  1. I want to be involved with the freelancers, they are a must for Puerto Rico.
  2. Provided there are no date conflicts, WWC is interested in sending someone to participate in the tournament.
  3. Actually, Sweetan was already on my consideration list before the draft started.
  4. Great, I had no issues with the selection but just wanted it to be clear.
  5. Are the Soul Patrol eligible to be drafted as a team?
  6. WWC selects Bob Sweetan. TravJ is on the clock.
  7. I have a 34 (well, 32 now due to forfeited picks) pick wait coming up.
  8. Hopefully it continues before our UK players turn in due to the time difference.
  9. Thanks!
  10. I have a question similar to Grimmas' about Billy Red Lyons. In this case it's about Hugo Savinovich. At the time he was serving as the English language announcer in addition to managing, but was not the only announcer (the other being Joaquin Padin, hijo who was the Spanish language announcer). What would be his status with regards to the draft?
  11. WWC selects Jay Youngblood. Grimmas is on the clock.
  12. Parv and I argued with Kris about picking Hansen and using him like Andre between Japan tours. Kris shot us down and said he is a freelancer. Oh, okay. I though i had missed the announcement of that.
  13. For sure, that's part of the fun.
  14. When was Hansen put on the unavailable list? He wasn't on it originally.
  15. Yeah, I know. I'm up now, but I'll take a moment while i figure out who to pick.
  16. He was a stud in Puerto Rico right now. Man, i'm bummed.
  17. Aw man, Tonga was going to be my next pick!
  18. I'm fine with Boon drafting Golden and Fuller together.
  19. WWC selects Dick Slater. Beast is on the clock.
  20. That's certainly a valid way to go about it. But there are also certain considerations specific to each territory that will influence how some of us approach the draft. I'll use my first two picks as an example. Sgt. Slaughter I would classify as someone having wide appeal in terms of value, but he is also someone I feel I can definitely make good use of in a primarily Spanish speaking market that does not get much exposure in the U.S. (basically "what happens in Puerto Rico, stays in Puerto Rico"). Pedro Morales has a bit more limited appeal overall, but he is such a perfect fit for my target audience (native of Puerto Rico, former World champ and recent I-C champ in a top market, at this point int time the most accomplished native wrestler, speaks Spanish, etc.). I went back and forth on whether to pick him second, since due to his more limited overall appeal he would likely be available in later rounds. But at that point I valued more having certainty in who was going to be the face anchors of my promotion and took him (also, my prospective second pick had already been taken and I couldn't really find another good fit).
  21. I was considering him for WWC, although come to think of it that's not that weird for Kamala.
  22. July 4th weekend is coming up and I'm sure several of you are planning shows for this festive weekend. For those of you looking to add a bit more sizzle to your card, maybe you need a tag partner or a special attraction to really put your card over the top, Sgt. Slaughter is available for shows on July 2, 3 and 4. Interested parties may contact the WWC booking office to inquire about Sarge's availability for those dates.
  23. I thought his delay may have been Dusty related once so much time had passed.
  24. I don't think anyone in the history of ever has fought so hard for the right to willingly be in Cleveland as Parv has here.
  25. We have our next three pickers logged in right now. Let's see if we can get them in soon.
