Not sure if I will watch the entire thing. Last year's Mania pretty much killed my desire to watch main roster WWE for the rest of 2018, and I haven't really watched a ton in 2019 either. Will probably dip in and out between watching some old stuff with Shrike02. Main event and Bryan vs Kofi are my only must see matches, but following along with the PWO crew is also a fun way to get through the slog, so who knows, I may get sucked in like previous death march Mainia's. But I'm an old man, so please some of the new blood or those much more positive about the product hype this show up

Great show, but main event felt like the most bloated epic I've ever seen
-
Pretty hyped for this show, as not only does the card look great and the results seem mostly unpredictable (at least to me), but I'm also watching it with a bunch of local wrestling fan buddies. Should be a blast!

Episode 64 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-64 July 9, 1983 (WCCW 80) Another fun show for the boys to discuss this week... -Chris Adams and Johnny Mantell continue their quest to perfect the time limit draw scientific match -Chavo Guerrero returns and Rip Rogers drops in for a cup o' coffee -Mr. Ebony, the Mongol, and the less than impressive state of Devastation Inc. in the summer of 83 -And Kerry vs Gordy in a Lumberjack Match main event! -
Megaman was the name he also went by and would've been his name as a star if he hadn't been too crappy to be seriously pushed

Not sure how easily accessible outside of Canada it is, but the Kenny Omega doc that aired on TSN is really good -

Six matches, mostly of the non-international variety, are discussed... -Jose Lothario/Chris Adams/Chavo Guerrero vs. Mongol/Bill Irwin/(finally) FISHMAN -David Von Erich vs. Jimmy Garvin, Texas title -Iceman Parsons vs. Buddy Roberts, Hair vs. Hair -Kamala vs. Hussein/Yatsu/Bond -Kevin Von Erich vs. Harley Race, NWA title -Kerry Von Erich/Bruiser Brody vs. Michael Hayes/Terry Gordy, American tag titles Some fun matches, one great, and a super hot crowd made sure this was a blast to discuss. Don't miss this one, fans! -

And to show how their haphazard booking dulls the impact of things, they had Rey submit to Joe in a random four-way at the last PPV

I dont know how much of the show I'll watch. I was seriously contemplating boycotting entirely, but I do want to see the 3-way and Bryan vs Kofi. I'll probably watch most of the damned thing. A few beers and the thread on here usually make things fun

Meltzer's two part Destroyer bio, covering first his Japanese career and then his US career, is among his finest historical work. Really great stuff

Episode 62 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-63 June 18, 1983 (WCCW 77) The go-home show for International Star Wars provides the boys with a, shall we say, noteworthy episode to review. Highlights include... -Weird tag teams: Iceman/Johnny Mantell and Mongol/Buddy Roberts? Sure, why the heck not -Kevin Von Erich and his wacky fashion sense -Just when you thought cheesy gimmicks were a thing of the past, MR. EBONY says "hold my beer" -Terry Gordy vs Kerry Von Erich for the Brass Knucks title...and, oh my, what a freakin' AWESOME-looking title belt it is! -
There is some dying days 70s Detroit on here and I just threw on a random episode from 1978. How did I not know there was a masked wrestler named "Garth Vader"!?!?! Fucking awesome

As far as I can tell it's public domain stuff that's been out there in one form or another for years, but I also haven't explored the channel beyond a surface level glance

World Cast What The--?!: The Battle of Breakfast Cereal https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-what-the-the-battle-of-breakfast-cereal Johnny and Kelly take a walk on the weird side and check out a one-of-a-kind show put on by the AWA in 1989. Everybody ready for the BATTLE OF BREAKFAST CEREAL!?!?!? The Hyatt Hotel in Minneapolis is the site of one of the strangest shows in wrestling history. It's Kellogg's (aka the "Good Guys") vs. General Mills (the "Bad Guys") and all the stars are here: Nutra Rockne, Dr. K, Hondo the Honeybee Haymaker, Mr. Oat-portunity, and many more. Also, we get motivational speeches/crazed propaganda from genuine Kellogg's executives. It's pure insanity, folks. So grab a bowl of your favorite Kellogg's cereal, maybe some weed, curl up and watch the show on the Network, and then tune into the pod. It's all part of a balanced breakfast! -

Damn that sucks. Although it's somehow fitting the end of the feud is delayed by a Ciampa injury just as the beginning of feud was delayed by a Ciampa injury

World Cast: A WCCW Review

This episode is dedicated to King Kong ("Big Daddy") Bundy. RIP Episode 61 https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly/world-cast-62 June 11, 1983 (WCCW 76) The boys review one of the most well-regarded matches in WCCW history, a wild and unique 8-man elimination match between the Von Erich's/Iceman and the Freebirds/Jimmy Garvin! Also on the show... -Chris Adams hits a superkick off the TOP ROPE!!! (take that, 2019 wrestling) -Poolside with the 'Birds -Ken Johnson: The Man Who Doesn't Exist -And Kerry's mystery partner is revealed!...in the lamest possible way -
I'm presuming just a quick squash for a nice pop since Roman missed out being booked in a big match this year. At least I hope to God it will be

Bundy was great in 82-83 World Class. It was his first push and he came in as a babyface ("Big Daddy" Bundy from Alaska, complete with jeans and a rope belt) but soon turned heel and actually became quite good on promos right away. He was part of the main event mix the whole time and was involved in several big matches and angles. He also impressed me when revisiting his 80s WWF work in recent years. The Hogan injury angle was so well done and he was a major heel for them for most of his run. RIP I would also like to put out a call to the fine folks at this site for footage of a match between Bundy and Giant Baba from the 6/17/83 WCCW Star Wars card. The footage we do have of that show doesn't include that match but I thought maybe a Japanese film crew was there to film it for All Japan TV and it's out there somewhere. We are reviewing that show on World Cast shortly and would love to be able to pay tribute to Bundy by talking about that match. It was his last in the territory. Thanks
