References for these two. I've added the El Torito references in the original post, but it looks like I've conflated some Gotch reviews I've read elsewhere with this board. My apologies for that, it looks like Gotch will have to be held off as a nominee. in the case of Adonis he has the reviews on the 80's sets but I can't find the specific reviews at this moment. Patterson has quite a few scattered about (including Titans of Wrestling), but I can't find them at the moment. I'll see if I can add them later today.

This is pretty much my thinking with regard to the nomination process. For this project's credibility, any and all prominent names that meet the nomination requirements should be given the due process of consideration even if they would be a tough sell to make anyone's final list. Are we going to nominate anyone who ever had a half decent match? Considering the scope and intent of the project, I think it's necessary for the project's credibility that any and all notable names are given their due process of consideration (even if it's a tough sell for them to make anyone's final list).

I'm watching a Wilbur Snyder vs. Angelo Poffo match because I was curious if I could see any similarities between Poffo and his sons. It's interesting because I see some Lanny as the Genius in Angelo's prissy act, but those moments when he gets mad and does a quick punch flurry reminds me of Randy. It's interesting how the rope break works in this match. It's not grabbing the ropes, you have to get part of your body outside of the ring ropes area. And I'm also enjoying Russ Davis on commentary so far. He reminds me of the Balladeer from the Dukes of Hazzard.

Slaughter's been on the ballot the past couple of years.

Not sure why he left, but he returned this weekend and is back to being a tecnico. He got attacked by El Bronco. They appear to be building to a Ray Gonzalez vs. El Patron match for Aniversario 41.

Scary how plausible this is and I'm already holding back laughter thinking about the heavy-handed NFL films style narration "Fans were craving a more realistic, more dynamic brand of sports entertainment. Enter: The Disciples of Apocalypse." Los Boricuas and DOA have to go down as two of the sorriest groups ever. It's unfortunate I was alive and watching weekly wrestling at a time they were feuding. Los Boricuas had talent, they were just misused/miscast in that role.

Thanks for providing the reasoning of why Matysik is on the ballot Bix. I had never heard him talked up as a potential ballot candidate before and was genuinely curious as to what would be the reasoning for including him this year.

Good luck to the voters dealing with the new 15 year rule. I think there is going to be some unintended consequences because of this. What is the argument for Matysik being included on the ballot?

For 91 I'd probably go with Adnan. I'm still trying to figure out why the heck he was on the apron when Slaughter had Hogan covered at Wrestlemania 7. Fuji's two worst moments were 1) dumping Demolition while they were still champs instead of waiting to cost them the belts against his new team and 2) challenging Hogan to a match right then and there for the WWF title his guy had just won (and who was exhausted from said match). Other than that he was a cromulent manager.

Two questions: What are the judging /consideration criteria for the WON Hall of Fame? Where can one find / look at WCW attendance figures?

I'm halfway through the show and I'm surprised that we have had all of this PN Newz talk and there has been no mention of his GAB 91 rap. "On July 14th, see the WCW crew, it's the Bash 91 on Pay-Per-View". Of all the things I still clearly remember 23 years later, it had to be the lyrics to the short version of that rap. It's been another fun show so far, once I'm able to finish it I'll try to answer the question to the listeners.

I've enjoyed all of the all-time monthly PPV shows you guys have done. It's an exercise that is equal parts logic puzzle, aggravation, torture and fun. I've actually been doing the same thing for each of the months and wish you luck with the final four months. Between Survivor Series in November (only thing I'll say is it is possible to pull it off using only matches from the Survivor Series PPV but it's a tough one to work out) and the crappy cards that populate September, October and December, you guys are really going to have fun.
