Na, he looks far, far worse than Punk. He hasn't got an ounce of his talent either. I wouldn't be surprised if he got the drop.

Putting Kane with them would turn it into another cheesy Kane angle and kill it dead. They should just keep it simple and go for Wyatt vs Kane at summerslam. Any trios matches with them will be a disappointment after the Shield. Just watched Main Event and the beatdown was much better than the previous ones. Helps that you have 3mb who always bump their arse off. I quite like Bray's finisher, he makes it look devastating. WWE's been pretty good lately heh?

Great news that. From what I've seen of her, Knox is quite brilliant and one of the most entertaining and funny heels about. Definitely star quality about her too. Hasn't she spent the last several years out of the business? I wonder what made WWE go for her. Well... seems like they're still going for it. It's one thing for guys like Edge and Dolph to hook up with the shrill, bitchy heel in power to take advantage of said power, it's another for the 'monster' heel to starting banging shrill, bitchy heel out of sympathy for losing power. Ryback hasn't been a 'monster' for, like, over 8 months. I was hoping they would go the comedy route with him and he would eventually devolve back into Skip Sheffield but I'm fine with the Vickie involvement too.

The most harrowing wrestling match I've ever seen.

Wow, thanks for the super response and info . Been wanting to sink my teeth into another decent indie for a while and I'm always happy to go down south. I'm off to youtube. -

Out of interest Dylan, do you have a favourite indie fed? I quite enjoyed that SAW link (apart from the berk on commentary), very old school feel about it. Like me you seem to dislike ROH/Dragon Gate stuff so is there any particular indie that you'd recommend to this Londoner? -
JNLister's already mentioned ICW for me but one match I think you might enjoy in particular is Mikey Whiplash vs Robbie Dynamite found here (29 mins in). Fantastic match with some nifty mat work.

Are there any nice write ups or articles out there on the decline of the wrestling business in Japan? I always seem to here how the popularity's gone but nobody mentions how it got there.

They didn't take ridiculous bumps though, they just jumped over the top rope and landed on their feet on the outside.

Don't know what Dave's going on about to be honest. In fact that was the most amusing thing the Ace's and 8s have ever done. Loved the fact that Doc went against their plans and went babyface on Anderson yet he got thrown out anyway. He looked like a complete tit.

The Bryan thing looks like it's a work then. Sure fooled me. A night of brilliant acting it seems. And Kaitlyn. That really was a great episode though, easily the best three hour show there's ever been. This and the PPV have given WWE a sense of direction and I'm interested. Everything seems to be nicely falling into place. And there's still Bray to come! Hope they keep it up, there's nothing better than the WWE firing on all cylinders

Even Steph has been good on this show. Brilliant episode.

It looked it to me. Cole announced it as some kind of nerve damage. Hope I'm wrong.

Bloody hell that was amazing. Almost too good in fact. I've was never been big on Henry before but fucking hell, really. Amazing. Gutted for Byran. Hope it's nothing serious, the timing couldn't be worse.

Until recently I only knew Dundee as a guy who popped up vs Jerry Lawler in the best matches threads. A shame he isn't talked about a bit more, he's bloody great. He's always fun to watch, heel or face (he seems to have turned about eight times so far on the Memphis set), he's a right cheeky little bastard. Some of his offence struck me as being quite viscous for the time too. The loser leaves town match is as great as the Lawler/Funk no dq match i.e Beat Match Ever calibre. Is there a better scaffold match than him vs Koko? I've not seen his seventies stuff so that's something I've got to remedy once I'm done with Memphis. Good promo and great hair as well.

Just gonna spam my thoughts from another forum cos i'm lazy like that . . . PPV of the year for me. Excellent stuff. Negative nancy ting . . Bullies come out on top. Sheamus and AJ winning sticks my craw a bit. The post match sympathy exit for Kaitlyn was bloody uncomfortable to watch. The commentary during the diva's match was deplorable, the King especially, god bless him. He made up for it a bit by complementing Ambrose and his brilliant, beautiful face though. Didn't like the finish of the US title match, Kane doesn't need protecting especially if the Hell NO/Shield feud is over. I'm still gonna moan about Bryan beating the Shield on a random Smackdown. Not even a fucking video package, already forgotten. But, yeah, it was great otherwise. Dolph/Del Rio, AJ/Kaitlyn and Punk/Y2J weren't the best matches ever but the drama was incredible. The double turn was executed perfectly. Loved the way the commentators slowly turned against Del Rios tactics. Loved Alberto disrespectfully kicking the Diva's title across the floor before it was clear that he'd fully turned. I tried to reason it as being an accident but it clearly wasn't and I really hated the fucker for that. A great little touch. Looking forward to see how Dolph is as a face, hopefully my dream of turning his little faction face comes true as well. Only snag is Alberto's much better at wrestling face. Axel looked proper for the first time winning the belt, good for him. It'd be a shame if Orton goes heel. Randy as a fired up baby tag wrestler is the most I've ever enjoyed him. Him and Sheamus as a proper team would be awesome. It was cool to see Rollins hit his finisher(?) for once, the curb stomp thing is a brilliant little move and right up the Shields alley. The main was far better than expected, very enjoyable for the most part. Ryback ("It only gets worse from here!") and his power spots were impressive and Cena taking to the air was quality. You gotta laugh at Ryback though, poor fucker.

The first Taker vs Shawn Mania match and Kandori/Hokuto are two that popped into my head.

I adore Aja in this match. Dare I say it, she excels in the role of the emotional, fiery, underdog, 'babyface' even more than her usual monster role. I'm kinda like that with Nakano too, she was clearly more natural as the breezy, happy go lucky girl like in her Big Egg match with Medusa. She never quite convinced me enough as the monster. She is still great though and this might be her best performance in terms of playing her character - the viscous karate kicks to Bison, the no selling of the kendo sticks and the sickening shots she lays on Aja with them, the rope running power spots, the post match forehead chewing and especially that moment near the end where she crowds a teary Aja into the corner like a true bully - Bull's fantastic here. But a lot of credit needs to go to Grizzly and Bison. It's them rather than the other two that bring the real sense of hatred into this match. The wailing, the viscous slaps and chair shots, the blood and the selling. It's palpable.

The Shield will have no problems. Ambrose and Reigns in particular ooze the kind of potential that hasn't come along in years. Roman will be the next Batista. Ambrose is a slice of wrestling heaven and is the next super villain in line after Punk. Rollin's will be up there somewhere too. Some people just get over and there's no turning back.
-
The ref in this I quit match is already doing my head in.
-
Brilliant stuff. Ambrose was tremendous in that match. A true villain.
-
It had good parts and loads of filler. The usual. The Brock/Heyman thing went on for days for no reason. HHH didn't even care! Next week they're having a face to face. I thought that was how feuds were meant to work anyway. Despite all the shit that's been thrown at him Ryback's been doing a decent job recently. Cena's been unbearable. Sandow's little song was brilliant. He always delivers gold on the mic.
-
Not as a member of the Shield no. He was on NXT though and he was a pretty good promo.
-
I'll just copy what I wrote somewhere else . . For me BOTH Ambrose and Reigns are future stars. There hasn't been anyone who's come along that has that kind of star quality in years. Ambrose is glorious and is one of those guys that adds the little touches - the way he pounded the mat in frustration after getting dropped by Kofi Kingston or the maniacal grin that lit up his face when he realised Ryback was no-selling his chops - just spontaneous little things that too few blokes do. I don't think the 'wackiness' is much of problem because 1. he's not that wacky. 2. he's bloody good at it. Watching him being presented as a near equal to the Undertaker on smackdown warmed my heart. I just love the fucker. He's all my favourite bits about wrestling in one droopy, dreamy package. Future world champ at least. Reigns looks godlike. They should keep him in black. When he was wearing a pair of little pants on FCW he didn't really stand out as much. I love that Superfly gone sinister chop/thrust thing he does. He's a good talker too even though his cool, calm delivery isn't best suited for the Shield promos. I'm looking forward to a feud with Sheamus.
