  1. Am I the only one who just wishes when they show Attitude era Raws they would air the after show stuff too? Its obviously they filmed them because you can see lots of footage from promo ads and the sneeky lot released a attitude era vol 2 dvd and as soon as you watch it Austin stunners Xpac on the main menu which is footage that wasent televised.
  2. The thing is for me I spent the last 4 years aquiring as much wrestling footage as I could and if I didnt watch any of it then it would be a waste of money from my part. On the same token as a kid I remember playing Final Fantasy 7 and played it for 72 hours non stop before I finished it. These days id never attempt something like that as id probably spread the game out over a number of weeks. As far as what wrestling Ive viewed well last year I started a trek of watching Attitude Era stuff so I started with Raw from jan 1995 and worked my way week after week up to the PPVs till Nitro came and watched that along with the WCW PPVs. Over time I racked up to mid 99 with having to watch on top of that Thunders, Heats, Smackdowns and I felt that nearing the end of 99 I wanted to do a change and rewatch some of the Golden era. If you can spare 3 or 4 hours maybe 3 nights out of a week you can get through quite alot. Was a really enjoyable time and it got the little un into the attitude era product so get them familiar with the characters from the WWE 13 game. Now ive started with the 1984 era so they can relive the Hulkamania era which is something I never got to see as apart from the odd WWF show didnt see it properly till 1989 so I missed alot of that era. Well UK TV had their own wrestling show so I guess they didnt need a american show to entertain people even though it was massivly popular than what the UK scene was airing.
  3. Id go with Randy Savage he was ahead of his time and he could have had massive success if he had started out around the mid 90s. Thats not to say he wasent good in the 80s because he was brilliant but I would have loved to seen his character shine in the late 90s - 21st century.

  5. Nice to see its not only the UK who gets that advert.
  6. He deserves some bashing by wrestling fans given his loud and frequent criticisms of Rock, Brock, Taker and other part-timers "who won't be there on Monday" given he hasn't done anything to earn a spot in UFC. Personally, I don't give a damn. I watched Brock in UFC because of his amateur credentials, freak athleticism and most of all because I was a wrestling fan and wanted to see what he could do. I'll probably watch Punk in UFC because I'm a wrestling fan and want to see what this former wrestling headliner does. Just makes all of his promotional efforts over the last couple weeks and, unfortunately, some of his legit issues with WWE seem like nothing but promotional tactics when he's playing the same game to sell himself here. Yeah I wont say what I personally think of the guy but what he said was completely uncalled for with Colt. The biggest thing that irritated me about him was that promo on Raw where he slagged off Sammartino & Hogan about there run on top and their supposed easy scheduele. Well for one thing it was alot tougher back then to get people to leave their spot and he obviously forgets what while you never had PPVs or weekly Raws you did have the champion defending all around the country at House Shows which is what Raw would have been like then so its not as if they had a easy scheduel. Plus if he really believes he would have stopped either of Sammartino or Hogans run back then well he is one dilusional bastard because if he had been there in his prime he would have never even been considered close to winning the belt.
  7. That is sad news. Never really understood why they never won the tag titles as they were built up big when they came in, Jimmy had a fantastic match against HBK on Raw in 95 & I remember them for that massive brawl they had with the Smoking Gunns on the Action Zone because fists went flying.
  8. I doubt he will be as sucessful as Lesnar alough mind you could you imagine the humiliation if he got his ass handed to him in the second round? Over the past few months it seems his mouth cant back up what hes bulling.
  9. When did Vince first appear on camera for the WWWF? Just googling it but couldnt find a definate date.
  10. How often during Bruno's era was he seen on TV? Hes a guy I always enjoyed seeing his matches when they did that Coliseum Video years ago and kinda wondered how much of his run did WWE record. Ive seen a couple of MSG shows he was in and wondered was he restricted to defending the belt on TV at MSG or was it a more wider area. A friend said he has seen a televised cage match against George Steele, he couldnt remember what show it happened on but said it wasent MSG.
  11. Yeah its just not making sense why this has happened. I know they liked to promote house shows on the TV but this is really odd. I thought id played the wrong disk at first till I checked it out and realised I hadent.
  12. Just watched my second MSG house show in full that had Hogan/Orndorff as the main event.
  13. If you only knew has always been one of my favourite music videos I remember when I finally saw the pile driver video about a decade and a half ago was watching it on a daily basis. Best part is that Hogan/Dibiase smackdown talk.
  14. Is it likely Dave has WWE footage that isnt in circulation?
  15. Les Kellett the hardest man in Britain!
  16. Yep pretty much. History of WWE says the Champ Wrestling taping took place on 1/3 and I watched the 1/14 show and they announced it on the show before the MSG show even took place. I checked the history website and the matches listed from the 14th were what I was watching so it wasent as if I watched the wrong episode. Can you guess what happened on the 1/21 show? Yep Sheik comes out as the WWF Champion and they are advertising the MSG show of him defending the title. If you want to call something odd heres another example. Last night I was watching Championship Wrestling 2/11/84 and they are discussing Tito winning the title from Muraco during the bit where Okerlund is interviewing both and Albano goes crazy about how can it happen when the tape is missing. Considering this is a taped show probably taped a week or 2 previously to be exact 1/24/84 and that match didnt even happen till the actual 2/11 date but Tito wrestles on this show but he isnt wearing the IC belt and why? Because Vince & Gene are talking about tonights upcoming match between the two so technically it hadent happened yet. During all this they are talking about the Hogan/Masked Superstar title match that is taking place in a few days time yet the week before they clearly discussed Orndorff/Hogan for MSG. Wouldnt it make more sense to advertise the MSG match for the following week than to just discuss something else? One week they talk about Superstar/Andre and the following week its Hogan/Superstar discussion. These shows were recorded from the New York area so no idea why they keep bouncing around with deff matches that havent even taken place yet when MSG didnt happen till 2/20. Its a tad bit confusing.
  17. Its a shame the UK got screwed out of the network all these delays and shit cant be good for business.
  18. Slaughter beating Warrior as the Rumble! Even a kid in the UK felt disguisted at this.

  20. Is this the match where Martel goes for a Boston crab and Shawn strolls down and jabs Rick in the face then walks off? I didnt mind the match but felt it wasent as good as the other matches Rick had with Bret. Parts of the match felt a bit rushed at times.
  21. It must have been. I even checked the history of wwe website to see if it was a mistake on my part watching the wrong disk but no all the matches from the 14th listed I had just watched. Seems very odd to promote a local card at a arena saying tonight when its obvious it isnt tonight its in 2 weeks time. If I remember right the battle royal show took place on the 28th. Even the site says they recorded the tapings on the 3rd of January so no excuse really why they spoiled something so major in advance. Im sure there were some fans who thought the Battle Royal show was that same day it was advertised and they wouldnt have been happy going to the show and being told its not for a fortnight.
  22. What is everyones opinion on this? I dont know why they do it, I remember they did it a few years ago I think it was either Angle or Khali winning a World Title on smackdown and they gave it away on WWE.com before the match had even been televised. One that really got my head scratching was 1984. I was tuning in last night watching WWF Championship Wrestling edition January 14th 1984 and after the first match Gene Okerlund says Hogan beat Sheik for the belt and we have more news on this later. Considering this aired a good 9 days before the MSG its a bit strange why they would do a announcement for this. What I found even more baffling was they were promoting a 20 man battle Royal which they say is tonight which that would mean it would be 28th january. At first I thought maybe I watched a show with the wrong date on but I went on a info site and all the matches were listed there as a show that aired on the 14th so no idea why this happened. I mean yeah we all know what happened but if your a fan who hadent seen the show it would be a bit of a disapointment they screwed up like that. They even had Hogan/Backlund in a tag team match and they never mentioned reference or showed Hogan with the belt then so why would they give the results away?
  23. The main problem I have with Brock is that the WWE Championship hasent been defended since September and we are in December now and that is quite unacceptable that we have had 2 PPVs and not had a World Title match. Now granted we dont have a 30 day title defense limit but its just off not having a World title match on a PPV.
  24. I suppose I started with 84 is because this is when Hogan came back as a face as im not sure what was happening in 83 apart from Backlund as the World Champion. Jobber matches are always essential viewing because you get to see the characters week after week to familiarise with fans, I wouldnt really say id be bored by week 3 because I thought id go crazy watching late 99 when you had 3 hr Nitros, 2 hr Thunders, Smackdowns, Raw & 1 hr Heat in one week. 84 seems like a luxury seeing 1 weekly show. Im not too good with NWA from this era so no idea what shows were airing then. I know Worldwide was but Sat Night wasent called that yet was it? Im basically trying to find a way of making sure I see regular WWF title defenses by Hogan during his first run but not to the extent where they are repeating the same match on different house shows. In a kind of way with current era you know where you see the world champ on tv defending each month.
  25. I still havent got why they had to have Brock end the streak let alone win the title. Especially after be balled and pissed off alot of people who put him over during his first run. They seem to be thinking Roman Reigns is the next big Megastar who is the one guy who can take Lesnar down which Im not sold on. If logically they are thinking keeping the belt on him till mania then its a terrible idea. Because of his contract he cant appear every week and a match on Raw is going to out of the question even though he needs to be on Raw. I just felt so sorry for John Cena in September having to do all the work for the feud because of Lesnars contract.
