  1. I'm a little perplexed myself why that won't embed like the others. I'll check the SC backoffice later this evening. Thanks guys.
  2. Hey Everybody - One thing i love about our audio is how smart it is and we're always on the lookout for unique voices and topics. Outside of the pilot (things are going well - have a couple so far), we've added two equally fantastic shows that I know add value to our existing slate of great audio. The Military Industrial Suplex - born right here out of the sub-forum at PWO. Tom and Dave discuss the complex world of professional wrestling and are 3 for 3 so far on really good show titles. Psychology is Dead - in-depth discussions on the art of wrestling and the psychology behind it. Has featured Dylan and Timothy prior and new episode on The Art of Storytelling features Chad. Current Pro Wrestling Only feed lineup: Where the Big Boys Play Titans of Wrestling Letters from Kayfabe This Week in Wrestling Tag Teams Back Again At the Garden The Military Industrial Suplex Psychology is Dead Wrestling Culture The Wrestling Eye Good Will Wrestling Pro-Wrestling Super Show Brainbuster! All Japan Excite Series Super Extreme Vault Also - we'll still be posting Between the Sheets and Exile on Badstreet at PTBN, using the new feed for those shows. Please make sure you subscribe to Kris/Bix's new feed and check out their patreon. You can find the Pro Wrestling Only feed on iTunes or SoundCloud, where you’ll have access to new episodes, bonus content, as well as a complete archive of all shows on the Network! The feed is also on Google Play and all episodes are at Place to Be Nation.
  3. ^ I also really liked the slow burn of Whitmer / Corino (really it was at least two years before they met in the ring) and, in the minority, actually really liked heel Whitmer in 2015 with the Colby stuff and everything. I'm all for them using Punisher, and I get tagging these young guys with vets (see: Kamaitachi, Jay White, etc), but man is it just brutal. And what's the end game - a Final Battle rematch? I hope so.
  4. This freshened up War Machine a bit also. They've had an interesting year - that on paper seems really solid. They won the belts at Final Battle but really had tepid reactions from the crowd in the shows after. I haven't seen the ANX street fight, but they do a long and decent build to the Briscoes title defense (and validation of them as champs). That match is still my ROH match of the year for 2016 (I'm on an island!). So they peak as champs there and then cycle away from the belts , losing the next show to Addiction, but then segue into the Lee and Taylor stuff. The run seemed to stop abruptly, but the Lee/Taylor stuff certainly does not need a title involved. Kind of smart in hindsight.
  5. I kind of merged shows and forgot about the O'Reilly match. I still stand by the above, and I like Gresham and love that they're using him, but I'm just not feeling bulked up O'Reilly. Is it me Pete? I need to re-watch the Shibata Field of Honor match and I haven't seen their NJPW match either.
  6. Will listen tomorrow - thought 10/22 ROH TV was worst of the year (talking real TV, not packages or Honor Rising stuff). The best part was the Briscoes interview segment. Lot of fatigue post-PPV night before the taping. Felt really flat. Real bad ending to the main event too.
  7. Good point. Was that TV or one of their pre-taped PPVs?
  8. I'll say this too about Lethal - the sparse post PPV taping crowd that this was - was totally into him. I don't think they sweetened since a bunch of the other stuff was dead.
  9. Fun fact, Pete says Silas Young rolled up Jay Lethal and I'm like "Holy shit, that's really big" (a couple weeks behind on TV myself). Fast forward a week and watch the TV. It was Lethal with the roll-up win BUT Pete was right about how bad it looked amid the interference. ROH borrowing an overdone WWE trope of the drawn out roll-up off a distraction? Lame.
  10. I saw you tweet this - asking why companies don't book them 50/50 essentially and it's an interesting thought. Do you mean the WWE, or everyone left outside of WWE at the moment? ROH taped their second Women of Honor TV special tonight (my bet - not earth shattering - is that this airs one of the weeks after Final Battle, or maybe that weekend). This will be the second all WoH TV shown on national syndication this year. I feel like this is worth noting because this is ground breaking in a way. The WWE has never done something like this. You go back to G.L.O.W., right?
  11. If you listen to This Week in Wrestling, Pete has really covered the whole War Machine vs. Lee and Taylor stuff - great feud that is def one of the more interesting things in the ROH product right now. TV match was very good and I like the booking. War Machine needed a win, it was a little out of nowhere and then Lee and Taylor immediately got the heat back with the chair. Pretty straight forward stuff. They did announce that these teams face-off in SanAntonio during SOTF weekend - no rules match, which feels like a No Contest building to a Fight Without Honor (third for the company this year) at Final Battle ,which would be exactly the same type match but with a definitive finish. I like that they're taking it on the road because you only have so much TV time per taping for everyone.
  12. Yes - 7 day trial I believe.
  13. re: drawing no live listeners This is a very challenging task. I've seen very successful shows do live versions and only have a handful of people in an online chat. I don't know when your show runs but I'd imagine the most ideal time would be right after an event or sometime later in the evening. Podcasting is an on-demand service. We've even had some serialized series drop all at once (Fair to Flair) so they can be consumed at the listeners leisure, versus waiting week to week. Otherwise, sticking to a schedule and building a routine (Wednesday night at 11:30pm for example) will help.
  14. Chad has told me before that the actual wrestling talk on your show can be quite good. And since we're looking for new original pods for the pilot versus existing shows that would just jump feeds, DM us if you have any ideas for a project away from WDKW. Not so subtle jab at the tremendous content that WDKW delivers. You can handle the banter so I knew I could get away with that one
  15. Ah if only the logistics of being in Australia and Baltimore worked out a bit better. They're already in from their GWE stuff should it ever happen.
  16. Thanks for posting Danny. We're looking for original ideas, not currently out there in the arena of wrestling podcasts and as noted above, not looking for existing shows just jumping feeds.

  18. Sweet Jesus, that card. That's assault brother.
  19. Working capital loan = donation.
  20. I'm referring to the guy who made the Titantron, not the actual Baron.
  21. That Baron titan tron is the best thing ever. You should really comment on the YT video and give him the link to the Titans series. This is quite literally his wheelhouse. Kelly - we're all onboard for a Titans Errata set!
  22. I feel like with the bar Sting and Vader had already set, Orndorff is my top performer on the show. Really creative limb work in the scope of a falls count anywhere/No DQ match. He was great. That Cactus match has to be the most under-talked about **** match ever. Completely agree with that rating also.
  23. Hey everybody - As you refresh your you'll notice some exciting changes to our two main feeds. First, we were able to change the URL for the PWO-PTBN network and with this one-time opportunity we took a step back and re-branded it to eliminate some confusion (adios acronyms) and are calling it Pro Wrestling Only on the go-forward. Here's the URL: https://soundcloud.com/prowrestlingonly In tandem with that change, the Place to Be Podcast feed - has been renamed Place to Be Nation Wrestling. Everything else remains the same - you don't need to re-subscribe to anything, and all shows will continue to be posted at Place to Be Nation. Thanks again for your support!
  24. You guys had the outro before you got the Watts era, keep it on after - don't see why you'd remove it. I love that it caps each podcast.
  25. ^ To echo Steven there, I was coming in to post that, while I think I'm around ***1/2 capped on that Michaels/Jericho match (and that isn't far off from ****1/4 (Scott Keith) or **** (chadley), it still feels like one of the more overrated Mania matches of all time. It's good. 3-3.5 is a good match as Parv noted, just not close to great/epic/insert Mania moment here status.
