plenty of stinkers during that time. He also rocked the iconic, one of a kind, two-toned orange trunks night in night out. He must've had dozens of pairs lol. RIP
  8. Oh yeah, anyone like yourself who has been following us since the Titans days should love this one
  9. Here are the two shows. The first one is mis-dated, it's actually from May 6, 1965
  10. World Cast What If...?: WWWF 1965-1966 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-what-if-wwwf-1965-1966 This episode is dedicated to former WWWF Champion, Pedro Morales. RIP Pete is at the SCI Rumble, so Kelly and Johnny decide to watch something about as far removed from that as you can get, WWWF TV from 1965 and 1966! On the docket tonight: May 6, 1965 Washington, DC Cowboy Bill Watts vs Thomas Marin Chief Big Heart vs Tony Newberry Argentina Apollo vs Bob Boyer Steve "Mr. America" Stanlee vs Chief White Owl January 27, 1966 Washington, DC Arnold Skaaland & Antonio Pugliese vs Angelo Savoldi & Tony Altimore The Beast (w. Bobby Davis) vs Pete Sanchez Ron Etchison vs Smasher Sloan Some highlights include: -Wrestler Bio-A-Go-Go (Eleven in total!) -How many Native American gimmicks in one territory is too many? -The state of the WWWF in the mid 60s -Johnny Sorrow's American Facts, 1965-1966 edition -And much, much more!
  11. I would also like to know this. The worst thing about watching WCCW chronologically and being in early 1983 is knowing Mercer and occasionally Lowrance are basically as good as it is ever going to get in the booth
  12. Just heard this. I'm at work, so I'll comment more later. Huge star during his peak years in the 60s and early 70s

  14. These two matches back to back were the most fun I've had watching wrestling so far this year
  15. Fuck you. Your ass was banned once and you should be shown the door again
  16. rovert, if you found that post hostile then I think you've got a persecution complex or something

Drew Gulak vs Eric Bugenhagen from this week's NXT is my working MOTY
  20. Episode 58 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-58 May 21, 1983 (WCCW 73) A red hot main event between Kevin Von Erich and Terry Gordy for the American title highlights an otherwise humdrum episode of WCCW. But as experienced podcasters, the boys know how to make this shit sound awesome... -Yatsu shows no respect to Montreal LEGEND Butcher Vachon -The never-ending, globe spanning WAR between Chris Adams and the Mongol continues, and nobody cares -Pete's favorite wrestler Johnny Mantell returns, but he's no Good Ol' Al -And best of all, no Bill Mercer this week!
  21. It wasn't really intended as a criticism even if it reads as such. I'm a big NXT fan. It served its purpose. It was just express line NXT that's all
  22. 100 mph spotfest- o- rama. Basically a highlights video as a match

Sky Pirates are my new favorite thing in wrestling
  24. Yeah, I've found that super annoying too
  25. https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-57 Episode 57 May 14, 1983 (WCCW 73) The boys return to the Sportatorium for a fun show from the WCCW crew, featuring... -A thorough discussion about Jimmy Garvin as a performer in the 1980s -Chris Adams goes for tea with Bill Mercer, wrestles, and makes the save in two matches! -What the heck is Butcher Vachon doing here? -Kamala is God damn CANNIBAL and he thinks Jose Lothario is tasty -And a major angle between the Iceman and the Freebirds!
