[1992-07-11-USWA-Memphis TV] Eddie Gilbert vs Ricky Morton
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Nice to see a long studio match. Gilbert got really cocky as he was in control of match until the time limit hit. He arrogantly asks for five more minutes to beat up Morton but gets pinned. Not really playing to the champion's advantage there. He is able to worm himself out of it by saying the second match wasn't a title match. -
[1992-07-09-JWP-Thank You] Mayumi Ozaki vs Dynamite Kansai
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
The kicks from Dynamite were quite stiff and loud with no commentary talking over the match. There was also alot of screaming and yelling so I had to lower my TV volume to know scare off the neighbors. Match was on the long side.- 12 replies

[1992-07-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Interview: Bill Watts
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
That is a lot of tag titles to have in one organization. Slater says something. Watts seemed to understanding what he said.- 8 replies

[1992-07-04-WCW-Saturday Night] Steve Austin and Barry Windham
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
It is kind of cool that a heel running his mouth has to act on it. Not really a match but more two guys allowed to blow off some steam by beating each other up.- 9 replies

Boo to Horner for running Buddy off like that when he is speaking. Going from Landell to Horner on the mic is quite the drop off.

[1992-07-04-USWA-Memphis TV] Eddie Gilbert and Ricky Morton
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Eddie reminds Dave Brown that he is to be known as the King of Wrestling. Gilbert getting angry that Morton would stand up for the fans. He was getting fired up there. Good segment from both guys. -
[1992-07-04-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Jarrett essentially repeats what Lawler had just said right before. -
[1992-07-04-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett vs The Moondogs
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Match was getting good with the weapon use but ended a bit too soon. Burrell was counting guys outside the ring in a anything goes match. Lawler throws some cash into the crowd. Looked like it could have got out of control there. I'm betting he was only throwing the one dollars bills that were in the suitcase. Lee has to put his hair on the line in the rematch. He had little choice as Moondogs were ready to hit him if he didn't.- 11 replies

Jarrett and Lawler win the belts. Moondogs beat up Fargo for a bit. They are much nicer to him than the studio jobbers. Jarrett and Lawler make the save. Rematch it signed for today's TV show and Lawler is ready to celebrate the win and getting the $5,000 from Richard Lee.

[1992-07-04-UWA] Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat vs Silver King & El Texano
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Not only does it seem like the Can Ams seem like they are trying to not work stiff but they seemed to move stiffly compared to their opponents. They don't really look comfortable here to me. Don't know if it's the masks. First fall was a complete squash. Match overall didn't do much for me. -
I am with you all that this is pretty awesome. Definitely near top for one of my favorite matches of the year so far. They sucked me in with the mat work which looked so smooth between the two. Really dug Dandy's submission where he was forcing Casas to do a split. By the third fall I'm completely into it and the close pinfall attempts where great. I don't get all of lucha but agree with Loss that this type of match can appeal to all wrestling fans. The video quality may not be the best but don't really notice it after a couple minutes in.

[1992-07-04-WWF-Superstars] Update: Nailz/Big Bossman recap
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1992
Good job with the pictures of Boss Man looking really busted up from the beating. Okerlund calls up Boss Man to harass him/get his thoughts on what happened. Boss Man mentions losing a lot of weight and that he will be returning soon. -
They flew through the three falls. Found it weird to see less than two minutes between the first an second falls. Think the losing team would need type to recoup and regroup but they turned it around real fast to tie things up. Thought it was good match though. Toyota really had the wrong angle on her asia moonsault the the outside.

[1992-06-27-WWF-Superstars] Legion of Doom and Rocco
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in June 1992
LOD wearing their wrestling gear and shoulder pads. Whole segment is ridiculous. -
I was actually thinking from these WWF segments so far that he looked the most normal in his setting with his gear on. But then everyone else is in jeans and sneakers and he does look awkward doing his speech.
-
Looks like Fargo swung the garbage can at Jarrett by mistake. Must have been confused by the blond hair. Everyone does seem happy with Fargo there. Lawler and Dave Brown are beaming the whole interview.

They play off each other very well and seemed to be having a blast. Did they actually go to the same high school?- 12 replies

[1992-06-27-USWA-TV] Music Video: Brian Christopher
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in June 1992
Wow, can't believe he was a real homeless guy. He played the part too well. Christopher was really good here being incredible difficult to the guy he hired including making him clean the pool with a tooth brush. Video also shows clips of him wrestling.- 11 replies

[1992-06-27-SMW-TV] Down and Dirty: Jim Cornette & Heavenly Bodies
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in June 1992
It was fun how the Bodies were introduced in SMW but good to see things getting serious as Cornette delivers. -
He's all over the place on his promo. Figured he was older than 41 at this point.
