[1992-10-17-SMW-TV] Rock & Roll Express and Mama Cornette
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Picture was silly but I did enjoy Cornette's reaction to the whole segment. Express outsmart Cornette here. He's emotional and agrees to have the Bodies put up the titles to defend his Mama. Armstrong is rather pleased to get this signed. Dutch looked to be wearing a mushroom on his head.- 10 replies

[1992-10-17-SMW-TV] Dirty White Boy and Tim Horner
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
DWB seems to having fun listening to these Wright interviews. Wright claims video of Horner threatening him was edited off TV. DWB runs his mouth about Horner who shows. When it looks like he will be restrained he goes on the attack against DWB. Great segment with Horner finally getting some of the physical advantage against DWB.- 10 replies

[1992-10-17-WCW-Saturday Night] Cactus Jack & The Barbarian training

Barbarian looked like a beast taking those shots from Cactus. He smashed a pumpkin made to be Simmons face with a kick.- 10 replies

[1992-10-17-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Bret Hart
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Gene was all rude at the beginning repeatedly trying to point out where Bret should start. Promo you expect from Bret thanking fans and family. Him thanking Flair was a bit odd. -
Both refs were sporting some fros. This felt like a race. They were moving so fast out there and hitting everything. Crazy looking submission in there that I liked. Very good match.

Didn't realize when watching this was Jumbo's last appearance. He had such a strong start to the year. Taue again looked pretty good. Nothing too special but a good match. Worthy to be included on yearbook for Jumbo's finale.

[1992-10-12-WWF-Saskatoon, SAS] Ric Flair vs Bret Hart
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Probably the best of Flair's matches from his WWF run. I'll have to look more closely at their Ironman match again. Great moment to see Bret win the title. Amazing to think this match was left for home video at the time. The commentary is pretty bad after repeated viewings of this I am able to somewhat tune them out. Part of me wonders why Perfect didn't interfere at the end since he was so close but him getting up on the apron and being pushed aside by the ref made for a good tease as Hart was able to get the submission. -
[1992-10-09-AAA-Sin Limite] Blue Panther vs Super Astro
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Astro reminds me of Dick Togo with being pretty agile for a guy his size. Didn't enjoy this as much as some of the other lucha from this year. Astro hits some strange looking flying headbutts. Second fall submission happened to quickly. Wish they added a bit more to that fall. Third fall was good but didn't like the finish much since they did the same pinfall exchange/reversal about a half a minute earlier.- 17 replies

[1992-10-10-WCW-Saturday Night] Contract Signing: Sting vs Jake Roberts
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Simple but effective segment. Roberts and Sting sign a contract to face each other but also contains a waiver to not hold WCW responsible for what could happen. What is a "Paradise of Darkness" match?- 9 replies

[1992-10-10-WCW-Saturday Night] Up Close w/Erik Watts
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Watts tries to say that he's following his own path and not trying to be the next Bill Watts. The clip of him in the ring didn't look too good. Weak looking finish to a match. But I guess it was his first match.- 9 replies

[1992-10-10-WCW-Saturday Night] Cactus Jack and Jake Roberts
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Cactus is very focused on the snake which is aggressively trying to bite Roberts the whole time. The last image of it with the foam mic top in its mouth was nice.- 10 replies

[1992-10-10-WCW-Saturday Night] Cactus Jack & The Barbarian training
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Ice Train keeps popping up in these year books and surprising me with how long he's been around. Cactus says Barbarian is prepared for Simmons powerslam move. He then takes four repeated bodyslams and gets up right away after each one. Cactus motivating the whole time really helps the overall segment.- 10 replies

Wright claims to have got hit with the bottle by Horner and a piece of glass got in his eye. Yeah, I do seem to remember that's what happened. For people like me who were not exposed much to DWB the yearbooks have been a treat to see how good of a promo guy he was.

[1992-10-10-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett vs The Moondogs
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
The empty seats was very visible. A DQ in an anything goes match is not the best finish. One of the Moondogs really bent the guard rail when he landed on it. -
Jumbo's hair wasn't as short as previous match he was involved in. Williams and Gordy are much better in AJPW than were in WCW. Just felt their matches weren't clicking with the fans in the States. Actually like Taue a lot in this match. He's being doing more with Jumbo slowing. He took some of Williams and Gordy's best shots and was nice to see him get the pinfall victory for his team.

[1992-10-04-PWFG-Stack of Arms] Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Zaour Chabadze
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Chabadze had a weird stance to start the match. Leaning in with his head and his arms down at this side. Was hoping for Fujiwara to headbutt him in the face.- 12 replies

Madusa was wearing Kwang's pants. Thought it was alright but felt the Steiners were really subdued. Good to see Eaton back as been a while on the yearbook but his contribution wasn't as much as his tag partners. Steiners weren't throwing around their opponents. Nice to see Scott does some extended selling though.
-
Armstrong didn't seem to concerned about Horner's health. He barely checked on him.
-
Great hat by Dutch. Stan Lane should wear one of those when he wrestles. Just felt that Horner didn't have the needed promo after what happened to him with the hanging. He gets a bottle to the face. Poor guy.

[1992-10-03-USWA-TV] Jerry Lawler vs The Moondogs (Handicap)
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Predictable finish here. Lawler would rather fight the Moondogs by himself than give up the titles. He takes a couple bones shots and gets pinned. Long running feud of these guys. -
[1992-10-03-USWA-TV] Interview: Junkyard Dog / Interview: Jim Duggan
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Yeah, he had no clue who he was coming in to face. -
I wanted to see more of Taz! JYD wasn't much help to Lawler during the match. Ferris Wheel made for a nice background visual.

[1992-10-03-WWF-Superstars] Bob Backlund feature / Interview: Razor Ramon
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in October 1992
Backlund coming back to WWF at 42 years old. They make it seem like he is 60 the way this was edited.
