Started off well with Nailz just beating on him with the night stick but was too unbelievable that nobody was coming to the aid of Boss Man since Nailz wasn't exactly a wrestler on the roster. You think they would be all over this guy coming out of the crowd and attacking a wrestler in the ring.

Landell uses "I'm Too Sexy" for his entrance music. Didn't really like the roll up finish as Landell just laid there for the pin fall. He should have at least looked like he was attempting to kick out.

Royal Rumble 97 finish with Landell getting thrown out but referees not seeing it. He ends up eliminating Horner to win battle royal.

[1992-05-23-WCW-Saturday Night] Ricky Steamboat and Dangerous Alliance
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Not sure I support DDP being the one to unveil that Paul E. had paid off those weapon to make up accusations about Steamboat. Dangerous Alliance, mainly Larry, did a pretty poor job of stopping Steamboat but he deserved to get him some of Heyman.- 9 replies

Excellent match. Loved the heeling up by Jumbo and company when they get Misawa isolated in their corner. Felt like Fuchi spent more time in the ring interfering than being the legal man. He was a lot of fun in the match and just fits so well in these six mans. Crowd were really jeering all three of them but then Jumbo raised his arm and they cheered him briefly. Misawa and team some double teaming themselves when they get an injured Taue in the ring. Finish is great with everyone in the ring and Kawada, Misawa and Kobashi having their opponents in submissions.

[1992-05-23-USWA-TV] Eric Embry vs Brian Christopher
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Embry completely no sold the board getting broken over his head by the Moondogs. -
Gilbert is dressed up all nice. Good serious promo.

Seen this a few times now and I find myself wavering on how good it is. This time around I didn't think it was as great as I once thought though it is still good . Rick was annoying me here because at least Scott was doing some selling earlier in the match. Yeah, it is something else to see Iizuka take such a beating. He gets his face messed up pretty early and he is just holding it most of the time. Poor guy but he did stick it out so he was easy to root for in this match. But damn was there some stiff looking suplexes in this match. Rick catching Iizuka is mid air was really impressive.

Agree with pretty much what has been said before. Excellent match that just seemed to fly by. Austin and Windham starting set the tone for the rest of the match. I thought they did a great job on how they handled when each guy entered. Too bad about Eaton being legit hurt. He seemed to have trouble removing part of the turnbuckle for weapon and Larry was just like screw it and grabbed the whole thing out of his hands. The cage ceiling is so low that it can get in the way (when they try coming off the top rope for one) but it does allow for great stuff like Sting pressing Rude repeatedly into it.

[1992-05-23-WWF-Superstars] Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Perfect gave me a laugh in this from doing a double take when staring at the woman's chest to putting the grape in his mouth, spitting it out and then swatting it away in mid air.- 11 replies

[1992-05-23-WWF-Superstars] Interview: Ultimate Warrior

Fantastic stuff. I love Warriors' reaction where he just screams "Warriors" and walks off looking at his hand. Think one would completely freak out with what just happened to him. -
[1992-05-23-WWF-Superstars] Update: Ultimate Warrior/Papa Shango recap

So glad we got that extra footage of Warrior puking. Felt like this belonged in the Attitude era. -
[1992-05-17-WCW-Wrestle War '92] Brian Pillman vs Tom Zenk
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Nice to have Jesse back on commentary after the substitutes Ross had lately. Can say this is the best Zenk match I've seen but felt it was more of Pillman's doing. They play nice with each other for a while but over time it gets testy. Fun to see them smacking each other around. Jesse was really trying to stir things up on commentary.- 21 replies

[1992-05-17-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Interview: Randy Savage

That line got Heenan all bothered. Must have been tough for Savage to being doing this angle with where his marriage was at this point. He delivers pretty good though.- 9 replies

[1992-05-17-NJPW-Super Heavy Crush] Riki Choshu vs Keiji Muto
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Headscissors by Choshu was well done. That was out of nowhere. Better of the Choshu matches but there seemed to be a mix up late in the match with a clothesline and DDT that didn't look right. They were able to recover enough though.- 12 replies

[1992-05-16-WWF-Superstars] Ultimate Warrior and Papa Shango
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
Got a good laugh out of it. Shango seems to be really into what he is doing playing up the whole trance thing and casting his spell on Warrior. Shango would have done well in the James Bond movie Live and Let Die.- 12 replies

Match that I would like to see a television version of. It was hard for a single camera to catch all that was going on outside the ring. It's a wild scene with the FMW guys outside but as the camera is focused on that I'm thinking what's going on in the ring with Casas/Santo. Great crowd though and it's awesome to see them go crazy every move Santo does on Casas. They were eating it up big time.
-
Strange combinations here. Onita and Goto make quick work of getting bloodied up. They are brawling and such and then Santo and Casas get in the ring and they are flying all over the place and it looks smooth as hell. Just a big contrast of performance within the same match.
-
Big pop for Espanto winning the third fall. Quite the surprising ending to see with Santo losing. Santo had a series of really close two counts just before this so was cool to see Espanto survive and then get the win. Found the lighting to be difficult at first to adjust too but the camera work overall is decent.

[1992-05-16-WCW-Worldwide] Interview: Ricky Steamboat
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in May 1992
This type of angle doesn't fit Steamboat. He tries to explain his previous appearance of blowing fire as sending a message. Wasn't really buying that myself. Steamboat makes it clear that he is after Rude's belt not his woman.
