I super love this video.

I liked the idea of the match (Ambrose tries to solve the Brock puzzle by enduring the suplexes and using every weapon on earth after he punches himself out) but it really didn't come off in execution. It was strangely un-intense.

Like an old man who can't keep up? I see people say this shit but let me tell you, from someone who just watched a truckload of Old Man Shawn, Shawn never EVER looked as physically washed up as Jericho did tonight. Shawn was fine when he went out.
-
Shawn could have worked forever. He looks exactly the same today as he did six years ago. I'm making my face turn here from curmudgeon yelling at clouds to joyful mark because what the fuck, I enjoyed that.

Lots of angry people.

The Jericho/AJ angle is fine on TV, but then all that work is negated when they get to the PPV and Jericho slops around all over the place, counters all of AJ's moves, gives him no shine, botches his shit, kicks out of AJ's finishers and then wins the fucking Mania match. Jericho is supposed to be the fucking heel, and here he is showing up the younger, flashier guy he's supposed to be jealous of and then beating him clean as a sheet. Get fucked.

Oh what the fuck.
-
In this case it's a chant specifically for Sami, from back when he was El Generico on the indies. Smarks have brought it to NXT and WWE.
-
That finish was laid out perfectly for the crowd to not shit on Zack's win. Well done.
-
Undoubtedly I would say.

Kalisto had barely got the pinfall in the opening Network-only pre-show match before someone screamed "THAT'S KALISTO'S WRESTLEMANIA MOMENT~!!! " Get fucked.

Continuing the great legacy of Michelle McCool? *one tear*

I FUCKING LOVE EVA MARIE. She started back from the break in the ring so she's clearly told her team "Look guys, don't worry, I totally got this." And funnily enough, because it's Wrestlemania and miracles happen, she did got it! She competently executed wrestling moves! She was winning! (Emma deserves a fucking fruit basket for her work in this match by the way) It was all going so well for Eva Marie, so what does she do? She gloats, taunts the heels, then TAUNTS HER OWN TEAM and bitchslaps Natalya for no earthly reason whatsoever. In one moment the Total Divas went from "hmm, maybe she's not the worst wrestler to ever live?" to "Oh motherfuck this asshole!" It was glorious. Even when she's competent she's incompetent! I fucking love Eva Marie.

Ads during matches on the pre show are so fucked up.

Australia.

I'm distracting myself from disappointment over the women losing by burying myself in GWE stuff.

2004 is one of the best years in Raw history in terms of great matches. Nobody should skip that stuff, it's fucking great.

I still have no coherent words to express how I felt about Takeover Dallas, except for this one thought. My mother is who I watch wrestling with, but she is a straight up WWE fan who is happy to stick to the main shows and has absolutely no smark in her. So I watch non-WWE wrestling without her, and that includes NXT Takeovers because they're not aired on TV here and she's not that invested in NXT. Every so often I watch something and wish my mother had watched it with me. Particularly good Takeover stuff because that's at least WWE presentation that she's familiar with, and like damn, she'd have loved, say, Bayley's title win. But then I exhale that thought because she's happy watching whatever's on telly and isn't drawn to the idea of "great matches" the way we are, so I just tell her Bayley won and it was awesome and leave it at that. However...for the first time ever, sometime in the next day or so I am going to sit her down, put on Takeover Dallas and make her watch Sami vs Nakamura. Mum asked me how NXT was and when I got to that match I was so overwhelmed with the idea that she needed to watch it and see it and love it and get it like I did. So for the first time I'm going to push a match on her. I just so dearly want her to "get" Shinsuke. In other words, Sami vs Nakamura was incredible and awesome and life changing and mold breaking and Shinsuke is the best and FIGHT FOREVER and I can't stop fucking listening to his theme tune.

Finally finished this historical age of a podcast. Then I still had to go back and find the numbers that Parv GIFed about. So I'm finally done and just outstanding work. Endlessly entertaining for the whole ten hours, and again your sheer enthusiasm, particularly Tim's, is a joy and sounds like me when I get excited. Really enjoyed this.

After all the podcasts and posts saying "I can see an argument for X as number one" I have a curious non-spoiler question for Grimmas: how many different #1s are there so far?
-
...still dead.

That killed me. I'm dead.

All you guys talking about going high on Cena...cute. The JBL? For what it's worth that match got squished after Angle/Shawn went long and they ended up with the 10 minutes or so they got, which lead to Cena's super short comeback and win.

You definitely won't be the high voter for Punk. Not even amongst podcasters I would imagine. I remember being surprised that he ended up as high as he did for you though.
