  1. I like The Elite. I like Punk. I like Hangman. I love Larry the Dog. I adore Scott Colton's mother and want to share a bank account with her too. I salivate over Mindy's Bakery but they're not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. So, I'm not sure what you're suggesting. I never said one was legit and the other wasn't, just that I don't think Punk is the source of this leak, because why would he leak being afraid of Hangman? The name starts with an H and an A, but it's still Hangman, not Haku.
  2. Which is why it's hard to take DM seriously about this story. He is clearly not an impartial, unbiased source of information. Which is why I'm hesitant to believe these leaks are coming from Punk's side. Why would he leak that he was afraid of Hangman in a physical fight? May as well say you're afraid of Disco Inferno because it sounds the same.
  3. EVPs acting like fucking schoolchildren and storming in - whether they kicked, superkicked, or just pushed the door in - I'd say is very deliberate.
  4. Punk's dog was apparently injured during the brawl. If so... FUCK KENNY OMEGA FUCK THE YOUNG BUCKS FUCK TONY KHAN
  5. How long before WWE loses faith in Sheamus Jr. and brings in the GOAT Mauro Ranallo to Monday nights?
  6. And Punk's peak years were even longer ago than that, so what's your point exactly?
  7. Your reply is some real AtariLogic. At no point did I ever suggest that Punk wasn't a draw, but I hope you enjoyed arguing with yourself? The Codyverse segments were tiresome by the end. Being hamstrung by the no World Title shot stip didn't have to necessitate a heel turn. Obviously, we'd have to rewind the clock here and undo six months to a year's worth of bad angles, but this is where strong leadership comes in. Let's say, for the sake of example, the jingoistic Ogogo promo was the turning point. Before that, there could have been a million ways for a red hot babyface Cody to get a World Title shot. Instead, Tony apparently took too much of a backseat - just as he did at the CM Punk media scrum and just as he's doing now with Bryan. What Danielson wants is irrelevant. Did Vince let him job to Gulak? No. Tony needs to do the same thing and put his foot down. Imagine a red hot Danielson coming in with Punk's push, instead of what we did get. I know Atari will argue otherwise, but Danielson is a bigger star and better wrestler in every conceivable metric.
  8. My quick thoughts on the whole situation: 1. More and more, it's becoming apparent that Cody was the only adult in the room. I was practically laughed off of PWO for saying that his departure would be a massive blow to the promotion. It was and continues to be. AEW has fallen apart at the seams without him. 2. Punk had completely valid concerns and made completely valid points, but he expressed them in the absolute worst way possible. 3. Punk was right about the "wrestling media." Even Meltzer and Ariel Helwani have shown their asses lately by complaining like toddlers about their sudden "lack of access" to private business and legal matters in AEW. 4. Buying out Punk's contract would be absurd. He is more interesting, more dynamic, more entertaining, and more of a star than almost anyone else in AEW - and that includes The Elite, Hangman Page, and MJF. The locker room will always have people who don't get along. Is a buyout going to be the answer every time? Come on... 5. With all of that said, Punk's push should have gone to Bryan Danielson. I cannot believe how badly Danielson has been misused.
  9. Prediction: Roddy will be driving the ambulance
  10. Commentary aside, the Casket Match was actually damn good. MOTN so far?
  11. Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship: Bron Breakker © vs. JD McDonagh vs. Ilja Dragunov NXT Women's Championship Match: Mandy Rose © vs. Alba Fyre Fatal Five-Way Ladder Match for the VACANT NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes vs. Oro Mensah vs. Wes Lee vs. Von Wagner vs. Nathan Frazer "Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal" Weapons Wild Match: Cora Jade vs. Roxanne Perez "Spin the Wheel, Make a Deal" Match: Apollo Crews vs. Grayson Waller Ambulance Match: Julius Creed vs. Damon Kemp (Brutus Creed leaves NXT if Damon Kemp wins)
  12. Conspiracy theory: TK released Ace Steele just so he'd have news to give Meltzer to keep DM happy. Fuck Ariel Helwani though. What a sycophantic crybaby.
  13. Legit injury suffered by Hangman. Damn.
  14. Hiding an uncharismatic oaf in a tag team is a tale as old as time.
  15. An Ahmed comeback would've been better to me than an OC return. At least Ahmed was a big deal at one point. The WWE OC never has been.
  16. The OC is the shits! #RootingForDom
  17. Alpha Academy = massively over The OC = ice cold, never over But AA loses every week, and will lose again to the official, the original, the only Club that doesn't, never has, and never will matter. Makes sense...
  18. Not my post - really! - but I couldn't agree more.
  19. This is a real whopper of a statement after podcasts and tweets led to major issues between Sammy Guevara and Andrade.
  20. One of them is a jobber on Dark who still hasn't gotten signed, and his arrogance and stupidity are obvious reasons why. The other is a future WWE World Champ. It's a shame because I'm actually a big fan of JD Drake and I hate it when wrestlers self-sabotage like he's doing here. Exactly. JD Drake really comes across as a giant mark for himself. Completely unwarranted, because Tony Khan is willing to sign anything with a pulse - Tony Nese, Bobby Fish, etc. - but even he's all like "nope" when it comes to offering Drake a contract. Again, I like Drake and would sign him over many of the people who have gotten deals, but now I can see why that hasn't happened yet.
  21. LMAO! This is the height of arrogance and stupidity. I like JD Drake, but no one knows who the fuck he is, and he's off his rocker if he thinks NXT's Josh Briggs stole anything from him. Now I know why Drake never really "made it."
  22. What's wrong with Fight Club? I saw the movie years after the fact, so the ending had long been spoiled for me. (I only watched it to help a niece with a school paper.) I enjoyed it anyway because it was neat to see all the breadcrumbs they threw along the way.
  23. DX is old and lame now. Such is the cycle of life. I certainly didn't have it on my 2022 Bingo card that Daddy Ass (not present - Piss Ant Company™, etc.) would be the coolest member of the group. They were smart to mention him so the fans wouldn't hijack the show with "Daddy Ass" and "scissor me" chants (although I'm not convinced that was ever a legitimate possibility). I'm glad Chyna was acknowledged. The Good Brothers are shit, but that segment was so well laid out that I was actually rooting for them to show up as AJ's backup. Omos might actually be a good 4th for that group. That way, MVP can reunite The Hurt Business and go back to managing Lashley.
  24. I'm shocked how dead this thread is.
  25. Nothing yet, but the night is still young. So much fun! Even if it did have a bit of WWE silliness with barrels, antiques, etc.
