  1. I can vouch for Carl if anyone is interested in some footage from him. Known him for many years now, and a fine gentleman, with an even finer collection!
  2. As soon as Daddy and Pallo go in, Breaks would be the next strongest candidate. But saying that, as much as he's a great worker, he's no Terry Rudge. I might be in the minority but I feel Rudge deserves to be on the ballot for his workrate and his influence (Rudge -> Regal -> Bryan). Has anyone made a case to Dave about Rudge?
  3. I wouldn't vote ANYONE else in the Euro section until Daddy and Pallo are in.
  4. I voted for 9. You also get 5 Non-Wrestler votes.
  5. 6. Download: http://traffic.libsyn.com/wrestlingeye/Episode_9.mp3 Welcome to episode #9 of The Wrestling Eye Podcast, after another long hiatus we're joined by Keith Harris of cagesideseats.com and Dylan Waco of Wrestling Culture podcast to discuss the candidacy of Big Daddy in The Wrestling Observer Hall Of Fame. Keith and I try to convince Dylan to put Big Daddy on his ballot when submitting it for the class of 2015. This episode was due to be around 2hrs long, however I experienced some audio issues, so I was only able to save the conversation we had with Dylan. However, this is a fun show as always! 8. Guess that means Weston, unless he's asking Stu about Apter. Doesn't voting close in two weeks? He may just be trying to anticipate things. Or maybe he's just trying to send Stu a ballot.
  9. A great show as always. Not had a bad show yet. Thanks for all the hard work guys.
  10. Remember, Big Daddy should be on your ballots guys.
  11. No-one defends Daddy the worker. He is more culturally significant in his home country than Muto though. Culturally, the US has never seen anything like Big Daddy. The closest comparisons are Rikdozan and El Santo - both are much bigger than Daddy though. However when Daddy passed it was front page news on all the tabloid newspapers, and was the lead story on BBC and ITV news on the day.
  12. Thank you for recording these shows, they're always fun and very insightful.
  13. Upset at the lack of Terry Rudge love here Chad.
  14. What if the peso didn't crash in the mid 1990's in Mexico?
  15. WrestleWar 1992 War Games match.
  16. Ask him if the RT button is stuck on his twitter machine.
  17. Onita for me is the epitome of this.
  18. Here's a link for people who want to get in to UWFi but find the Japanese a barrier to entry. All 75 Episodes of Bushido: The Way Of The Warrior that was shown on Sky Sports UK from 1995 and then again on Bravo a few years later: http://www.scientificwrestling.com/public/department72.cfm
  19. Enjoying this so far, will finish it off this evening. Todd is fine, but I don't think he's knowledgeable to hang with KrisZ or Bix. He does always raise some interesting points thought. I personally learnt that Sting and Sid were working AJ in 1989.
  20. The coverage worldwide for this story proves that Hogan still is the face of US Wrestling to a huge degree.
  21. Glad this got bumped so I could catch this! Thanks! You're welcome. I really need to start watching the playlist myself!
  22. A different match for you here Bill that'd be fun to review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hqLQGDsCPs
  23. I have no issues with Zenk, his Jim Barnett impressions were on point as well. Plus he used to make Meltzer giggle like a school girl when he was on eYada shows back in the day.
  24. I think it's great that Liger is going to be working in NYC in a large arena for NXT/WWE. I am also very intrigued to what this means in the bigger picture if anything.
  25. He mentioned that he felt that he needed to thank his family as they would always come first, and he has no heat with Brian and Scott over it.
