  1. At first I saw the Twitter clips and even though Dreamer was a fucking scumbag I thought it was made to sound even worse that he intended. At first I thought he was just making a generic defense of Flair in the typical way friends justify toxic/abusive behavior of their closed ones, and that editing made it look even more repulsive by making him be the one to "respond" to the flight attendant testimony. But then he directly talks about her and how she shouldn't have taken settlement money and went to the full extent of the law to put Flair in prison if she was so offended. Fucking hell, way to show you are a piece of shit when no one asked for it. I'm also with @hammerva, Terri's quotes paint the best picture at how wrestling truly is/was.
  2. I thought this was a very good episode made great by the crowd. I'm only two weeks in so Lamber's schtick is hilarious to me. Jericho being Jericho didn't bother me that much. I liked the segment but almost solely because the crowd made it something entertaining. Same boat with MJF's stuff, I'm kinda impressed by him trying his hardest to make Pillman Jr more over. He's throwing every cliche in the book but again, I'm so new to Dynamite that I don't particularly care. Love Hobbs getting this kind of spotlight. Danielson and Kenny gotta go to a draw and Page gotta comeback too. NY would go nuts methinks. Thought the segment itself was meh but whatever, they basically dragged the match for two weeks so it can get to Arthur Ashe. Miro's promo was fucking aces. Cody vs Black is the epitome of a feud I could give less of a fuck about. Rosario Dawson getting in the middle of it was so random that it was least funny to watch. The in ring action was fine. Next week should be fucking flames though, can't wait.
  3. WWE can always learn the wrong lesson and blame the wrong people but the evidence is there that hot shotting wasn't the worst idea they could come up with (without Big E the rating would've been abysmal, as the last hour usually goes to shit). As everyone has said, they key now would be to build on the moment but this company just goes back to normal and tries to find whatever shock value (or nostalgia) they can come up with when they feel they need to pop a rating and nothing else. They should try to come up with a huge angle for the Draft so they can actually get rid of the brands in the short term. Build up SS as the "brand ender" or Night Of Champions if they are still doing that show. I also wonder what kind of panic they will have if the Arthur Ashe show does a big rating and AEW beats them in the demo.
  4. I'd love for him to go back to El Generico, get a big pop and like 1 year run out of it. Then he gets into a heated feud were he loses the first apuestas match in AEW and has to take off the mask.
  5. First black to black WWE champions too. That's also pretty fucking dope.
  6. New Day having two world champions is fucking dope. Big E winning is fucking dope. Even though I wanted him to beat the one to vanquish Roman, I'm just happy he got the belt. So RAW becomes the New Day show for a while or do they swap E with the Tribal Chief? would FOX allow that?
  7. The commercial was put there so people would have time to tune in to the cash in? So was Bobby having an injury to make it "obvious" he's losing?
  8. This feels weird on so many levels
  9. Yeah, I just don't care about anyone on this fucking show. I'll be back for the last half hour and see how everything unfolds.
  10. No doubt. I always found ridiculous when guys like Randy were in the ring cutting promos with a t-shirt in their underwear
  11. Since when does Randy wear shorts? That legit shocked me, lol. About damn time Randall. And wow, Charlotte looks different from WM and in WM I could barely recognize her.
  12. At least they got my attention, might be my first RAW watch in years, just to see if they fuck up the layup they have with Big E.
  13. I also lean towards that. Bryan can't beat Kenny at Full Gear because of The Elite and when he's about to get killed, Page makes the save. I'm just too ignorant on AEW to grasp how a DQ/non-finish for Omega/Dragon would be received and if Page showing up would make up for it. From what I've read in this board, it certainly seems like it would though. I struggle with this too. I know Dragon can recover from any loss, specially in an environment like AEW. But drawing wise, I don't think he'll ever mean as much as he does right now. So would beating him clean hurt that? Not sure, but going the safe route and having a non-finish seems like the better option. Specially if it's to build to Page coming back and getting the job done once and for all.
  14. If he's 2 months away from coming back. Do you still wait for him and keep the belt on Omega so Page can finally win it from Kenny? Honest question since I know very little of AEW's kayfabe and what the fans that have been following the past 2 years feel about this kind of thing. I know Omega vs Danielson is a huge match but it kind of opens a bunch of problems if it's made for the title. I guess it's a good problem to have but if the end goal is Page getting the main belt, then I'd try to delay Dragon vs Kenny till after Omega drops the strap. I also have no clue how "damaged" would Page's character be if his own coronation gets delayed 6-10 months because of the new arrivals/circumstances. What if Tony Khan pulls a Gedo and punts his title win till All Out 2022 or something?
  15. Sometimes this board spends way too much time talking/arguing about the lowest common denominator of wrestling fans. "Truthers", trolls, stans, etc. they are not gonna be convinced no matter what and most of them live for you to worry or talk about their hot/dumb/ takes or crazy behavior. 200k in 2021 is a huge success no matter how you slice it. Basically. And that was gonna happen even if All Out did 300-400k. I would expect morons to talk about "that show was like their WM and it didn't even crack half a million? Failure" or that kind of nonsense.
  16. Interesting, Dave (who's been close to Danielson for a long time now) says that WWE was willing to let Dragon work New Japan in order to keep him. As Danielson has stated since Sunday, the fact that he still chose AEW even with Vince bending backwards to keep him, just shows the momentum the promotion has. He basically couldn't resist the opportunities that are open to him. Seemed like a "now or never" type of decision. And man, if Nick Khan would've pulled off that NJPW exclusivity deal....
  17. Is there anyone besides WWE trolls denying that?
  18. I think it will get better once the crowd realizes the lyrics are "you are gonna get your fucking head kicked in". My guess is that the Arthur Ashe crowd is gonna be the first to make it a "thing" and it will catch on.
  19. To be honest I much preffer Moxley going 10 minutes in that kind of match than going 15-17. The commercial break sucked but we still got to watch what was going on in the ring.
  20. That was a dope 10 minute match. I agree the way it was worked it kinda felt cheap Mox won. It's also interesting to me (politically) how AEW keeps getting this Ws over New Japan. King of Sports is never this friendly and willing to take losses. Sure, it's mostly folks past their primes but MiSu is still on a way higher status than 2021 Nagata and Kojima. Not saying it matters nor that it's important, but it's pretty damn interesting how highly AEW is viewed by NJPW.
  21. Well they are going straight into Omega vs Danielson. I wonder who they are gonna feed Dragon to get a couple of Ws in the lead up. Who is the most nimble guy in The Elite? I picture Dragon wanting to do what he did to Jack Evans back in the day
  22. That was pretty claver with Sammy Guevara.
  23. Glad Hayter landed on her face in that botch instead of trying to go through with that reverserana. That looked like it could've been REALLY bad.
  24. Hobbs was very impressive working on top. Is Dan Lambert a known U.S personality? I have no clue who he is but was really impressed at the promo he cut. That was a lot of words and he didn't even slip once.
  25. 33 years later and dude still can put one hell of a performance.
