  1. I think the only way he'd get a 17,000 gate would be if he ran Texas Stadium or The Cotton Bowl. Apples and Oranges compared to New York.
  2. Cesaro / Kidd. Big Show. Page / AJ. Orton. Bryan. Rusev. HHH. Undertaker. Reigns.
  3. A click bait machine.

They need 1 or 2 more to start a stable and one of them could actually be there every week. Batista and someone else. Jericho?
  5. Going to watch like I do every year with my buddies. Regardless of the matchups we always have a fun time. I am somewhat enthused for the show, especially the finish to Reigns Lesnar as well as the other booking decisions. It will be interesting to see what direction the coming will be headed in to April with to try and maintain network numbers.

Easily could of been used as a selling point for the network "Look at the WWE universe dressing up as Superstars that you can revisit for only $9.99 on the WWE network".
  7. Wonderful news. Looking forward to this. Podcasts don't have closed captions though do they
  8. Last appearance on TV was when Scott jobbed to IRS in a KOTR qualifier on RAW on 13/4
  9. Yeah, it's been 30 years now and the only other promoters successful on a national scale in this country were ones willing to sustain losses long term. No other promoter has made pro wrestling work at all. I think in 1994, Pena and AAA were in with a shot. They drew monster houses in Chicago and California if I remember correctly. Did the peso crash around this time putting an end to them running big shows in the states?
  10. I think when the Steiners left in 1994 I knew the division would be in trouble. I'd go with your point that the ship had sailed in early 1994, which links in to the time line as to when the Steiners left.

I thought it was funny It raised a smile from me too. Of course it was hammy, but that's wrestling's charm half the time.
  12. I didn't say it's what I would do. It would be a panic reaction if it occurred. All what if's. Obviously not the best idea admittedly.
  13. If things were REALLY bad and things tank we might see them panic, bring Rock back, turn him heel and put him against Reigns in the next 18-24 months. That or it will be Reigns vs. Show / Kane until the end of time.
  14. Great thread so far, and a good gateway for me.
  15. It was Vince McMahon that hired Vince Russo . VKM was the one who gave Russo a platform to damage the business. I'd blame Linda on that one initially.
  16. He did bring Brian Christopher to the national stage though. So not all bad?
  17. I can see how Alice Radley can be very annoying. She has a great voice for radio, it's what comes out of her mouth is nauseating. She's a Cornette sycophant. Every good radio host should have one right? She's Comedy Dave to Cornette's Chris Moyles.
  18. Praying that this is brought up on an investor call.

WCW did too! My first contact with names like Craig Leathers, and realising Eric Bischoff was more than a B Level announcer. Also the credits on Worldwide in 1993 confirmed David Crockett was still working for WCW.
  20. In some guys it massively enhanced their character - Sandman, Balls Mahoney, The Gangstas etc and I think when the music is taken away, some of what made them click with the audience is lost.
  21. I voted Arn. More consistency and longevity. I'm another who never really got Tully as a "super worker".
  22. Current rotation: Wrestling: Any Melty show Where The Big Boys Play Shake Them Ropes VOW Goodwill Wrestling When I like the guests: Anything that Joe Gagne recommends Non Wrestling: After Dark Simon Mayo's Confessions No Such Thing As A Fish
  23. Underwhelmed by the 'Mania direction
